Chapter 9 - Defiled Again

Roslin recalls that night, every word said, every pain felt, as she narrates than to Mrs. Agbor.

"We were instructed to carry out this job without any mess. Eliminate her and dispose of the body," one man said, his voice low and menacing.

"Hurry up, guys! We're running out of time; she'll soon regain consciousness," the driver urged, glancing nervously at the rearview mirror.

"Be quiet! Are we just learning this today?" another man snapped, irritation creeping into his tone.

"Don't bring that nonsense my way, or you might regret it," the driver shot back, his grip tightening on the wheel.

"All this bickering is pointless," a third man interjected. "We should just kill her, burn the body, and leave as Madam Mariam instructed."

"But wait a minute!" Man 1 interrupted again, eyeing me with a predatory gaze. "Look at her figure. She's quite appealing. Let's have a taste before we finish her off."

"Do we all plan to taste her? We're short on time, my friend," Man 3 replied, rolling his eyes.

"I agree, boss. Let's quickly have a taste. I bet she's sweet. Driver! Want a taste too?"

"Sure, let's make it snappy," the driver chuckled darkly.

Roslin breathes out deeply, after recalling the painful experience.

"Once again, I was raped, and they wasted no time," Roslin said, her voice trembling with anger and pain.

"Why would Mariam commit such a terrible act against you?" Mrs. Agbor asked, her eyes wide with disbelief.

Roslin took a deep breath, steeling herself. "Three months after I left Mariam's house, her parents discovered that she and her brother had resumed their inappropriate relationship. Her mother called me to testify, and I did. That night, Mariam warned me that I would regret my decision. I brushed off her words, believing she was merely angry and speaking from a place of pain." Roslin wipes off the tears on her face

"Months passed, and her brother ended up divorced and broken, he couldn't deal with the fact that he lost his wife, and childern, so he cut ties with Mariam, while Mariam sought therapy. Eventually, I heard nothing about her again until two years later, when she reached out. I never knew she blamed me for ruining her life and found a way to punish me."
