"Did you perhaps kill me?"
Rayen's words sent a shiver throughout Liam's spine.
Gulping, Liam opened his mouth. "I don't know."
This truly wasn't a lie.
Liam continued to explain, "I really don't know... The only memory I have is seeing you already dead."
He swallowed hard, struggling to put his thoughts into words. Desperately, he wanted to believe he hadn't done it, but the guilt he felt back then—the weight that had driven him to thoughts of suicide—was far too real.
Maybe he really did it. Maybe... But he didn't want to accept that.
"I'm sorry..." Liam could only whisper.
Rayen sighed. "Jared told me we had an arguement after the concert."
Hearing Jared's name, Liam paled. "Y-You met Jared?"
Rayen's brows raised.
'What's up with his reaction?'
Rayen decided not to further provoke him by asking about it. He would probably shrunk back more if he forced it.
