Chapter 88 - Chapter 88: The Deal

"Five ships? Impossible, my friend. You must know that these two materials are invaluable and essential for building T5 starships. At most, I can offer half a T3 transport ship's worth," Feng Mo exclaimed, leaping to his feet. His face contorted with pain, but his lustful greed managed to suppress his reluctance—a detail that did not escape Lawrence's notice. Lawrence continued to entice him.

"This Succubi clan consists of over eighty thousand individuals, with eighty percent being female. The value is immense and worth at least three full T3 transport ships loaded with materials. And, my friend, are you interested in any other races?" Lawrence coaxed.

Feng Mo's interest piqued. If Lawrence was bringing this up, it meant he had even more valuable "goods" to offer, clearly trying to leverage these treasures to secure the trade.

"Oh? Which races are you referring to?" Feng Mo asked, feigning curiosity.

"The Interstellar Elves and the Tatta Clan. They, along with the Succubi, are considered the three most beautiful races in the universe," Lawrence replied, continuing to lure him.

Feng Mo kept up his act. Hearing Lawrence's offer, he put on an even more pained expression, pacing back and forth in front of the video, pretending to be lost in thought. Three minutes later, he abruptly stopped and shouted at the screen:

"Lawrence, two T3 transport ships loaded with both materials! In exchange for all the Succubi, Elves, and the Tatta Clan. This is my final offer. Any more, and I'm out!" Feng Mo's eyes were bloodshot, looking every bit the desperate gambler at a high-stakes table. This was the climax of his performance.

Lawrence could tell this was the final offer and, after a moment of feigned reluctance, nodded. "All right, since you are my most esteemed friend, when shall we trade?"

Feng Mo immediately replied, "How about seven days from now? In interstellar space between the Demon Star System and Star System U5. Goods for materials, simultaneously."

"Agreed. In seven days, Lawrence will await the Storm Lord's arrival in interstellar space."

Feng Mo chose a seven-day window to prepare for a grand scheme.

"Commander, are we really going to trade dark matter and dark energy crystals for slaves? Isn't that a bit…" Silia hesitated, her simple mind unable to finish the thought.

Feng Mo interrupted, "Silia, you must learn to look beyond the surface. Think about others' intentions and develop critical thinking."

Silia was left puzzled by Feng Mo's cryptic words, but Hua Qin, who understood, gently patted her shoulder and explained, "What the Commander means is that he wants the slaves, the Succubi, but doesn't actually want to pay. Everything he promised is just a ruse to deceive our opponent. Understand?"

Silia's eyes lit up in realization, and she nodded. Meanwhile, in the Demon Star System, in the northern wilderness, Lawrence had constructed numerous dungeons. The three largest dungeons held the universe's most coveted races: the Succubi, the Elves, and the Tatta Clan.

The Succubi were renowned for their alluring bodies and enchanting features, making them highly sought after. The Elves came second with their holy, refined beauty and graceful forms. The Tatta Clan, on the other hand, was a unique case. Tatta women were beautiful, but not as voluptuous as the Succubi or as angelic as the Elves.

What made the Tatta Clan famous was their special SZQG, a sensation only experienced to be fully appreciated. Described as like tiny suction cups wrapping around and pulling at the senses, those who had experienced it found it unforgettable.

Today, the northern dungeons were abuzz with activity. Soldiers brought in exquisite food and clean water, distributing them among the prisoners. Horlaw, the minotaur overseer, strolled through the dungeons, shouting orders, "For the next seven days, unlimited gourmet meals! Eat up and put on some weight! Everyone must wash and clean up—I'll be inspecting each of you personally afterward."

Horlaw let out a perverse chuckle, though he could only feast with his eyes. These dungeons held over 170,000 individuals from the three races, all of whom had already been sold off by their esteemed Demon Lord.

The realization dawned on the prisoners. Someone among them was about to be sold. Most had grown numb, but a few even showed hints of anticipation. After nearly a year of imprisonment, with barely enough food and clothing and regular beatings or withheld rations for the slightest misstep, the prospect of being selected brought mixed emotions.

Some had previously been chosen to entertain guests, and those picked were said to have been taken away by a distinguished guest. As a reward, the entire dungeon received a day's worth of unlimited food. But this time, it was seven days. How many would be chosen?

Ai Er was eagerly counting down the days, while Feng Mo was busy on a video call with Chu Yunjian. Feng Mo had a plan and needed Chu Yunjian's support. Given his status as the Chu family's son-in-law, he had connections he intended to use.

After hearing Feng Mo's plan, Chu Yunjian pondered, "So, you're suggesting two options: swap out the dark matter and dark energy crystals with decoys, or send a fleet to ambush and seize everything?"

Feng Mo nodded. He had no intention of paying for the slaves, so he needed a plan that involved deception or outright theft. The switch and ambush were the most practical and secure strategies.

"But have you considered the consequences? If you're discovered, the Demon Star System won't let you off. War will be inevitable. Even if the Demon Lord restrains himself, your fleet will have trouble leaving the Storm Star System," Chu Yunjian warned.

Feng Mo had thought about this. If successful, the Demon Lord would likely suffer in silence, unwilling to lead his fleet into a war with the Storm Star System, as it was officially recognized as territory of the Interstellar Human Federation. Any foreign fleet invasion would be seen as a declaration of war on the Federation.

This was the advantage of having a powerful backer. As the saying goes, weak nations have no diplomacy. Even if the Demon Lord suffered losses, he would have no grounds to complain. After all, how could he protest in a place where everything belonged to Feng Mo?

Still, there were significant risks. Feng Mo would be constantly watched and potentially face assassination attempts. Until he reached a certain level of power, he wouldn't be able to leave Federation territory.

Nevertheless, the potential reward was too tempting. Ten million slaves, including Succubi, Elves, and Tatta women, were worth

it. After all, nothing tasted sweeter than a free lunch.
