[Early morning. September 1, 305th year of Elmanar]
I woke up feeling quite tired. I was too excited last night so I didn't sleep well.
'I'm going to see Karen with my own eyes soon, so excited!' I screamed in my heart, unable to wait and I quickly changed into a new uniform.
Standing in front of the mirror, I buttoned up my shirt, my mind drifting to a faraway place.
"Hmmm, looking good not gonna lie" I brushed my bangs back, my hair gently falling on both sides of my face, no longer covering my mysterious purple eyes.
"These eyes are more prominent than I thought... I probably won't cut bangs" I thought as I looked at the mirror. Then I shook my head slightly so that my bangs covered my eyes again.
Looking at my body again, I couldn't help but twitch the corners of my lips.
"Really skinny... if he just had a little more muscle, this body would be considered handsome, right?" I thought about it honestly.
If this world had a charm rating, I could confidently and definitely say that this body would be at least D-rank in charm! It doesn't look that bad.
"Sigh..."
But unfortunately, this world doesn't have a charm rating, so I had to put that aside and sigh in regret.
'Status Board'
I thought to myself and an interface appeared in front of me. It looked similar to the hologram that my bracelet could project. It's a long story, but that bracelet was called the BracePhone.
To be more precise, the BracePhone was a more artificial, mechanical version of the "Status Board".
The Status Board is a function that appears when humans start absorbing mana in the air. It tells people their rank and some stats, including the skills they possess.
It makes people more aware of their own power level. And one person will not be able to see the other person's status board. Unless using some special equipment or skill, it can be displayed.
How do I know how to use the status board? Of course, it's mentioned in the original novel.

Let me explain the information above.
First is about name, age, race. There's nothing strange about it so I'll skip it.
As for Rank. It's divided from F to SSS. Each rank is divided into 3 smaller ranks. For example, for F rank, we have F-, F, and F+. Other parameters are also divided in this way.
Based on the information displayed on the status board, my current rank is F-...the lowest rank among the current ranks. As for the rank after the "/" is the highest limit my body can reach. And this body has a C-rank limit.
When I first saw my status, it took me a while to believe it. I mean, a student of Hollis Academy, the top academy in the continent, has a maximum limit of C?
After rummaging through all the personal information containers that Danz had on him, I finally understood why I was able to enter Hollis with only these shitty parameters.
All thanks to Danz's parents. Or I should call them my parents now...
My father is a C-rank vice guild master. That alone made me understand a few things.
He must have been reprimanded by his guild master for borrowing a large sum of money. Because I knew that a C-rank vice guild master wouldn't be able to afford me to enroll in Hollis.
When I learned that, an indescribable feeling welled up in my heart.
They paid for their son's tuition despite their financial constraints, and I took their son's body out of nowhere. I don't know how to feel about this situation. Do I really deserve it?
...
Well, back to the status board. The Talent part is... It's just talent!
The thing that the body is most talented at, for me or Danz, is swordsmanship. That means I'm better at using swords than other weapons.
Don't think that my talent for swordsmanship means I can't use other weapons. Talent only states what I'm best at, it doesn't say I can only use swords. It means I'm fine with any weapon.
I haven't decided on an occupation yet, so I haven't had it.
The rest of the parameters below are already obvious, so I won't explain them in detail.
As for skills and special skills, I have to search for the corresponding Skill Book to learn them. Since skill books are hard to find, I'll skip it. I don't plan on going to the battlefield anyway, so why bother looking for skill books?
...
After checking the status board briefly, I glanced at the clock.
"7:30, there's still an hour until school starts. I should get going.". I muttered, then turned around to get my bag filled with the necessities for the first day of school. At least, that's what I thought was necessary.
Leaving the room my parents rented for me near Hollis, I headed towards the academy with excitement.
'I'm about to meet the main cast!'

[8:15. Hollis Academy]
"So this is Hollis Academy? It's so big"
Standing in front of the academy's gate, I couldn't help but gape at the architecture in front of me.
I'm really bad at describing things, so I'll just sum up the scene in front of me in one word: Magnificent.
The super huge architecture was futuristic. The campus stretched out far and wide. The skyscrapers were like pillars of the world...
I really didn't know what to say in front of the school I was about to attend.
"Hey! Are you a new student?" A sweet voice pulled me back to reality.
I turned around and saw a girl with a small figure, about 1m6. She had bright orange hair that was cut short to her shoulders. She looked extremely mischievous and energetic. With her extremely attractive amber brown eyes staring at me. Her lovely face with smooth white skin, she looked like a child of about 12-13 years old.
She stood in front of me, waving her hand to confirm that I was awake.
"Hey, are you still there?"
Seeing her, my thoughts skipped a beat. I muttered shakily.
"Livy Hadley..."
"Hmm, you know my name? It seems like I'm quite famous? Hehe" she smiled, an innocent smile as bright as the sun, warming and melting anyone.
How could I not know her? It's Livy?! Livy Hadley!
She is Karen's teammate and one of the main characters!
'My heart, take it easy'
Trying to regain some composure, I blurted out.
"Um... of course I know you. You're super famous"
"Really?" She was still smiling and looking at me, making me feel extremely embarrassed.
"Well...school's about to start, I'll be going first!" I cut off the conversation and ran away.
I really wanted to meet the main characters, but not in such close contact! I just wanted to watch them from afar! Being close to them would only bring more trouble to myself. I don't want to die!
---
"...huh?" Livy stood frozen in front of the gate, her eyes glued to Danz's figure gradually disappearing into the distance.
'Is he avoiding me?' The corner of her lips twitched slightly.
She felt a little uncomfortable that the first person she talked to was avoiding her like the plague.
Letting out a breath, she decided to ignore it and entered the academy gate. After all, he was just a random student she met in front of the gate. She had no reason to hold a grudge against him.
