Chapter 1 - Chapter 0, Prologue

On December 21st, 793, the God of Creation gazed down from his window, observing the citizens of his kingdom walking about with umbrellas due to the heavy rain. While the citizens know it was just a passing storm and the weather would soon return back to the sunny days. They didn't know that the Gods were quietly beginning to take action for what was to come.

As the clock hand struck nine, a door creaked open softly, and a god stepped into the other god's office. The first god, who was next to his window and looking down observing the people, felt a familiar presence and a smirk curled on his lips. He slowly turned to confront his brother, who now stood in the doorway. "You've kept me waiting, Brother," he remarked, his tone filled with mockery and eyes glinting with mischief.

The deity fixed a piercing gaze on him. "I was right on time, and you're well aware of that," he snapped sharply to the first god. The first god responded with a chuckle, then turned away from the window and started to approach the one who had just entered his office.

"So tell me, my dear brother, why have you graced my office with your presence today?" The First God said, leaning closer to his brother. His smirk was sly, while his brother merely lowered his gaze.

"You told me to come here at nine," his brother said, his voice steady as he gently shoved him aside, a hint of irritation flickering in his eyes. The God stood there, momentarily stunned by his brother's blunt response. But he quickly masked it with a chuckle.

"Hah, you haven't changed one bit," the God chuckled, eyes filled with mischief. "But I take it you got my message?" He leaned back, with a playful expression. His brother narrowed his eyes, studying him intently, analyzing his expression, body language, and actions.

A frustrated grunt escaped his brother's lips as he completed his analysis, his brow furrowed in irritation. His brother met the other god's eyes in defiance. "Do you truly believe this will succeed?" he questioned, his voice laced with doubt. "Centuries have passed, and the mortal realm has grown ever so weak."

"Psh—It'll be fine, especially since he will guide them, won't you, Apean Polus?" the god remarked, gesturing towards a shadowy corner of his office. From behind the dark veil, a mortal boy emerged, stepping into the dim light. He bowed down before the God of Destruction, his face unreadable

The brother gave a hesitant look at the god. The god widened his grin and disappeared, only to reappear behind his brother, holding both his shoulders, while leaning close to his ears. And in a gentle voice, he said,

"Don't worry. Both of them will be joining the party, and you know very well that we can't interfere because of plausibility," the god said. His brother lowered his gaze and stared at the mortal who had stepped out of the shadows earlier.

"Listen well mortal, A prophecy has been sent to us by the Greater God, Arborea, and a great danger will soon befall our home, Elysium" The god of destruction slowly walked away from the God of creation and closer to the mortal.

"Brother, I already told him about the prophecy. Why are you repeating it to him?" The god was trying to get his brother's attention, but suddenly a powerful essence of aura was released from his brother's body, causing the office to tremble and interrupt what he was trying to say.

"So you know that if you fail to guide them, the world will also crumble?" the God of Destruction said. The other god struggled to keep his paperwork from moving as his desk trembled from the immense pressure of spiritual aura.

"Even if we fail to fend off the Acheronians, we would still have a good chance of winning if we can convince most of the demi-gods, isn't that right. Sentinel of Stygian Hold, Divites Nyx, the god of destruction?" The mortal spoke under the weight of the aura that the god was emanating. The mortal's response caused the god to hum thoughtfully as he began to walk towards the exit.

"Brother, wait! You forgot something," the other god said. His brother stopped in his tracks and looked back at him. The other god was pointing at his desk, which was covered with disorganized paperwork, scattered due to the intense aura that shook the room.

"You're going to fix this whether you like it or not, brother. After all, you were the one who caused it in the first place." The other god said in a displeasing tone, his brother simply glanced at him before returning his gaze to the piles of disorganized papers that were a result of his actions.

"That's too troublesome… do it yourself" his brother responded, Before leaving the office of the other god,  leaving the other god baffled and calling him back to clean up the unorganized paperwork.

The other god chased after his brother, who had just left his office. The mortal was left alone in the god's office, breathing heavily. The intense aura that once surrounded him was so powerful that it made his left leg shake. "Is this the power of a god…?" he muttered.

He stared at the calendar that fell down the other god's desk and watched it intently before whispering under his breath, gripping his hand tightly: 'A grand arena, seven chosen heroes, and my guidance to stop the upcoming doom that will soon befall the 6 reams…'

He smirked and stared at his hand which was in a tight grip

"How exhilarating-" The mortal was cut off by the other god who barged in

"Apy… clean my office why don't you?" The other god said

"Aren't you Custodian of Elysium, Astrea Lux, the god of creation? Can't you tell someone else to do it?" The mortal asked, The other god stared at him intently.

"...Fine," The mortal said
