Snow's milky white eyes widened, revealing what it seemed to be snowflakes. She nodded vigorously and licked the wound she caused.
Kaiju panicked for a second when he glimpsed a purple liquid sticking out of Snow's tongue, seeping through his gaping wound.
However, he grasped Snow was now his pet, and the latter should have been intelligent enough to comprehend what could harm his owner.
He finally registered why he was not poisoned.
"If I remember correctly from the lesson, one can gain the passive skill through experiencing it. For instance, gaining Fire Resistance skill by undergoing extreme heat. Those rich families even utilized that forceful method to their children to gain as many skills as possible," Kaiju mumbled, staring dazedly at Snow, seemingly healed his wound already.
His eyes widened and instantly thought Snow has a healing skill, but he realized it should not be the case.
An idea suddenly struck him. He could actually obtain his current status by calling the system… the Tower system, in fact. However, now that the Gacha System interfered, he believed he would have to rely on the Gacha System now.
Without dilly-dallying, he called the Gacha System to show his status.
{Name: Kaiju

Rank: Unawakened
Title: Beastmaster
Luck: 600

Kaiju read his status meticulously, seeing other functions that, from what he recalled his teacher taught him, did not exist… until now he saw it with his own eyes.
He was certain there was no such thing as Luck, as other's status window only possessed Name, Rank, Class, Title, Attributes, Skills, Inventory, and Store.
Curiosity itched him when he saw the Gacha System Interface.
Although he was shocked to discover he had another skill aside from Poison Immunity, as it was expected after eating the toxic mushroom due to his ignorance, he was more itching to know about the Gacha System Interface.
Since it was labeled as close, all he had to do was order the Gacha System to open it.

Kaiju took his time to read it meticulously, sometimes reading back the word he last recalled before being distracted by some random thoughts. However, his concentration escalated when he read the Epic Draw until the Legendary Draw, having a slight idea of the rewards he would be able to obtain from them.
He drew a sharp breath.
"So, this is the Gacha System?" He pondered in a daze.
He was awed, terrified, amazed, excited… all different emotions conflicted inside him.
He recognized he obtained an otherworldly… What should he call it?
The Gacha System was simply shrouded in enigma.
However, he was not worried… At least, he found his new life a bit exciting now.
Instantly, he had the desire to perform a withdrawal. If he recalled correctly he obtained Luck Points…
"Wait! My Luck Points are multiplied ten times, too?!" His heart raced, almost staggering to the floor in fright. "Aren't I basically cheating?"
But then, he recalled those children of his generations raised and spoiled by the wealthy, especially those who had parents as a Ranker, like the Tyrant appearing on his head.
"So." He grinned. "I am not basically cheating. Just that I obtained new step-parents." He giggled silly.
He shook his head, called the system to show his Luck Points and discovered it was 600 Luck Points.
As a result, he could obtain 6 Rare Tickets!
Without hesitation, he converted all the Luck Points to Rare Tickets and performed a draw.
{You have chosen to perform a Rare draw!
The reward is being chosen… please wait!}
Kaiju was shivering from waiting, nervous from the sudden idea that the Gacha System might still be just a dream and excited if he would receive a reward just by drawing on a Gacha Game.
The Gacha System did not wait for him for too long though. The familiar feminine voice reverberated inside his mind again.
But this time… it seemed to be the voice of an angel.
[The reward has been chosen!
Congratulations! You have been rewarded with a Rare Skill, Edible Plant Identification.]
Kaiju rejoiced.
However, his euphoria did not last long when he was struck by an excruciating pain tingling on his eyes.
Even so, the pain was insufficient to bring him down to his knees. Even if the Gacha System did not include the Pain Tolerance on his skill, he was confident that an excruciating pain – supposed to be – was akin to some ant biting on his skin.
Kaiju only closed his eyes, trying to be accustomed to the pain until it faded away. When he opened them again, he was taken aback, seeing a load of information as long as his eyes lingered to a plant, or even fungi, like mushrooms – for a second or more, he would see a wall of text beside it.
When he read it… it certainly was information about the plant he was seeing.
His heart raced.
His mind turned blank, trying to process what he should feel, how, why… he was overwhelmed by endless questions.
In the end, he could only grin.
He said, his tone was shivering, "A-Aren't this a little too good?"
