Luna Valerie immediately fell on her knees, screaming, "your majesty please!!! Have mercy!!!"
But Torak was unfazed by her pleas. Instead he lets out a sigh. "You're only making things worse for your mate, female." Valerie, who was trembling, stiffened upon hearing his words.
Torak gazed at Alpha Jederek again, who was furiously shaking in fear knowing he was going to die.
Torak kept staring at him silently with an unreadable face. "Tsk..." He suddenly raised his hand and swiftly swung the blade across his neck, immediately slicing it into two. The Alpha's head disconnected and fell on the floor with oozing out.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!" Luna Valerie screamed as tears pooled out of her eyes, watching blood flood out of her husband's neck. She looked at his head laying on the floor separately and nearly fainted.
Torak watched his blood splatter on the floor, touching the ends of his clothes and he snarled, before facing the dead man's annoying wife who was screaming her lungs out.
"Shut your mouth," he warned.
Luna Valerie immediately sealed her lips and muffled up her cries. After several minutes of wailing and crying her heart out, she stopped, and raised her head to look the king in the eyes with a glare. Torak paused, simply looking stunned at her audacity. He could see it clearly in her eyes, how to her; he was nothing but an evil monster, and he smirked.
He had wanted to let them go, but now that she had dared to make eye contact with him, why not give them all a grand show?
Smiling, he turned to Damien and ordered, "kill them all."
"Your majesty please!!!!!!!!" Tessa and Jesse both screamed out in dread as their bodies shook and tears wet their cheeks. But Luna Valerie was quiet, she didn't plead anymore because she didn't see the point anymore, she was going to meet her husband in the afterlife.
Lily, who had been frozen all along, her feet rooted to the spot as if turned into stone, after watching Alpha Jederek ruthlessly get slaughtered by the king. Her body hadn't calmed down from the horror she had just witnessed, when she heard his next order. Wide-eyed, she looked up at him with great fear. Her eyes were saucers, frozen on his face as if mesmerized by the devil. Goosebumps crawling all over her skin.
But he had already turned and began walking towards the door, taking hold of her hand and pulling her along with him in a slightly harsh manner. Lily, being forced to move, looked back to see the family fall on their knees, getting beheaded. Blood splattering and staining the clean floor.
Her eyes made contact with Valerie before she got beheaded, and she glared at her as if silently blaming her that this was all her fault, and she was the cause of their death. Lily quickly turned her eyes away from the horrifying scene, silently feeling guilt crawl its way into her mind. Their heads fell on the floor, blood trailing down as she walked out of the house with Torak.
Strangeā¦, it almost looked like she was walking down the aisle, with blood trailing along instead of petals.
Her heart galloped in chest like a wild animal trying to escape.
He kept taking her with him as she glanced at his broad back, feeling her hand intertwined in his, which had Lily glance at them a couple of times with fear bubbling in her chest. Her hand trembled like leaves in his hold uncontrollably. Her mind was a jumble of worries, each one tangling itself around her ankles like a snare.
What she had just witnessed only made her more terrified of him and confirm the rumors about him. She felt so uncomfortable with her hand in his, but she dared not make a move or a complaint. They got to the carriage, and he brought her inside.
Immediately, the royal carriages rode out of the gates. They left the pack house empty, blood flowing and becoming the king's parting gift.
In the carriage. Lily, who felt her mind lost and empty, stared at the floor as she slowly tried analyzing all that had happened.
She sat at the furthest end of the seat, trying her best to be away from him. Not even daring to look up as she could feel his relaxed gaze fixed on her, making a chill run down her spine, leaving a trail of icy sweat in its wake.
She curled in on herself, her shoulders hunched and her head bowed in a gesture of submission
Torak stared at the girl with an indifferent face, he could notice how frightened she was. Strangely, he found it rather interesting than satisfying to watch. His lips slightly curved up.
The carriage picked up speed, and the wind began to whip through the open window, gently sending Lily's hair streaming behind her.
Very soon, she began to feel a creeping sense of drowsiness, despite her fear and discomfort, wary of the devil in the carriage with her. The motion of the carriage and the howling wind seemed to be lulling her into a state of torpor. She fought against it, trying to stay awake and alert, but her eyelids grew heavier and heavier.
She could feel his eyes on her, watching her like a patient predator with an unnerving intensity.
Her fear of him was a palpable thing, a cold, hard knot in the pit of her stomach.
But despite it, her exhaustion eventually won out. Her head nodded forward, and she felt herself slipping into a dark, dreamless sleep.
The last thing she was aware of was his hand on top her head, holding her in place as the carriage continued to rumble down the road.
Just before the girl was about to fall forward, Torak gently caught the top of her head with his fingers.
The girl had fallen asleep, and it seemed she was a deep sleeper too, to not have woken up by the hold on her head. His brows lifted in amusement as he clicked his tongue.
She was so feeble. He continued to stare at her, wondering what to do with her and her hilarious state. Until a smile suddenly pulled up his lips.
He slowly tilted her head and brought her to lay on his lap, so he could stare at her face better.
This was something he had never imagined himself doing, and it only amused him the more. But he shoved those thoughts behind him as his mind was all about the girl on his lap. His fingers brushed away the strands on her face, as he wished to see her face vividly clear.
Seeing her sleep so soundly, he had to smirk. She must be very tired, and it was obvious she needed sleep. He smirked more as he wondered what she would have done if she woke up to find herself lying in his arms, the man whom she feared so much.
Not so much of a careful little lamb, are you?... He smirked.
His fingers caressed the sides of her face softly. He intended not to wake her up, even though he would have derived pure satisfaction from the horrid reaction that would appear on her face if she did.
His long finger traced the outline of her face, from her soft cheek to her pointed nose, to her pink lips that were chapped.
He couldn't help but admit, she was pretty, like a cute little lamb. She looked so different from all of his other mistresses.
He wanted to play with her more, but he was afraid she would wake up. He wished not to disturb her sweet dream.
Speaking of dream, he couldn't help but wonder what type of dream she was having. Was it the one filled with gardens, flowers and unicorns?
Or was it the one filled with blood, darkness....and him?
He chuckled as he continued to watch her face.
When the carriage finally arrived at the palace, Damien got down from his horse. He opened the door of the carriage, speaking, "your majesty, we have arrived-"
He suddenly paused, his eyes growing wide to see the king still on his seat, but with the girl sleeping comfortably in his arms. He looked up at the king who was busy smirking at him, while he brought a finger to his lips and whispered, "shhhh." The devious smile on his lips broadening just as he did.
Damien was utterly speechless for a second, until he bowed his head and remained silent just as his king wanted. The king then got down from the carriage and walked into the palace, with the girl still in his arms.
Damien sighed, not knowing what to make of him.
