Chapter 17 - chapter 17: Shopping Spree

In the morning, as the sun rose over Italy, Jay felt a deep sense of belonging he hadn't known he'd missed until now. Italy was truly home, and this time, he was back with a family he could cherish.

After getting dressed, he went downstairs for breakfast, where everyone was already seated: Amelia, Celia, and his family members, all gathered at the long dining table. As they ate, Sofia smiled warmly, setting down her cup of coffee.

"Jay, we've organized a party in your honor tonight. It'll be a chance for you to meet old family friends and some influential people in Italy," Sofia said with pride.

Jay looked up, surprised. "A party?"

"Yes, it's quite a big deal," his father added with a smile. "Since you've passed your test, it's time you're formally introduced back into the circles you grew up in. We'll be holding it on the yacht tonight."

Jay nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and responsibility. "Alright then, I'll be ready."

"Well, you might need some new outfits," his mother chimed in, eyes sparkling. "I'd say we all could use a bit of shopping, don't you think?" She looked over at Amelia and Celia with a playful smile.

"Shopping sounds good," Amelia replied, a touch shy but clearly pleased.

Sofia turned to Jay, raising an eyebrow. "Shall we make it a family outing, then?"

"Definitely," Jay replied. "Let's get everyone something special for tonight."

A few hours later, they arrived at the biggest luxury mall in Italy. Sofia walked in with an effortless elegance, looking around the mall as if she were surveying a familiar kingdom. Jay led them into one of the finest designer stores, where the staff immediately recognized Sofia and greeted them with warmth.

Sofia turned to Celia first. "You must get something stunning for tonight," she said with a gentle smile. She gestured toward the racks filled with exquisite gowns and dresses. Celia looked a bit overwhelmed, but Sofia gently nudged her toward a gorgeous deep emerald dress.

"Try this one. It'll bring out your eyes beautifully," Sofia encouraged. Celia smiled, disappearing into the fitting room. She emerged a few minutes later, the dress fitting her perfectly, hugging her figure and accentuating her features. Jay couldn't help but nod approvingly.

"Beautiful, Celia," he said, causing her to blush a bit.

Sofia then turned to Amelia. "Alright, your turn! Let's find you something that makes a statement." After browsing through several options, Sofia held up a sleek, elegant red gown. "This one. Trust me."

Amelia took it, a bit uncertain, but when she emerged from the fitting room, everyone's jaw dropped. The gown highlighted her natural beauty in a way that left even Jay momentarily speechless.

"Wow, Amelia," he said, his voice low with admiration.

Amelia blushed, averting her eyes. "Thanks, Jay."

With the girls' dresses taken care of, Sofia went to find something for herself. She chose an exquisite royal blue dress that emphasized her graceful aura, and Jay found himself smiling, proud of how stunning his mother looked.

Finally, Jay headed to a store specializing in suits. He tried on a dark navy suit with a perfect cut, made from the finest fabric. The staff presented him with another ten suits, each hand-selected to suit his stature and taste, and Jay approved them all with satisfaction. As he glanced in the mirror, he felt like the man he had grown into.

After the shopping, they decided to head to a five-star restaurant for lunch. As they entered, they were greeted by a familiar face—Isabella, a close family friend and the third daughter of a prominent Italian family. As soon as she saw Jay, she broke into a grin and hugged him tightly.

"Jay! It's been ages!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with genuine excitement.

"It really has, Isabella," Jay replied, smiling warmly. They began catching up, laughing over shared memories. But Jay noticed the brief glances from both Amelia and Celia, their eyes flashing with a hint of jealousy, and smirked to himself. It was a bit amusing to see them so unexpectedly affected.

+ 100 negative points has been awarded to host . Jay instinctively knew this was due to amelia and Celia.

As they finished lunch, Jay turned to Isabella. "We're having a party tonight on the yacht. I'd love it if you could come."

"Of course!" Isabella said enthusiastically. "I wouldn't miss it."

After saying their goodbyes, the family left the mall, the ladies heading back home

and Jay headed to one of Italy's most prestigious car dealerships, intent on adding something extraordinary to his collection for his return home. He strolled into the gleaming showroom, his gaze immediately drawn to a sleek, rare Bugatti sitting proudly on display. Its design and engineering were impeccable, a true masterpiece.

As Jay approached, the dealership manager, a man in his fifties with a polished demeanor, sized him up with a skeptical glance. Jay was dressed casually, and the manager seemed unimpressed, almost dismissive in his manner.

Jay walked up to the Bugatti, letting his fingers glide over its smooth, flawless surface. "I'm interested in this one," he said, turning to the manager.

The manager raised an eyebrow, his expression a mix of skepticism and forced politeness. "The Bugatti is… not an average purchase, sir. It's a rare, exclusive model—only ten in the world." He paused, glancing at Jay's attire with a subtle smirk. "The price is quite steep. It costs 6.7 million dollars."

Jay's jaw clenched slightly at the manager's condescending tone. He wasn't someone who flaunted his wealth, but the manager's attitude grated on him. Without breaking eye contact, Jay pulled out his phone and tapped a few buttons, completing a wire transfer in seconds.

"I'll pay 7 million for it," Jay replied, his voice calm but firm. "And please, speak to Antonio about the paperwork. I'll be taking the car now."

The manager's eyes widened in shock as he received confirmation of the wire transfer. His tone shifted instantly to one of respect, a bit of awe even. "Of course, may I know your name sir " jay replied "jay Giovanni!"

Dealer replied " Giovanni oh my god are you from that Giovanni family " he knew that today his job was at risk ." Mr. Jay. I… I apologize if there was any misunderstanding."

Jay gave him a curt nod, already walking toward the driver's side of the Bugatti. He settled into the driver's seat, feeling the car's power beneath him, a perfect symbol of his new chapter. With a quick turn of the key, the engine roared to life, a deep, resonant sound that spoke of speed and elegance.

As he drove back to the mansion, the cityscapes of Italy blurring past, Jay allowed himself a small smile. The car was his, and he'd won it on his terms.
