Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Membrace

š“‚ƒ Ö“Ö¶Öøš€” Kiri beamed, her eyes full of spirit and courage. "Let's jump now!" she exclaimed, looking at Michaella, who seemed hesitant.

Michaella froze, staring at the edge of the floating island that appeared like an endless abyss. "J-Jump from here?" she asked, her voice trembling as she tried to suppress her fear.

Kiri nodded enthusiastically. "Trust me, our Horizon Wings can take us flying freely! Hold my hand tightly!" Kiri grasped Michaella's hand, giving her a sense of security.

Michaella took a deep breath, her heart pounding. "Alrightā€¦" she said hesitantly, following Kiri's boldness.

With a spirited yell, Kiri pulled Michaella, and together they leapt into the sky. Their bodies instantly soared, cutting through the cold, fierce wind, then submerged into the softness of the clouds enveloping them. The sun radiated around them, casting golden shadows on every side.

"I feel like we're flying!" Kiri laughed, shouting with excitement, while Michaella, though holding her breath, began to open her eyes to enjoy the surrounding view.

They floated freely in the sea of clouds, experiencing a freedom they had never felt before. Michaella, who was initially anxious, started to smile slightly, feeling more relaxed and carried away by the moment.

"You're right," she said, looking at Kiri, her smile growing wider. "Thisā€¦ is so beautiful."

Their Horizon Wings worked perfectly, allowing them to glide smoothly. A gentle breeze caressed their faces, and as the last of the clouds parted, a vast expanse of land unfolded below.

"What is thatā€¦?" Michaella murmured in wonder.

Kiri gazed at the green plains below with keen interest. "I don't know. But let's go down and see!" she said excitedly.

Carefully, they steered their Horizon Wings toward the land, adjusting their speed and preparing for a landing. Finally, they landed smoothly on the vast grassy plains, surrounded by green grass dancing in the wind.

They stood for a moment, silent in the tranquility and beauty of the scene. "Where are we?" Michaella muttered, staring at the unfamiliar land.

Kiri grinned widely, her eyes sparkling as she looked around. "I don't know, but it seems like we've found a new place to explore!"

š“‚ƒ Ö“Ö¶Öøš€” Green Plains, Fathereka.

"Michaella, look at this! It's an Asllasha butterfly!"

The butterfly was a luminous purple, with crystalline patterns on its wings that shimmered in the sunlight. Kiri pointed at it with excitement, making Michaella smile slightly. The butterfly fluttered gracefully, leaving trails of light particles that slowly faded.

"It's so beautifulā€¦" Michaella whispered, her eyes fixed on the delicate creature.

Kiri stepped closer carefully, trying not to disturb the butterfly perched on a wildflower. "Asllasha butterflies are rare. They only appear in places rich with life energy. Maybeā€¦ this plain is special," she said with curiosity.

Michaella knelt beside her, observing closely. "Does this mean there's something here waiting to be discovered?" she asked, her tone shifting from doubt to enthusiasm.

Kiri nodded confidently. "Maybe. Or maybe this is just the beginning of something bigger."

Suddenly, the wind blew stronger, carrying the sweet scent of flowers and a soft rustling sound. The Asllasha butterflies fluttered, seemingly forming a specific pattern in the air, leading somewhere in the distance.

"Do you see that?" Kiri asked, pointing at the pattern forming.

Michaella stood quickly, her eyes following the synchronized movement of the butterflies. "It's likeā€¦ they're showing us the way."

Without hesitation, Kiri grabbed Michaella's hand. "Let's follow them! Who knows, they might lead us to the answer as to why we're here."

With excitement, they ran across the meadow, following the light trails left by the Asllasha butterflies. The farther they went, the surroundings began to change. The green grass transformed into wildflowers of various colors, resembling a living rainbow. In the distance, tall trees with glistening leaves appeared, as though adorned with gemstones.

"Kiriā€¦ this place feels like a dream," Michaella said in awe, her eyes glued to the magical scenery ahead.

"I know, Michaella. But this is real. And I'm sure this place holds something extraordinary."

Their steps halted as they reached the edge of a lake, its water shimmering like liquid crystal. At the center of the lake stood a grand statue of a woman radiating an air of mystery. The woman wore a long flowing robe that appeared to ripple gracefully, with glasses perched on her head. Her hair was carved long, cascading like waves. She stood with her right hand raised to the sky while her left hand was folded behind her back. Despite her warm smile, the statue was covered in moss and creeping plants, showing it had stood there for centuries.

Michaella was transfixed, marveling at the statue's beauty and grandeur despite being overtaken by nature. "Who is she, I wonder?" she whispered, approaching the lake's edge.

Kiri examined it closely, squinting her eyes. "I don't know, but she must have been someone important. Look at the detailsā€”even covered in moss, the craftsmanship is incredible."

Michaella stepped onto a light bridge that gradually formed across the lake, cautiously approaching the statue. Her hand extended, gently pulling away the vines that draped the base of the statue. As she removed one of the plants, letters began to emerge from beneath the moss covering the inscription at the base.

"Seraphineā€¦" Michaella murmured, reading the name elegantly engraved. Her fingers lightly brushed the letters, trying to grasp the meaning of the name.
