Ray said as we entered the field in the middle of the ground.
"The pleasure is mine to be meeting the new Sun of the Griffith family"
'Sun', that is his attribute.
A mutated attribute that appeared in the previous generation of the Griffith family, means Ray's father Count Griffith who stumbled upon an opportunity.
And he was not alone.
In his younger days, Count Griffith and his best friend who is now known as Count Layton stumbled upon a treasure.
It was an artifact known as the Sun&Moon plate which caused mutation on both of them who had light attributes.
Count Griffith's light attribute evolved into the Sun attribute while count Layton's light attribute turned into the Moon attribute.
It was not an absolute upgrade like the Holy attribute but a mutation which balanced the strength of their attributes differently.
I wonder, where did they even find such a treasure?
We took our fighting stance on each side of the field.
Both of us can use range attacks so it is better this way, after all it is an evaluation test not a real battle.
Ray raised his hands in front of his chest, putting both the palms facing each other like holding something.
An illusionary miniature sun appeared between his palms.
Very well, since we can't use any magic tool, Ray is creating a projection of his power to use it in place of a magic staff.
Well, I don't need anything like that because....my body is my magic staff.
I activated my 'Twin Elemental Vision' or in other words 'Horizon Eye'.
By learning the visions of both wind and water elements, I practiced them until I was able to fuse both of them together and developed this 'Horizon Eye'.

Ray casts his first spell as a beam of light is released from the miniature sun.
'Solar Flare', a light attribute spell.
His attribute in essence is still light but with stronger attack power and weaker auxiliary power.
Light is the most revered higher attribute in the Yona Kingdom.
Anyone who is blessed with this attribute has a bright future ahead of them.
For example Griffith, Layton and also the heroine's Blessen family does not have a long history like our Shen and Elena's Mizo family.
But still they were able to rise up to the ranks of counts and viscounts because of this attribute.
The solar flare covered the distance between both of us in no time but I have already moved using 'Wind Dance' and dodged the attack.
I fly upward to get a better position to launch my attack.
For starters let me test your defense.
'Water Arrows'
I fired a bunch of water arrows while also preparing another spell.
Instead of defense magic, Ray decided to invest in the attack as a barrage of small spheres of highly concentrated solar flames were launched.
This should be his 'Solar Parade'.
The spheres collided with the arrows as the whole area got covered in water vapours.
Though Ray is acting unfazed but I can already see sweat on his forehead with my 'Horizon Eye'.
He is anxious.
Well now he is pretty much trapped in my domain.
With water vapours around him, his vision will be weaker while mine will become better.
Ray gritted his teeth and launched another strong spell.
A significant part of that miniature sun got separate from it and launched in the form of an attack in my direction.
'Solar Bash', a more concentrated version of Solar Parade.
But I am already prepared as I cast my magic spell.
Water gathered and formed a spear above my right palm which was already raised above my shoulder level.
It looks like a water arrow but much longer and thicker than that.
The spear started spinning like a drill and the form became a little different and distorted.
I throw it like a javelin as it goes with a rapid drill like spinning, piercing through Ray's solar bash.
'Storm Spear'
My self created skill, by combining a normal 'Aqua Spear' with my ability of creating storms and raising the speed with Gale.
It is an absolute piercing skill I created to overcome Dalas's defense but that dude still managed to defend by going all out with his magic core ability.
Of course there is a huge difference between a graduated knight who excels in defense, and a student who has just entered the academy.
I have already won this battle.
