"Do you know what having many Rare grade skills implies? Including items?" Griffin asked, standing in front of Kaiju with a meter distance.
Since Kaiju had spent two thousand Luck Points, his appearance was striking, compared to the previous disheveled, worn-out clothes' Kaiju. Rare grade artifacts cost eight hundred to a thousand Luck Points each, so he bought a set Rare grade artifacts, one to cover his upper torso and lower torso, costing him exactly two thousand Luck Points.
{Shadoweave Battlegarb
Type: Light Armor

Effects:
+20% Evasion: Enhances the wearer's ability to dodge physical attacks.
Shadow Blend: Slightly reduces visibility in low-light conditions, increasing stealth by 10%.
Reinforced Fabric: Provides moderate resistance to slashing and piercing attacks.}
The battlegarb suited him quite finely as he quickly liked it. With the Bloodthorn dagger on his right hand, taking a battle stance as his Ring of Venomous Resilience glimmered under the red and blue moonlight, adding with his three Rare grade skills, Kaiju, no doubt, appeared to be on the same level of Awakener.
Faced with such an unexpected question, Kaiju replied, "Yes, it means I'm an Awakener."
"But you are not." Griffin nodded solemnly. "You are not different from those spoiled brats having a silver spoon. So, right now, what we need to do is to dull the silver spoon."
Griffin, holding an ordinary stick with his right hand, as his sheathed rapier rested on his left waist, took a stance and suddenly vanished.
Kaiju was startled, but as he instantly activated the Emotionless skill, he calmed down and heightened his focus. Although he could have relied on the Pain Tolerance, the passive effects would only activate once he received damage. Hence, he had an idea about his battle style and aimed to refine it.
Griffin suddenly appeared behind him and Kaiju was unaware. All he perceived was a burst of breeze assaulting him, causing him to even close his eyelids lightly to avoid letting the wind damage his eyeballs. Before he knew it, his battlegarb was filled with scars of countless slashes and piercing attacks. Some part of his skin, left unprotected, especially his hands were filled with lacerated wounds, shocking him to the core.
Kaiju moved his head left and right, searching for Griffin's presence, but Griffin already revealed his information as his voice echoed behind his back.
"So, you won't have to rely on the silver spoon anymore and your value won't be any lesser than it."

The battle continued for less than five minutes as Kaiju fell to the floor, panting. Kaiju deactivated the Emotionless skill. The psychological impact brought by the skill after activating for a long time was beginning to take effect. The least he wanted to happen was to become an emotionless human.
Kaiju started to discern the terror creeping unto him, recalling those moments that Griffin kept vanishing and his voice resonated all over the place, as if he was just there yet was also in another place. Griffin, for some reason, kept yapping, but compared to the Overlord beast, his words made sense.
Kaiju was taught how to defend, his flaws were being revealed and exposed by Griffin. Slowly, Kaiju was beginning to adapt, but even then, nothing changed. Even with the passive effects of the Shadoweave Battle garb. After all, Griffin would just increase the intensity of his attacks, leaving him even no choice but to dismiss the battlegarb as it might be destroyed entirely.
The battlegarb damage would be repaired with Luck Points, so Kaiju didn't worry about the damage, but… the price itself.
"You are adapting really well." Griffin manifested in front of him. "I applaud you for that."
Kaiju tilted his head upward, still breathing heavily. Griffin's appearance, from head to toe was imprinted in his mind. His short curly white hair, viridescent pupil, hunter eyes, roman nose, red lips, and milky-white skins made him appear handsome. However, Kaiju was by no means attracted to him, but rather suddenly desired to become like him–that one day, he would be looking down on someone he took down with barely any effort and left a deep, striking impression.
Hence, Kaiju had to admit that any form of compliment from him was genuine and should be taken with gratitude. Kaiju nodded, and as he was not an ungrateful person, sat up in a lotus position and bowed.
"Thank you, teacher!"
Griffin nodded and felt satisfied.
"You know how to be grateful. Maintain that character."
"Understood."
Kaiju sensed Griffin must be giving him a chance to rest, so he didn't hesitate but to buy water from the store that cost him ten Luck Points.
What Kaiju noticed about the new feature, Store, by the Gacha System was that… it couldn't still be compared to the item he received from the draws. At first, he thought performing Gacha Draws would be meaningless with the appearance of the Store, but he was mistaken. First, the effects, if he compared the Bloodthorn and Ring of Venomous Resilience, received from the Gacha Draws, to the Shadoweave Battlegarb, a set Raregrade artifact, the two former would possess overwhelming effects compared to the latter.
Furthermore, the Shadoweave armor cost him two thousand Luck Points, which only covered the upper torso and lower torso, still could be considered as a set. While Bloodthorn and Ring of Venomous Resilience was obtained through lucky draws–although it cost more than a thousand Luck Points, Kaiju still received some attribute enhancement, so he really didn't lose a lot, compared to buying from the store.
Hence, Kaiju had decided he would spend his Luck Points more to the Gacha Draws rather than store.
As Kaiju was lost in thought and had just finished drinking water, Griffin said, "I wonder how your pets are doing well right now. I can still understand that little white snake of yours choosing Lucy to be your teacher, wanting to earn spells, but I'm so confused why would that monkey choose that fanatic religious believer."
Kaiju glanced at him and sighed.
"Snow has an elemental affinity with poison and ice, so it was normal for him to choose Lucy. Of course, we will still learn from Qwanisha's course, since Qwanisha will be teaching us three about scouting and survival skills. However, even I am bewildered why Little Gorilla chose Faith. Even he said to me he would be willing to convert, just so he could be under her tutelage."
Kaiju hesitated but then made up his mind and asked Griffin in a low voice, "Does Faith have a Mind Hex skill?"
Griffin stared at him for a while and bursted into laughter.
"No way. Perhaps, there is really something from her that attracts that monkey of yours. Well, we will see the improvements after three months."
Kaiju nodded.
After all, Qwanisha and others decided that Kaiju and his pets would be under one teacher for three months, and then three months after that, they would be learning from Qwanisha and Max for survival and others.
After taking a quick rest, Kaiju resumed his training.
