Chapter 85 - Chapter 85: The Destruction of the Bai Family

"El, have the captains clean up the battlefield—quickly. Take everything; don't miss a single piece of loot. Feng Tianyi, lead the mecha squad to dismantle the planetary defense system of the Bai Family's homeworld. We'll install it on the Elven Homeworld later. Also, organize a planet-wide hunt for all direct and collateral Bai Family members," Feng Mo commanded, giving a series of precise orders.

"Huaqin, take the soldiers to the Bai Family treasury. Deploy drones from the T3 Sea Lions to escort you, and if anyone resists, eliminate them immediately," he added.

After issuing his orders, Feng Mo descended with a small unit to the Bai Family's starport. Admiring the newly rebuilt facility, he couldn't help but feel an intense longing, captivated by the grandeur of the entire third-level life planet.

The battle had lasted less than two hours, but cleaning up afterward took over six. Feng Mo stood alone at the starport, gazing at the Bai Family's homeworld. Hundreds of drones, over a hundred interstellar mechs, and dozens of star-class frigates patrolled the skies. Anyone resisting, inciting unrest, or spreading dangerous rhetoric was summarily executed.

The Bai Family's homeworld housed nearly 30 billion people. Seeing such a densely populated world made Feng Mo envious. The Storm Star System, his domain, only held 1.3 billion—less than a twentieth of this planet's population.

The disparity was stark. Once the Bai Family issue was resolved and the Spark System mission completed, Feng Mo was ready to take on the Demon Star System, using it to strengthen his territory.

Lost in thought, Feng Mo was snapped back to reality when Huaqin arrived in a flying vehicle and reported, "Commander, the battlefield has been cleared. We achieved a decisive victory, destroying 820 enemy ships: seventy T4 class, 270 T3 class, and the rest T2 class.

"We captured 174 enemy ships, including three T4 class vessels: two T4 Black Rhino-class frigates and one T4 White Shark-class destroyer. We also captured twenty-seven T3 ships, with the rest being T2 class.

"Additionally, there are twenty T3 Mule-class transport ships docked at the Bai Family starport. I've taken the liberty to requisition them temporarily; they'll be perfect for transporting our spoils back to the Storm Star System."

Feng Mo gave Huaqin a look of approval. "Well done. Those transport ships are now part of our spoils and will return with us to the Storm Star System. I doubt Uncle Gu will mind us taking a bit extra," he said, feeling satisfied.

Meanwhile, Gu Jun, on the Yunshan's bridge, was speaking to an elderly noble with a white divine eagle embroidered on his chest. Gu Jun treated this old man with the utmost respect, a stark contrast to his disdain for the Snowhawk Duke. This elder was not only a former superior in the Federal Military but also the leader of the Snowhawk nobility—a Grand Duke.

The two were watching a holographic display showing Huaqin commandeering the Mule-class transports. Embarrassed, Gu Jun coughed lightly, unable to ignore the Grand Duke's amused gaze. "Lord Ma, as you can see, Xiao Mo collected quite a haul, so he needed transport ships. Let's just say he's borrowing them for now, and I promise he'll return them," Gu Jun said, trying to smooth things over.

The Grand Duke laughed, "Gu Jun, you were always a notorious miser, and it seems your protégé has followed in your footsteps. Returning them, you say? Who would believe that? Never mind, consider those transport ships a gift from the Snowhawk Empire to the young one."

Gu Jun's face turned serious, though he cursed inwardly at the wily old fox. "Oh, come on, Lord Ma, that's not fair. If you insist on this, Xiao Mo might as well strip the entire Bai Family homeworld bare. I'm sure he'd find that compensation satisfactory," he countered, shifting from playful to pointed.

The Bai Family's homeworld was conquered by Feng Mo, and Gu Jun had only agreed to relinquish it to the Snowhawk Empire on the condition of fair compensation. If that was at risk over a few transport ships, Feng Mo might as well take everything. After all, his Storm Star System desperately needed more people.

"Haha, you're still the same old Gu Jun, always eyeing other people's pockets. Fine, consider those transport ships a welcoming gift," the Grand Duke relented, though it pained him to lose the valuable ships.

"Thank you, Lord Ma. Xiao Mo knows his limits and will only take what's fair," Gu Jun assured, though the Grand Duke secretly cursed both him and Feng Mo.

Meanwhile, Feng Mo sat on a luxurious chair, gazing down at the thousands of kneeling Bai Family members. Feng Tianyi stepped forward and bowed. "Commander, apart from those who chose suicide, all Bai Family members are here: 177,800 people in total," he reported.

Feng Mo sighed. "Quite the large family. Kill them all," he ordered, standing up and walking back to the Hurricane. Watching the mass execution brought a fleeting melancholy, but he quickly composed himself.

As Feng Tianyi issued the command, gunfire erupted, mowing down the Bai Family like wheat. When the final shot echoed, the Spark System notified Feng Mo that his mission was complete.

[Mission: Revenge Served Day and Night. Annihilate the Bai Family of the Snowhawk Empire. (Completed) Reward: 2000 points, T4 Shieldbreaker-class Frigate Blueprint.]

Feng Mo claimed his reward.

[Reward Claimed: 2000 points, T4 Shieldbreaker-class Frigate Blueprint.]

T4 Shieldbreaker-class Frigate:

Armor Strength: 600 units

Ship Dimensions: 600m x 130m x 118m

Speed: 300 knots

Warp Engine: Level 4

Energy Shield: Level 4, 100%

Weapons: 120 rapid-fire laser cannons, pulse torpedoes

Examining the frigate's specifications, Feng Mo realized it was an armored ship, with shields nearly matching those on the Hurricane. Frigates could be categorized into interceptors, armored, and assault types, and this one was pure armor: designed to withstand the heaviest hits, though lacking in other areas.
