Synopsis
A new main character has been settled into the novel written by its author. The author is the new main character. The author was originally an average 14-year-old girl who was considered “ugly” in her human life. That hasn't bothered though, because she was mostly focused on her love for novels. She loved writing numerous stories and novels; them being involved with fantasy and action. She even wrote OCS, crossovers, smuts, horror, you name it! Until she wrote her unpopular novel named “One Sacrifice in One Rose.” The only one who read her story was ‘User3636463.’ User3636463 would always like and comment on every one of her paragraphs. This one comment caught the author’s attention. A link that would send her into the novel. The link gave her the role of being the main character— Kaori Takeda.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 0

"Oh, wow..." I clenched my paper harder. "Another F. Just my lucky day." And of course, it had to be math. New year, and a not-so-new me. I'm now just turning 14, and my year in 8th grade isn't going well at all.

I have multiple and completely understandable realistic reasons… just don't want to share them because it's personal information. It's not easy becoming a young teenage girl. You get painful periods, you have everything AND everyone bugging you to death, and no one takes you seriously anymore and thinks that you're just an immature brat without friends. In this world, you are either pretty or ugly.

Which I am considered "ugly."

Though, I don't think I AM ugly. I'm pretty average if I say so myself.

Wait, we're off-topic—

Oh, right. The F. Another F in this semester was such a pain. I groaned loudly in frustration. "You know damn well I tried very hard on this!" I say to myself, crumbling up the paper and throwing it on the street. I covered my face with my hands thinking about how much of a dumbass I am.

"You know what," I inhaled the refreshing air, exhaling from my mouth. "It's just one grade… you'll have better grades in the future." Yeah, hopefully. I can't jinx it or else it won't happen at all dummy!

My thoughts were interrupted by a ding that came from my phone. I immediately pulled it out, turning it on to see a new notification from "Wattpad."

My story!

I smiled widely. I recently just uploaded the 1230th chapter of my novel. It was about a girl around my age, who was the only one who had a special ability called "ROSES." Basic ability name, but hey, it's my story! But anyway back to the notification.

I clicked on the notification just to see one star being voted. It was that same user again. User3636463. This person was the only one who voted for my novels. Don't get me wrong, this person was very nice to talk to but…

I just wish that someone else could vote for my story. I worked on it for so many restless nights. It was the reason why I couldn't study. I clicked on my story, noticing that the person almost gave a reply to every paragraph.

"Is my story really that good?" I muttered. I read the replies. The majority of them were telling me how good my story was. Until I pressed on the very last reply to the last paragraph.

[User3636463: "Press this link to explore a new adventure!"]

What? A link? I squinted my eyes a bit more to read what the hell the person just said. They did put a link... I don't wanna be too naive and press on it without a second thought. But, it would be wrong for me not to press it, knowing fully well that this person stuck around since 2020. The link was probably safe anyway.

"Eh, I've dealt way worse." I shrugged it off. "I'm pretty sure my phone getting hacked will not be that much of a problem!" I pressed on the link. I was met with a Q&A. Oh, this was a get-to-know-you thing.

I read the first question. It sounded very odd.

[ "Yes or no?"]

Yes or no what? What was it asking?

I stare at the question for a very long time. This wasn't a Q&A thing. It can't be if there wasn't a question to ask. What would happen if I pressed yes? God, I just hate these types of questions. It always makes me have second thoughts!

"You know what—"

I clicked on "Yes" fast. Nothing happened at all. "..Seriously?—"

[Secleting your character role:

"THE MAIN CHARACTER."]

"What?" I gasped when my phone flew out of my hand, its screen shining as white swirls swept out of my phone. It looked like a portal! A very bright one too! What the hell was happening?! I noticed that my clothes were suddenly being pulled into the white portal. "Hey, no!" I yelled, panicking at the fact I was getting pulled into my phone like some type of black hole!

I can't move my feet…

Why is this happening?!!

[you have been teleported.]
