Though unsure of what the boss was planning, Drak'nira knew better than to question orders.
Drak'nira turned and pointed at a group of Goblin minions.
"Go fetch dead wood and bring it back!"
The Goblin minions exchanged glances before turning and running deep into the forest.
"The rest of you, make rope from tree bark."
Bark rope was a commonly used item among Goblins.
"What are you waiting for? Get moving!"
At Drak'nira's barking, the Goblin minions shuddered and sprinted into the forest.
In the time that followed, the Goblins busied themselves on the shore.
From time to time, Goblins would drag out dead wood of various sizes from the forest.
A large pile of dead wood quickly accumulated on the shore.
"Strange, how could Goblins be ambushed by a human adventurer party?"
Standing on the riverbank, Aden gazed at the surging river and fell into deep thought.
The SimLife information about human adventurers had caught Aden's attention.
Goblins were able to survive in the Warcraft-infested forest thanks to their powerful sense of smell.
Even downwind, they could judge whether an area was safe by the lingering scent of Warcraft.
It was impossible for humans to ambush Goblins.
Goblins could detect the presence of humans from a great distance.
"It seems I must change the route!"
He couldn't follow the path predicted by SimLife.
Otherwise, his life would be in danger.
"Boss, is this enough?"
Drak'nira approached with a sycophantic grin.
Aden turned to look at the pile of dead wood on the riverbank.
"Not enough, keep collecting!"
There were a total of six Goblins, so the raft had to be large.
The river was too turbulent for a small raft.
Aden walked towards the pile of dead wood.
"You, you, you, and you, use the bark rope to tie these dead woods together, one after another, without overlapping!"
On the shore, Aden began directing the Goblin minions to make a raft.
"This is how you tie it to make it sturdy, remember?"
"Idiot, not like that, like this."
"Come here, let me demonstrate again."
The slow-learning Goblins were a trial for Aden's patience.
Fortunately, Aden was a patient person.
With Aden's repeated teachings, the Goblins finally learned how to tie the dead wood.
Time ticked away, and as the sun set, the day was gone.
On the riverbank, a raft had taken shape.
The long night passed quietly as the Goblins slept soundly.
The next morning, under Aden's urging, the Goblin minions continued their work.
By the afternoon, the raft was finally completed.
"Very good, is everyone here?"
Looking at the ten-meter-long raft in front of him, Aden nodded with satisfaction.
Although it looked a bit ugly, that didn't matter.
Aden had only one requirement for the raft: to float.
Drak'nira glanced at the Goblin minions.
"Boss, everyone's here!"
"Let's start crossing the river then!"
Aden stepped forward and boarded the raft.
"Come on, split to the left and right, push the raft into the river!"
To make it easier to push the heavy raft into the water, Aden had deliberately chosen a gentle slope when making the raft.
The Goblin minions quickly split to the sides and grabbed the ropes.
"Heave, pull!"
At Aden's command, the Goblin minions pulled with all their might.
The heavy raft shook slightly and began to move slowly.
The speed increased, faster and faster.
"Alright, get on, quickly!"
Seeing the raft sliding into the water, Aden hurriedly urged the Goblin minions.
The Goblin minions jumped onto the raft with some panic.
Fortunately, without any major incidents, all the Goblin minions made it onto the raft.
With a "plop," water splashed everywhere.
The raft successfully plunged into the river.
The rapid current pushed the raft downstream.
Aden quickly grabbed a pole as thick as an arm and forcefully inserted it into the water at the head of the raft.
The river was deep, taking a full five meters to reach the riverbed.
In the turbulent river, Aden struggled to control the raft as it drifted towards the opposite bank.
After drifting several kilometers with the current, the raft finally reached the other side.
"Get in the water!"
At a section of the river with a slower current, Aden shouted loudly.
He dropped the pole and jumped into the river,
The Goblin minions quickly grabbed the ropes and got in the water as well.
The huge raft was gradually pulled ashore bit by bit.
They stopped when half of the raft was on land and could not be pulled any further.
"Tie it down tightly, we'll need it on the way back!"
Not entirely trusting, Aden personally took a bark rope and tied it to a large tree on the riverbank.
"Boss, you're so smart!"
Drak'nira had never thought of crossing a river this way.
This was much easier than swimming.
"Let's go, move out!"
The Goblin hunting party, who had hurriedly disembarked, quickly entered the forest again.
Unconsciously, the team had already entered a river valley.
"Boss, I smell something annoying, it's lizardmen!"
As they walked, Drak'nira suddenly made a new discovery.
Drak'nira, who was walking at the forefront, flared his nostrils.
At this point, the team had only penetrated less than three kilometers into the forest.
Aden also caught a faint whiff of decay.
"Are lizardmen strong?"
Drak'nira looked around warily and nodded.
"They are strong. They like to live in swamps, and any creature that enters the swamp is killed by them."
"Sometimes they leave the swamp to hunt Warcraft. Many hunting parties have encountered them. Although they don't particularly like the taste of Goblin meat, they will kill Goblins on sight."
SimLife did not predict an encounter with lizardmen in the future.
This meant they were not supposed to meet any lizardmen.
"Let's go, let's detour!"
The smell of decay came from the front left.
That direction should be a swamp area connected to the river.
The Goblin team in the forest changed direction and headed northwest.
"Boss, boss, it's a Wind Hare!"
After walking for a while, Malphas, who was at the forefront, ran towards Aden with a joyful face.
"Boss, Wind Hare is delicious. Let's catch it."
Malphas looked at the boss with anticipation.
His drool was flowing.
Wind Hare?
Aden's expression slightly changed, and his eyes brightened.
He had been waiting for the Wind Hare.
He didn't expect to encounter it so soon.
Aden nodded at Drak'nira.
Drak'nira grinned, with drool flowing from the corner of his mouth.
"Hunting, hunting, Wind Hare, Wind Hare!"
Although the words were not coherent, they made the Goblin minions' eyes light up.
All the Goblins slowed down and spread out to the left and right.
They had already caught the scent of the Wind Hare.
In the dim forest, dozens of Goblins moved cautiously in a fan shape.
