Chapter 212 - Chapter 212: The Legend Continues

At that moment, the elderly, gray-haired commander at the head of the table cleared his throat three times and spoke up:

"Ladies and gentlemen, the Pan-Human Alliance has mobilized a massive force, with seven T-class fleets and ten fleets from the Beastmen joining in to invade the Starsea Human Federation. Though we are outnumbered in fleet size, our technology holds the advantage."

He glanced over at Commander Chu of the Glorious Fleet, Commander Gu Jun of the Yunshan Fleet, and finally, at Feng Mo himself.

These three fleets each had the capability to fight two, or even three fleets at once, with the Storm Fleet being particularly notable for its high count of specialized starships. Feng Mo was now widely recognized as a master of specialized starship design.

From his observation, Feng Mo realized that this gray-haired officer was Tang Zhen, the supreme commander of the Tianqi Fleet of the Tianqi Empire. A legendary figure in his own right, Tang Zhen was neither associated with the Hua family nor the Yue Clan. He was a native-born hero, having risen from humble beginnings to lead the empire through many crises to glory.

Under Tang Zhen's command, the Tianqi Fleet's specialized starships were nearly on par with those of the Storm Fleet, though fewer in number and lacking a jump ship. Nonetheless, his fleet's strength was superior to the Glorious and Yunshan Fleets, making it fully capable of engaging three enemy fleets head-on. Feng Mo was keenly aware not to underestimate this legendary commander.

"My proposal," Tang Zhen continued, "is for the Tianqi, Glorious, and Yunshan Fleets to each lead three T5 fleets to divide the enemy forces into separate battle zones. The Storm Fleet will remain on standby, awaiting orders."

He laid out the strategy, adding, "Once the battlefield is divided, three specific coordinates will be sent to you. Using the jump ship, your fleet will teleport in for saturation strikes. The turning point rests with the Storm Fleet!"

As Tang Zhen explained his strategy, no one raised any objections. Feng Mo acknowledged it made sense, as he likely would have approached it the same way—dividing the battlefield and using the jump ship for surprise attacks.

This tactic offered several advantages. First, with only twelve T5 fleets stationed at the Azure Dragon Fortress against the Alliance's seventeen, a prolonged large-scale battle could bog them down, potentially resulting in mutual devastation. Dividing the battlefield allowed each fleet to isolate and handle smaller portions of the enemy force. The Storm Fleet could then launch precision strikes via teleportation, which could quickly shift the overall battlefield momentum.

However, this plan placed a heavy responsibility on Feng Mo. He had no qualms, though; his primary goal was to complete the mission outlined by the Starlight Panel.

Furthermore, the Storm Fleet's jump ship allowed it to conduct saturation attacks from unexpected angles, a critical advantage. Tang Zhen clearly recognized this, which is why he trusted Feng Mo to handle the task. Having studied Feng Mo's rise, Tang Zhen knew this steadfast leader wouldn't allow himself to falter.

The following morning, Feng Mo, assisted by Ai Er and Xing Shuwen, prepared himself for the day. He took a shuttle to the primary docking bay of the Azure Dragon Fortress, where he boarded the Storm God.

Once in the command center, Feng Mo didn't issue any immediate orders. Instead, he had Han Peipei guide the fleet to a nearby asteroid field just beyond the fortress.

At the Azure Dragon Fortress, the twelve Federation fleets had already deployed to the border between the central and eastern theaters, facing off against the Pan-Human Alliance's seventeen fleets. No words were exchanged; the Alliance had chosen to betray them, and any pleasantries would have been meaningless.

Under Tang Zhen's command, the twelve Federation fleets swiftly divided the Alliance forces into three segments. Tang Zhen himself led the Tianqi Fleet and three T5 fleets against six Alliance T5 fleets. Gu Jun led the Yunshan Fleet and three T5 fleets against five Alliance T5 fleets, while Commander Chu's Glorious Fleet and three T5 fleets faced off against another six.

At that moment, three sets of coordinates appeared on the command screen within Storm God's control room.

Seeing the jump coordinates, Feng Mo's spirit lifted as he issued his orders:

"Storm Fleet, prepare T5-class cluster star destroyer cannons, charge all main and auxiliary cannons, deploy all T5-class drones, and ready T5 Pegasus-class and T5 Mystic Bird-class missiles!"

In moments, the fleet glowed with brilliant energy as each starship readied its weapon systems.

"Lord Commander, the Storm Fleet's T5-class cluster star destroyer cannons, main and auxiliary cannons, and interstellar missiles are fully charged and standing by!" Han Peipei reported from behind him.

"Good! Open the jump gate, Jiliang!" Feng Mo commanded.

With his order, the Jiliang lit up, generating beams of blue light that converged into a massive star gate in space. Once the gate stabilized, the Jiliang cut its energy feed.

"Storm Fleet, advance!"

As the Storm Fleet prepared to enter the jump gate, the three battle zones were already locked in intense combat. The Yunshan Fleet, holding a two-to-one advantage, was faring well, while the Tianqi Fleet's one-to-three engagement was fierce, as the opposing forces included elite imperial fleets, complete with specialized ships.

Feng Mo chose to jump to the Tianqi Fleet's location first, receiving a real-time update from Tang Zhen:

"The enemy's initial assault has concluded. Both sides have sustained losses, making this the prime moment to strike!"

"Perfect timing!" Feng Mo replied coolly. The Storm Fleet had a keen ability to seize opportunities, and now, with the enemy's main and auxiliary cannons cooling down, it was their chance to strike.

In large-scale battles, maintaining formation was paramount. A commander must be acutely aware of each position's strategic impact, and the tactical AI continuously ran simulations to optimize their advantage.

In the upper left sector of one enemy T5 fleet, a mysterious fleet suddenly appeared. Upon arrival, over twenty thousand T5-class missiles blanketed the enemy fleet, followed by nearly a thousand laser beams that formed a massive web, encircling the enemy.

Having just exchanged volleys with the Radiant Fleet, the Alliance's fleet had its shields raised, with defensive cannons still active. Reacting swiftly, they began firing interception shots at the Storm Fleet.

However, with their main and auxiliary cannons cooling, they were left defenseless against the Storm Fleet's full firepower, reduced to merely holding on as the Storm Fleet unleashed a devastating barrage. This was precisely the effect Feng Mo intended.

Even with an impressive 70% interception rate, the Alliance fleet was unable to counter the sheer volume of the Storm Fleet's assault. Twenty thousand T5 missiles rained down on the 500-strong T5 and quasi-T5 combined fleet, ultimately overwhelming them. Even with seven thousand missiles remaining, each ship faced the destructive impact of twelve T5 missiles—a barrage that T5 shields might withstand, but quasi-T5 ships had no chance, leaving their fate sealed.
