"Aveline Gloria"

'Aveline Gloria'

...

'Ugh, so it's really her' my facial muscles couldn't help but twitch slightly.

I mean, who wouldn't feel uncomfortable knowing that their homeroom teacher would be a difficult person to please.

"As for my other information, some of you probably already know so I'll just keep it short" her voice echoed in the silent classroom. The eyes of the entire class were all on her.

"My name is Aveline, I'm an A+ rank awakened person. My specialty is assassination and poison. I'll be your homeroom teacher for three years. You guys better study properly in my class, I won't be merciful and forgive anyone who slacks off in their studies" she said, showing a huge pressure.

"Ughh..." I groaned, feeling as though the weight of the world was pressing down on my chest, making it hard to draw a breath.

I trembled as I looked at Aveline, our eyes met. A faint smile flashed across her face, it was hard to see but as a loyal reader of "The Mage of Destiny", I knew for sure that she had a grudge against me.

Looked around and compared to the others, who were only mildly annoyed or frowning, I was feeling so much pressure that I felt like I couldn't breathe. Karen, on the other hand, looked completely unbothered.

'This bitch...'. I couldn't help but curse under my breath.

Aveline must be feeling very happy seeing me in pain like this, that's for sure.

*Slap*

Not long after, a clap rang out, Aveline continued to speak.

"This is just a small penalty for your loud behavior. If you continue down this path, there will be more serious consequences."

'You call the pressure you put on me small?' I asked in dissatisfaction.

I knew she didn't like my and Briar's actions in front of the classroom earlier, but putting that kind of pressure on me was a bit too much. It felt like someone weighing a hundred kilos was sitting on me. With my physique that wasn't much better than a normal person's, that was enough to make me almost log out of the world!

Oh, and it wasn't just me, she definitely had a grudge against Briar too, Aveline was also staring at him. But he was stronger than me so it was easier for him to breathe.

I revealed a bitter expression, helplessly looking at Aveline while she was looking at Briar. Who would have thought that she would continue to roll her eyes at me again. It seemed that the sight of Briar easily enduring the pressure made her enjoy it a bit and let him off.

"Do you have any dissatisfaction to say?"

My lips twitched, reluctantly forcing a fake smile and answering her.

"No, I'm so sorry. I just couldn't handle the pressure you put on me. It's my fault for being weak."

"I'm glad you understand. Keep working hard and become even more resilient. I'm counting on you."

"...thank you for your encouragement." I smiled reluctantly and replied to her.

"No need to thank me. It's my duty as your teacher." She gently pushed her glasses up and said.

Then she began to explain some of the school and class rules to us.

...

Aveline Gloria is a very good teacher, passionate about her job, and strict. She values students who are determined and hardworking. No matter how talented her students are, if they are not diligent, she will put them on her blacklist, constantly criticize them, or worse, she will completely ignore them. Her only flaw is that she can be a bit petty and sarcastic.

In the original novel, Aveline helped Karen's group many times. She was a pretty important supporting character in the early stages of the novel.

As an A+ rank Awakener, she was almost invincible in the early arcs of the novel. Oh, I don't remember if I mentioned it, but Awakeners are people who can activate their Status Board.

People without Status Boards are powerless, normal people in this abnormal world. On the contrary, people can activate their Status Boards are the clearest proof that they are Awakeners.

Awakeners are not rare, rather, they are very common. About 80% of humanity is Awakener, and this ratio will only increase, but the number of people with high ranks is the minority. Most Awakeners will have very low limits, around F or E. Those people are not much different from powerless people, they are just a little stronger, not significant.

Back to Aveline. As a teacher, she did very well in the original. The students who graduated under her training had a very high rate of success in the future. She is a dream teacher...if only her temperament was a little better.

"I've finished announcing the rules. Now I'll take attendance. Whoever is present, please speak."

As she spoke, her hand touched the BracePhone. A projection of a list appeared in front of the class.

Her voice called out each person's name.

"Number 1. Rank 1. Karen Alethea"

-"Yes"

Aveline's eyes stopped on Karen for a moment before returning to the list, continuing to read the names.

"Number 2. Rank 2. Briar Sharron"

-"Yes"

'So it's him' Aveline thought to herself when Briar spoke.

...

"Number 9. Rank 125. Ryder Spike"

-"Yes"

A low voice rang out.

'Oh, it's him' I turned my eyes towards the source of the voice. A large figure caught my eye.

