Chapter 6 - Six: A night of passion

Nat's POV

I held on for my dear life in the helicopter, my fear of heights activated by my view of the sprawling ocean beneath us. Rhett had left me idle for another hour before rousing me to the helipad of the hotel and whisking me off into a helicopter. My heart beat hard, partly from the fear of the height but also from his presence right next to me. We were sitting so close our bodies were touching, very little space left for maneuvering on the chopper. He didn't speak to me really. Content to have succeeded in acquiring his most recent conquest, he didn't seem all that interested in playing with me anymore. I wasn't at all surprised for that. Rhett Remington seemed to be a man who liked to prove he could get anything he wanted, and considering I, a married woman was being taken away to have sex with him mere hours after we ran into each other, I was forced to admit he was right. With money like that, he could buy whatever he wanted, including me.

A wave of uncertainty watched over it and the thought that it wasn't too late to call this entire thing off, flashed through my mind. This was crazy wasn't it? Going away to god knew where so I could sleep with a billionaire while my husband waited in our hotel room behind. All for what? One million dollars? Was it really worth it?

I went back and forth with myself, fighting the urge to end this farce now while at the same time reminding myself why I couldn't. I needed this. Nick and I needed this and it wouldn't change anything. After all, we'd both had partners before each other. This would be just one more of those and after tonight, we'd forget it ever happened. We had promised.

"I hope you're not too afraid of heights. Or get seasick. I should probably have found out about that before dragging you out here. My apologies." Rhett said from beside me, his voice muffled over the whir of the blades and headset we wore to keep the noise down.

I shook my head, a weak indication that it was okay and focused the rest of my energy on trying to finish this journey without throwing up.

The plane flew to somewhere in the middle of the ocean, and then, to my complete surprise, it began to land on the large yacht that stood waiting. My jaw dropped at the sight of it, an embarrassing show of unculturedness that I was deeply ashamed of. I righted my face and tried to pretend that I didn't just lose my cool here.

After we landed, Rhett climbed out the doors and held out a hand for me, leading me down the stairs with grace. It took everything in me not to trip on my own feet as I stared at the boat wide-eyed.

It was massive and shiny with polished mahogany and stainless steel all over. Rhett turned to me and gave me a boyish smile, one without any smugness for the first time since I'd met him and it was quite pleasant to look at. "Welcome to the Lisa. My home away from home. It's the one most ostentatious piece I've ever acquired."

He puffed proudly, raising his hands to gesture at the beauty around us. "What do you think?"

I shook my head and let out a nervous laugh, turning a full three-sixty to take everything in.

"It's amazing. How can you ever bear to leave it?" My awe was reflected in my voice and it evidently pleased him because he instantly became warmer.

"I don't. I come here for any and all of my special occasions. No matter where I am in the world, it's never far from me. After all, it moves. I have a home that follows me wherever I go."

He teased and I raised a brow at him, almost mirthful with how much amusement I was feeling "When normal people say that, they mean a motorhome. Not a yatch."

He stepped forward suddenly, his eyes dark, and the air around us changed. My breath caught in my throat, my pulse thumping away rapidly as awareness settled over me. I was here in this beautiful boat for one reason and one reason only, I didn't want to forget it.

"I'm not most people." He whispered and I couldn't help but agree, he certainly wasn't. A strange cat-like sound came out from my mouth a moment before he captured my lips with his.

He tasted like rich malt and cigars, his full firm lips demanding as they splayed over me. My brain short circuited with the feel of his mouth upon mine and I mewled rather strongly. Hands roamed my waist and I tensed, waiting for them to tear at my clothes and get this all over with, but nothing of the sort happened. He only held me steady, close to his chest as he kissed me with considerable skill. His lips roved over mine, finding spots on my neck and chin to linger on while I squirmed within his hold. Slowly, the tension seeped out of my body and I began to relax. Just when I started to think I wouldn't have minded getting my clothes ripped off right about now, he pulled away, adjusting his suit jacket and clearing his throat.

A moment of vulnerability hit me and I wondered if perhaps I wasn't as exciting as he'd thought I'd be. One look at his face dispelled me of such notions. I'd had many a man look at me admiringly. I'd never quite had one who looked at me the way Rhett did now. Standing before me was a very hungry man, and from the promise in his gaze, I could tell he meant to devour me.

