Chapter 14
Chapter 14: Uchiha's Love for the Village!
Under the sunset, in a quiet room, Uchiha Yosuke and Uchiha Mikoto stood facing each other.
"Mikoto-san!"
Just as Yosuke spoke, Mikoto gave him a warm, understanding smile.
"Yosuke-kun, this is the fastest way to get you into the upper circles of the clan."
Looking at Mikoto, Yosuke felt a surge of warmth. He knew she was worried about him.
The Hereditary Disease!
Those three words were a nightmare for bloodline clans. As just a recently awakened Sharingan user, Yosuke was hardly worth such an investment from the clan.
Each bottle of cell stabilizing serum cost between 600,000 and 900,000 ryo, with potential increases based on his physical state and usage frequency. In the proud Uchiha clan, only the Sharingan was considered the most powerful; other abilities were seen as weak.
Despite his dual bloodline, Yosuke barely stirred interest within the Uchiha clan.
Yosuke sighed, pushing this to the back of his mind before asking with a puzzled expression, "Mikoto-san, about Kushina?"
When the subject of Kushina Uzumaki came up, Mikoto's face showed a faint, resigned smile.
"Yosuke-kun, I may have approached her on behalf of the clan, but Kushina is a tragic figure too. She even knows why I initially approached her, but we've become good friends anyway."
Although older than Kushina, Mikoto spoke fondly, a gentle smile gracing her face as she recalled their friendship.
"This time, you don't need to take the mission too seriously. Just go through the motions. I've already arranged everything with Kushina…"
Hearing Mikoto's plans, Yosuke realized how much she had done for him.
The hereditary illness! Mikoto didn't want him at risk and had taken charge of the situation, managing everything on both sides.
Seeing the look in Yosuke's eyes, Mikoto added with a rare playful smile, "I didn't do this just for you, you know. I also have my own reasons. After all, when the old man steps down, I might not be able to handle things alone. I'll need your help."
If Mikoto had five or six more years, she'd have enough confidence to take over Elder Setsuna's influence.
The Uchiha clan valued bloodlines, but even more so, it valued strength.
Yosuke chuckled, teasing, "Then in the future, Mikoto-san, the clan will depend on us!"
The two shared a lighthearted moment, forgetting their worries.
As Mikoto prepared to leave, she glanced back, her eyes flashing red with Sharingan.
"Yosuke-kun, train well. I'm aiming to become a Special Jounin soon."
This last comment left Yosuke speechless as he watched her depart.
Once she was gone, Yosuke looked around the now empty room, narrowing his eyes.
"Uchiha..."
Rubbing his temples, Yosuke smiled, feeling a sense of belonging with this intense and traditional family.
In the ninja world, where strength is paramount, the Uchiha's philosophy of power made far more sense than the Hyuga's.
"As my ancestors once said, when you lack the power to change things, you must learn to blend in."
With that thought, Yosuke's smile widened. He truly loved this place.

At the Senju Clan Compound.
"It's late. What do you have to report?"
In public, Tsunade now maintained a cold demeanor following her brother's death.
Yosuke bowed, replying respectfully, "Captain Tsunade, the clan already knows I've awakened the Sharingan and that I possess a dual bloodline. I was summoned to the Naka Shrine today to meet the clan head and elders."
"From what I observed, the apparent split between the elders and the clan head seems like a performance for outsiders."
Listening to Yosuke's report, Tsunade scoffed inwardly. The Senju were well aware of this tactic; it was clear to any keen observer. It was merely a ploy to ease tension between the Uchiha's radicals and moderates.
"You mean they ordered you to approach Kushina in secret?"
Upon hearing this, Tsunade's expression turned serious. She knew how much the Uchiha clan yearned for high-level trust.
"Mikoto-san secretly contacted me and told me Kushina already knows—it's just a formality."
Yosuke revealed every detail of the meeting at Naka Shrine without leaving anything out.
Tsunade raised an eyebrow and studied him closely. "Kid, aren't you troubled by betraying your clan's secrets like this?"
Yosuke's face became serious as he replied, "Captain Tsunade, I am not betraying my clan! The village was founded by both Senju and Uchiha. I have never forgotten that! Everything I do is for the clan and the village!"
"Uchiha's love for the village is no less than that of the Senju or anyone else here!"
His voice filled with emotion, and his eyes showed the glint of the Sharingan. Yosuke continued, growing more impassioned:
"Captain Tsunade, we live in a world of endless war. Our village suffers, and even our elders struggle with poverty and illness. The Uchiha have always fought for peace, and our fire users haven't shied away from the rain-soaked battlefields!"
His passion caught Tsunade by surprise as his Sharingan spun with determination.
"Our enemy has never been the village. It's always been those who seek to divide and weaken us!"
Looking at Yosuke's earnest expression, Tsunade gave a rare nod of respect.
"I understand. I apologize for my earlier comment," she said.
This apology left Yosuke momentarily stunned, but then he remembered her straightforward nature.
Her brown eyes shone with a mix of respect and pride as she continued.
"Captain Tsunade!" Yosuke took a deep breath, his Sharingan fading as he drew a scroll from his pouch.
It was time to begin drawing her closer to his cause.
