Chapter 32 - 32

Dust rose up as Michelle landed on the ground, her eyes turning blood-red from the excitement. A dent formed beneath her as she missed because Alexander dodged.

Michelle landed into a squatting position, her hands down on the ground as the daggers stabbed a bit into the ground, and with her eyes red at the moment, she looked like an unleashed beast as she turned her head to look at Alexander.

He didn't give her a chance to attack and not even the chance to pull her daggers out of the ground as he lunged at her, forcing her to dodge.

But instead of dodging, Michelle kicked towards Alexandre's sword, not caring that it would slash her. Alexander wanted to stop, so he wouldn't hurt her, but she kicked into the blade and as it cut her, she reached out her hand and grabbed Alexander's wrist.

Seeing the clear determination to fight in Michelle's eyes, Alexander knew that she wasn't to give up the fight until a knife was pointed to her throat. That caused the smile on his lips to widen a bit. He was more and more set on taking her with him to the higher realms.

As Michelle slashed her dagger towards him while holding his wrist in place, Alexander bent over backwards and pulled her along with him. He made it seem like he lost balance and was falling back, but as his back was about to hit the ground, he put his free hand behind him and pushed himself to the side, so only Michelle fell down.

With her body hitting the ground, Michelle's eyes turned completely blood-red as she pushed herself off the ground and jumped away. She landed on the spot where her daggers were stabbed into the ground, and as Alexander was lunging at her, she pulled them out to block his attack.

The fight went on for a good two hours until Michelle ended up pinned on the ground with one of her daggers stabbed next to her head and the other one next to her neck, while Alexander pressed his sword to her throat. "You lost, little girl?" he sneered as he spoke.

Michelle's eyes turned back into purple. "Once, I'll defeat you?" her eyes narrowed.

"I'll be waiting for it!" Alexander put the sword away and took a few steps back. He swept his gaze over Michelle and raised a brow. During their fight, a few times, she disregarded her safety and let herself be cut so she could land a hit on him, but most of the wounds were already gone and those that remained were already only small scratches.

"You have some strange healing abilities... You didn't have them in your last life?" Alexander asked curiously.

Michelle nodded. "I didn't. And in the memories I've got after taking over this body, this body didn't have them before I took over."

Hearing that, Alexander raised a brow. "Than it should be connected to your soul..." he said lazily. "Anyway... You promised to give me some useful knowledge from your old world if you lost the fight. So? What will you tell me?" He sneered.

Michelle frowned a bit. "What do you want to know about? A new way to make money? Physical laws which would let you fight more efficiently? Combinations of materials to cause explosions? Elementar working of bodies of spirit energy-less humans? Or something different?"

Before answering, Alexander considered it for a moment. "Before I decide, I have a question. When we fought, did you see something in my fighting style that would improve if I knew the physical laws from your world? And do the physical laws of your old world work here?"

When Alexander's words fell, Michelle raised a brow. "I noticed a few things you could improve. And yes, the laws from my old work definitely work here. So? Do you want to learn physical laws?" she asked with a lazy smile. After having fought, she was much calmer than before, so even the infuriating presence of Alexander in front of her didn't enrage her, only annoy her.

Just like that, Michelle ended up explaining Newton's laws of motion to him. 1st: "Body remains in a state of rest or uniform motion unless acted upon by a net external force." 2nd: "The amount of acceleration of a body is proportional to the acting force and inversely proportional to the mass of the body." 3rd: "For every action there is an equal but opposite reaction. If an object A exerts a force on object B, then object B will exert an equal but opposite force on object A."

Explaining the three laws to Alexander, she realized that the people of the world didn't even know about gravity. They thought that why things fell to the ground was because of spirit energy, but just by the fact that Michelle couldn't feel any spirit energy flowing downwards, she knew that the theory was wrong. All the spirit energy in the world was flowing around horizontally, never vertically.

So from explaining to him the three Newton's laws of motion, she started explaining to him physics from elementary school to high school.

When evening was coming, Michelle stood up from the table where they were sitting and stretched her arms. "Luckily, you are a genius, or I wouldn't even bother to remember all that..." she muttered. "I'm going to cultivate now," she added before she walked away, going into her room.

Alexander observed Michelle's lazy movement as she walked and then looked at the notebook full of notes, calculations and drafts, all about physics. She had taught him much more than she promised before fighting, so he stood up and with a flash of his body, appeared behind her as she was about to enter her room.

"You did more than promised..." without a warning, he reached into her sleeve and took out the notebook with the merger of two contradictory cultivation methods. "So I'll do something more too..." he said with a lazy smile as he started scribbling something in the notebook.

"What?" Michelle's eyes widened in surprise as she leaned over to see what he was doing. When her eyes landed on the notes, her eyes turned red in an instant. "I knew you were a genius, but not that you were such a monstrous one!"

"Done!" Alexander threw the notebook at Michelle before disappearing.

Michelle started going through the notebook as she walked towards her bed and sat on it cross-legged. After going through the notebook, Michelle put it into her sleeve and closed her eyes. Unlike according to the merger of non-contradictory methods she tried before, she didn't burst some of her spirit energy out to attract the surrounding spirit energy. Instead, according to the merger of the contradictory methods, she bit into her lip and as a drop of her blood escaped her mouth, she took a deep breath with her mouth.

That way, air mixed with spirit energy washed over her wound; her blood reacted to it and started sucking it in. Very quickly, she started feeling the pool of spirit energy in her dantian widening at a steady pace, making her blood boil.

It was only because it was her first time cultivating with the method that she had to bite her lip. Because the method forcefully combined her blood veins and spirit veins, merging them into one system, and for that process to begin, her blood had to interact with spirit energy and connect with the channel leading into her dantian.

In the future, she would just be able to start absorbing the spirit energy freely, without even needing to do something special. In other words, while living her normal life, spirit energy would get sucked into her body. Naturally, if she sat down to cultivate, the speed would be increased by folds.

After cultivating for the whole night, Michelle felt a tingle in her hand and opened her eyes. To her surprise, she could already condense some spirit energy on her palm and use it to attack. The spirit energy she could condensate at once was only the size of a nail, but it was already an improvement, because for a person who could cultivate to get to that point was usually the hardest. Once they could condensate the spirit energy, the size would easily grow. And with Michelle's advantage of constantly absorbing spirit energy, she would be even faster.

As the sun rose up, she got off her bed and opened the window. She condensed the speck of spirit energy on her palm and threw it into the air. Once it parted with her hand, it started growing and as it flew, when it was about three meters away from her, it exploded. The explosion was purple.

Michelle watched with fascination. The explosion didn't do any damage as it was in the air, but her guess was that the small speck of spirit energy had the force equivalent to a hand grenade.
