Chapter 3 - Superior

[Tokyo, San'ya, 16 years before the Tokyo Takeover incident]

Under the rainfall and the night time covered by grey heavy clouds, the Police were pursuing a hooded figure across the district until finally they localized her and seized her down.

"You gave us a lot of trouble"

"Let go of me you pigs, I need to provide for my brother" she said.

The officers started to beat her with their baton, with each strike she thought:

"Why? Why such nefarious intent? Why such abuse down this world. Where is the justice here, I only want to help him."

The officers proceeded with one last kick before leaving her but they wouldn't get far as you could hear the sound of swords swinging. She slowly got up to witness her saviour.

"Konro we talked about this, I can handle myself, if they were to find you they would bring you into one of those places."

"What am I supposed to do, let them murder you over a piece of bread-replied Konro. Whoever they send after me, we'll just have to kill them all big sister."

"Lets just go we need to eat" she sighed.

and thus both went back to their small flat, the becoming-god and the one person that would prevent him from becoming a [LEADER].

[San'ya, Shelter for Unwanted Kids]

The siblings arrived and went straight to bed, the shelter may be advertised as a safe place but to those who lived in it, it was the opposite. Those who taught and guarded them were apathetic, never really caring for them and why would they? They all had their own families to attend to and the [LEADERS] didn't help. they were sometimes starved or beaten, the survival of the fittest. In this shelter for all including the adults and the sinless kids became some sort of a twisted family and those two, not being bonded by blood still viewed themselves as brother and sister.

"So do you remember-asked Heiwa?"

"I told you already, they subjugated me before I even opened my eyes. How could someone remember a face" Konro muttered angrily.

"Still I believe they're still somewhere, in this dusty world where almost all things exists, hope is important. Don't you agree leader?" Heiwa asked playfully.

"I told you not to call me that, this isn't a power its a fucking curse" replied Konro starting to treat her wounds.

"If anyone should be a leader it's you, you're sacrificing your own body for others, for me" Konro's voice became quitter and the siblings started to cry silently as no one, not even the greatest leaders would even care to look at them.

[3 days later]

Konro wandered around the poor neighborhood, the very familiar smells of oil and fire greeting him, he stopped next to a big screen on the building to see the news. there were a lot of headlines addressing someone named King Nothing and then the news showed the recent wars in Europe. None of this interested Konro, he just shrugged off and went about his day as usual, robbing stores and stealing money all so he and his sister could live, not a good life but almost a normal one financially speaking. Being a [LEADER] helped him but he was getting tired and annoyed, he could never find his place among the high or the low so he was just fine in the middle.

After a full day of exhausting his powers he returned to the shelter where he saw Heiwa weirdly smiling, she waved him to come closer to her where he saw she was near a large group of other children.

"We're going to rob a bank" she whispered confidently.

"Are you fucking insane?" Konro was shocked that they would even think about this kind of possibility as the bank was part of the future king.

"We know that but it was reported that he'll be away, so we must seize our chance, you manifested your armor and army right?" Heiwa was so excited she was practically tearing up.

"yea so?"

"then no one stands a chance against our group because we got you so what do you say?"

Konro stopped for a second, he was being used by the closest person he knew but he also noticed her bruises again, if the world isn't fair why should he?

"I'll think about it okay?" Konro said and left for the backyard of the shelter.

In the backyard Konro pondered about his decision, even if he's a leader he will be compared to an ant fighting the future king and the security of the bank can't be that easy to break or else it would've been burned to the ground by now. But then he remembered their lives, poor, miserable, puny compared to the leaders and if they can get this money even by illegal means then maybe it was worth a try.

Konro was now filled with a new resolve

"It's us against the world right sister?" Konro walked back summoning his army.

[2 Weeks Later]

Everything was ready, the group armed themselves with guns and Konro practiced his Overrule in order to use it more efficiently. The plan was to break in before sunrise but after midnight to not raise suspicion. Two of the kids would distract the guards and disarm them while Konro would continue and break the vaults, then they would all make a run for it with the money. It was perfect for them, not thinking about cameras or witnesses but that didn't worry the siblings, they were hopeless after all.

[10 Hours before the break in]

Heiwa and Konro sat on the roof staring at the clouds

"Its not gonna work" Konro said with no emotion.

"I'm telling you I checked everything and it all matches, the cameras will be turned off and no one should be outside at that hour especially with the reports of King Nothing being in Japan." Heiwa replied with an angry tone since Konro didn't trust her.

"Even with all that, you all count on me to take care of you all and I don't even trust myself with this power, what kind of leader gets rejected by his kin."

"Then trust me Konro, It's us against the world. If you have doubts then follow your heart it will tell you the best action to make you feel better-Heiwa answered. In this flawed world we only have each other, an action is only wrong by society and for us it doesn't exist."

Konro stood up looking at her.

"Fine" he said with some hope in his heart

She looked back at him with a smile causing him to look away, he started to walk away when he heard Heiwa calling him.*

"I almost forgot, Happy Birthday Konro!" she yelled.

[The Robbery]

The plan was executed to perfection, the cameras were turned off, the guards disarmed and the vault was easy to break, but when they opened it all they saw were some weird technology and a small amount of money.*

"we can probably sell it-said Heiwa as the kids took everything from the vault and ran away."

While it seemed like they were successful, they were ambushed by a squadron of guards and the future king himself. Konro was in disbelief as he was standing in front of one of the Tokyo kings.

"You kids actually believed you could get away with stealing from me? that hurts my reputation" spoke the king, wearing a fine black suit and solving a Rubik's cube.

Konro witnessed as the guards pointed guns at him but Heiwa stepped in front of him.

"It was my plan so don't blame him" she stated with a look of helplessness

The rest of the kids also stood up in front of the guns with Konro summoning his swords.

"Attention soldiers, whoever kills them will have a raise" declared the future king.

Without a second thought the guards fired at the kids slaughtering them all but Konro, they couldn't hurt a leader after all.

He ran to Heiwa who was slowly bleeding out, he looked at her.

"K-konro, you know I don't like violence" those were her dying words.

Konro stood up staring at the guards, he could visualize their greed, their envy to be next to their leader, depending of him, leeching on him to get as much power as they possibly could. He knew that those below leaders had little to no power, most of them had to do malicious deeds to get food on their plate but that wasn't his or Heiwa's or the others fault. He hated lowlifes for killing his friends, for killing his sister and even for existing in the same unjust world as them.

The future king walked towards him and whispered " They are bugs, kill them if you want" he continued walking while muttering "what a drag".

25 corpses were found the next morning, all unrecognizable, no charges were ever pressed and no suspect was ever discovered making this case one of the weirdest in the entirety of Japan, with some blaming it on king nothing.

[Shinjuku, Lord of the worlds area, Jonathans apartment, Current times]

The god finished telling his tale to Jonathan, now sitting in his place.

"So that's where you came from huh, still getting land by using gang activities and whores doesn't justify that, you had no honor in getting land, actually how the hell did the shogun allowed you that?" asked Jonathan angrily.

"Things are far more complex that you could imagine, political corruption stains every corner of japan and I'm but a small cog in the machine, and I lost so it doesn't matter anymore" said the god still adjusting to his new status as a soldier. How did you even bring me back anyway?

"Don't know and don't care, now we need to be focused on taking over Japan"

"Alright show me your shrine so that we can move on from there-said the god"

"uhh, what's a shrine?"