My pulse fluttered harder, a sweet ache developing between my thighs.

"We should unwind a bit after our travels. I'm sure you would like a moment alone." A servant I hadn't noticed before, stepped forward and Rhett gestured at her "She'll show you to your room. Have a shower. Dress. Then come to me for dinner and I'll show you around the place."

Odd that this felt more like a luxurious date than the sordid affair I'd thought it was going to be. I was a bit thrown but I nodded my head and went along with it.

I was led to a lovely little room down below in the ship. I could hardly tell I was on a boat as everything looked immaculately well-kept and sturdy as hell. I had a hot shower under the powerful jets and washed my hair with one of the many assortments of shampoos I'd found on the dresser. When I was done, I toweled and oiled my body then nervously came out of the bathroom. I paused when I re-entered the room and noticed the box on the bed. It was wrapped and tied prettily with a ribbon and I really wanted to know what it was.

Walking up to it, I tore undid the ribbon and tore through the wraps, my breath catching in my throat when I saw a familiar dress lying within. It was the little black number I'd been eyeing, the first time I'd seen Rhett. Up close, it was even more beautiful than I had originally thought. This was all turning out to be a bit too much, but I took the dress out the box, unsusprised that a velvet pouch containing a matching jewelry set lay underneath.

Surely he didn't mean for me to keep any of these, I thought with no small amount of shock.

Still, I wore them, marvelling at how the dress clung to me in all the right places and the jewelry added an elegant flair to my outfit. I utilized the make up products on the dresser and had a moment to wonder just how many women he brought back here for he to have so many different brands of anything. I did minimum work on my face, preferring to get as natural a blend of make up as I possibly could. When I was done, I styled my hair into something flattering and I was ready.

There was a maid waitinf outside my door and it was she who led me back to Rhett. He had changed as well, his silver hair still damp from his shower. He wore white khaki shorts and a white polo shirt and waited for me at the deck with that seductive smile of his. My heart fluttered wildly when he took my hand and I nearly combust as his eyes ran over me, the looks ravishing in this dress.

"It's stunning. Just like I knew it would be."

He murmured and I let out a nervous laugh, a bit giddy at how surreal everything seemed. "You really don't give up do you?" I asked and he sent me a boyish grin. "Never. It's helped me get as far as I have."

"I'm sure it has also gotten you into quite a bit of trouble." I said dryly and he shrugged "Nothing I couldn't bear. Dinner?" He asked drawing out a chair for me on the lavishly set table, I slid into it.

Dinner was a titilating affair. I ate the most delicious dishes and had several lovely glasses of wine while Rhett entertained me with tales of his business and I found myself laughing throughout. I didn't think of Nick even once. Not when he smiled that sexy way of his that had my thighs clenching together. Not when he lowered his head to claim my mouth in a deeply satisfying kiss. A feral sound came from the back of my throat as I clung to him, my need greatly overshadowing any reason I might have shown.

Suddenly, I didn't care about anything. Only the throbbing between my legs and the man who could ease it. I didn't know when he lifted me into his arms and started moving, but I didn't pull away to find out where we were going. He could have dumped me in the middle of the road at that moment and still had me compliant.

I felt myself being lowered to a large bed and then he was on me, lips, fingers and teeth working that exquisite dress off my body and teasing me with nibbles, traces and kisses.

I jerked, body vibrating with need as I clung to him.

"Please." I whispered, desperate to fill the ache at the center of my body. He rose over me then, only to willing to give me what I wanted and I spread my legs wide open for him.

"Now, plea—" I trailed off, my head flying backwards as he pushed into me, sheating his hardness completely in my warmth. A scream tore out of my mouth when he began to move and my eyes fluttered close.

"Look at me Natalie." He ordered and I opened my eyes, my impassioned gaze meeting his.

"You're mine now. Do you hear that?" He demanded but I could barely breathe much less speak, torn by the assualt of desire as I was.

"Mine, mine, mine, mine, mine!" He chanted as he drove into me with a fury and I wrapped my legs around him, agreeing eagerly. For one long momen

t, I believed I was entirely his.