Ryder Spike is a robust young man with a short brown haircut and matching brown eyes. He boasts a tall stature, incredibly toned muscles, and a sun-kissed complexion. His facial features are angular and somewhat intimidating. In general, he has the appearance of a formidable brown bear.

Although he wasn't in the main character group, don't underestimate him. He was the best meat shield.

From the early stages of the academy, we saw his excellence when he was ranked 125/1000 in the entire grade during the entrance exam. But that ranking wasn't entirely accurate because he hadn't developed himself in the right direction until now. Even though he went in the wrong direction, he still ranked 125, which shows how talented he is.

During his studies at Hollis, he was given precise guidance and gradually became the best meat shield, a great tanker with the potential to become a Ranker.

...

"Number 25. Rank 672. Danz Grayson"

-"Yes"

Our eyes met once again. This time, Aveline only stopped on me for a moment before continuing her roll call.

"Phew..." I let out a soft breath.

'Looks like she's letting me off for now'

...

"Number 37. Rank 870. Diana Avalon"

'Huh?'

-"...Yes"

A timid female voice rang out.

'It's her!'

I immediately turned towards the source of the voice.

A small figure was reflected in my eyes.

In front of me was a petite girl with her head down. She has a very distinctive pastel green hair, neatly braided into two long braids in front of her chest. Her bangs are cut straight across, almost covering her eyes. She wears a pair of round glasses that cover her eyes. But I know that behind those glasses is a pair of very special pink pupils that no one else has. Because of those different eyes, she has to wear glasses even though she doesn't have any eye disease.

Diana Avalon. Currently known by the nickname "the most pathetic beast tamer".

As the nickname mentioned, she is indeed a beast tamer. And her highest limit is also very high. But the strange thing here is that she cannot tame any beasts.

It seems that because of her high development limit, she was able to enter Hollis, even though she currently cannot tame or contract with any beasts.

With the name of a beast tamer but cannot contract with any beasts, she has become a laughing stock for everyone. But that is only for now.

Diana's true talent is much higher, those low-level beasts can't possibly become her contracted beasts.

Everyone has a different talent, but with the same talent, each person has their own way of developing it depending on their individual strengths.

Take the case of Beast Tamers. Each person will tend to contract with a different species. Some have talent in contracting with feline creatures, others have high affinity for water creatures. Each individual will have different compatibility with different creatures.

Diana is the same, but she is much more special. Her talent blooms late but her development limit is extremely high. The species most compatible with her is a dragon, a true dragon, not some miscellaneous species with a little bit of Dragon bloodline.

Dragons are one of the most mysterious species, they only appear in myths so no one thinks that Diana will be compatible with them.

In the future, Diana will meet her destiny—a dragon. Their bond will be forged, launching her into stardom. Ironically, she will become known as the infamous "Disaster Dragon Tamer."

It's just a pity that she became a villain in the original novel and was defeated by Karen's group, while she had not yet fully developed.

I used to feel sorry for her. Her family background is similar to mine, her parents were in debt just because they sent their daughter to study in Hollis. In the near future, they will be killed because of that debt. From there, the seeds of hatred for humanity were planted in Diana's heart.

I didn't remember that she was in the same class as the main characters. It was a bit surprising.

Ay, although it's a pity, I have decided not to interfere with the plot. Please forgive me, Diana.

"Haiz..." I let out a sigh and turned my head forward.

...

"Number 40. Rank 950. Joe Jett"

-"Yes"

"Okay, roll call done. I'm glad you all showed up for the first day. I hope you'll continue to do well like today."

Aveline said with a smile. A creepy smile.

"Oh, right, I've sent you the dorm room information via BracePhone. You guys should go up there and check it out yourself and move into the dorm quickly."

"That's all for the first day, see you tomorrow morning. Class is over!"

After saying that, she walked out of the classroom, leaving a heavy atmosphere behind.

After a while, a series of sighs rang out.

"Finally it's over" a student slumped back in his chair tiredly.

"I thought I was going to suffocate, it felt like I'd been sitting here all day" another complained.

"Yeah, she's scary" another one student agreed, raising his hand.

...

"But don't you think she's very pretty?" A male student said in a serious tone.

"Yeah, I admit it" a few chorused.

'These guys are hopeless'. I sighed in frustration as I heard the conversation of the group of students near me.

'I should go too'

Thinking that, I stood up, picked up my bag and left the classroom.

"Let's go home first and then figure things out later" I muttered.
