The voice was exactly the same, the melody sounded more trenchant as it was live. The piano waved a very precise tone, aligning with the song. Lucifer was certain that he'd met Luna girl. Was it a coincidence? Maybe his father was granting him his wishes like always.
Lucifer was still paused where he stood, mesmerizing at the effect of the song and the wave it sent to him. He got himself closing his eyes and floating spiritually withing the flows of the music. He felt light body wise. And as the rhythm of the music progressed, he found himself digging deeper inside his domain, being one with all versions of himself. He, now frolicking inside his province, the sounds that initiated his state, transgressed and posed as an ancient rhythm, the wave became mellifluous, fully drowned in a state of mysticism.
He began to overheat, the smoke was not yet grande as it evaporated out of his body. His Adam's apple twiched, he let out an impatient breath.
Agra could see through his shut eyes that her master had transferred into another state. She was more shocked that a common human song, could instigate the outskirts of his true form.
" Master, " She whispered into his ear, " You're in public. "
Lucifer soon found comfort in a seat located at the back of the crowd. His song, Saturn had come to an end. Ignoring his steak in front of him, he pitched his eyes on the image behind Saturn, Luna girl. She was dark skinned, more interestingly, her tone was deep dark. She was slender and tall, about 6ft 1, or so. Her hair was straight and long, reaching her waist line with a fringe in the mix. She had an oval face, her eyes were almond shaped, and possessed a dark brown containment. Her nose was pointed, While she had a petite, slant shaped lip.
Lucifer had initiated his sharp vision to proceed with the task at hand. The possession that caused him to raise his brows, was when he saw her dimple surface as she gave a handshake to who he perceived was the manager of Durell's.
He watched her closely from the back, even as she joined her cast. He watched every ounce of her character, and for some reason, he was intrigued.
He gave less attention to his meal, or to Agra, who sat opposite of him. He made her food invisible, so she could eat without causing a stare. His main focus was at Luna girl, and suddenly her cast. He carefully scrutinized each and every member of those sitting at her table, and accessed her possible relationship with them.
The curly headed, chubby looking black girl at her left side, seemed to be her close friend. Same was the white girl, at the right with blonde hair, who appeared to be heavily fixated on her phone. The other occupants at the table seemed to him as basic friends. He suspected the meeting to be work related, judging by how some of the individuals dressed and coexisted with one another.
She was a lively person, he suspected, although she seemed disappointed. Her close companions were trying to cheer her up and it worked. She spoke to almost everyone at the table, She made every conversational moment with hand gestures and occasionally freestyled her hair back in place. Her legs were oddly positioned, while her left leg sat on the floor like usual, the right one was mounted horizontally on the thigh of the other, giving it a square-like shape.
Not only did that seem off, it didn't suit her dressing at the moment. He noticed her view was shared somewhere else, at the entrance, as though she expected another guest, and by how she acted every time she didn't get the satisfied personnel, who he strongly believed was male.
She had long and attractive legs, and her skin was smooth. Lucifer didn't relent to see the dimple on her surfaced whenever she smiled, laughed or simply clench the lower region of her face. He was very distinct in his viewing about the way she talked, moved, gestured and acted. He concluded that aside from her free flexible style, she had a deep and sensual face. Or maybe it was his sudden crave to link her mentally to her song, and something else he was yet to discover.
" What? " He groaned at Agra.
" Finally, you're back. Welcome. "
" What does that mean? " Lucifer took a sip from his glass of wine.
" For a while there, you've been lost, staring at the Saturn girl. "
" Luna girl. " He corrected.
" Luna girl. " Agra corresponded.
" And what else? "
" I remember how you stared at that Irish woman in Ad 13. "
" Her name was Deirdre, real quiet. "
" You didn't stare at her like you did with Saturn girl. " Their eyes met, " Luna girl. " Agra corrected herself immediately.
" hmm, " Lucifer swallowed a portion of steak, " tell me more. "
" Do you want to keep her? "
Lucifer merged his palms together, " keep her? as a what exactly? "
" A sexual... " Agra thought of a suitable word, " thing. "
" I do want to have sex with her, that's certain. " Lucifer laced Kehlani another look.
**********
" I think we should try another approach, enough of only social media. " Ignes replied.
" Social media rules Ignes, " Tom said, pouring himself another drink.
" I know, I know, but there are other local areas to try out. " Ignes turned to Kehlani, " Lani what do you think? "
" I think we shouldn't be talking about work tonight. " Aneeka answered instead.
The night was drawing to an end, and Austin was no where to be found. Kehlani didn't only feel daft, she was unhappy. He didn't get to see her dressed up and looking beautiful, neither did he see her perform her hit song, Saturn. As her friends began leaving one by one, she replied a text message from her father.
" Babe, you coming? " Joan asked as she and Aneeka were up.
" I will later, y'all head out. "
Aneeka softly rubbed her shoulders, " You okay? "
" I'm fine. " Kehlani answered.
" Fine, don't drive late. Goodnight. " Aneeka bade Kehlani goodbye.
" Night. " Joan echoed as they exited the hall.
" Night. " Kehlani sighed and got back to her phone.
A short amount of time past with Kehlani sitting in solitude when she saw a wine colored handkerchief and a black pen placed on the table in front of her. Kehlani turned aside to see a tall figure appear beside her. Lucifer peeked his eyes at his prize and gently asked,
" Can I get an autograph? "
