A few days passed, and they had been quite peaceful. Mireth sent me to the village, as she had done for the past few years, to replenish the repellent so that the monsters wouldn't get close.
On my way there, I gathered a few ingredients to make poison and started taking it to try and increase my Resistance to Poisons.
'If I keep training with the sword, will I be able to obtain a skill from the system related to swords?'
When I finally reached the village's fence, I took one of the repellents to start spreading it.
It usually took me hours to go around the village because if I didn't spread it properly, the monsters could find a way in.
While I spread the repellent, I saw that they had let the chickens out of the coop so they could eat a little and presumably so they wouldn't be locked up for too long. I also saw a few cows being milked.
"I guess there will be cheese."
After about an hour, I had almost finished with the village, so I just needed to push a little more when I heard a voice.
"Hey, Vaelor!"
I looked behind me, and Selene was running toward me, carrying a bow.
'Is she interested in bows now?'
"Finally found you. I was told they saw you going around the village, so here I am," she said with a smile.
Selene always seemed very sweet to me, reminding me of a little girl who lived near me and whom I gave a few lessons to, although she didn't have gray hair and wasn't a half-elf.
"I'm finishing up with the repellent. Is something wrong?" I asked, continuing to spread the repellent.
"Well, I have some news for you," she said somewhat proudly.
"And what would that news be?" I asked again.
"I'm a Sniper," she said with a smile.
"A Sniper? Did you awaken your class?!"
She laughed and took out her bow and an arrow.
"Want me to show you?" she asked while preparing the bow.
"Of course!" I said, eager to see how that class worked. "But first, I need to finish spreading the repellent."
"Let me help you."
With Selene's help, we finished spreading the repellent.
"Then, are you going to show me your class?" I asked eagerly.
"Yes!"
She got into position, drew the bow, and placed the arrow on the string, pulling it back as if she had been using it for a long time, though she hadn't.
"Precise Shot."
As soon as she released the string, the arrow flew toward a tree and lodged itself perfectly in the center.
I approached the arrow to get a better look and saw that it had been a very good shot.
"Wow, you really are a Sniper class," I said, impressed.
"Hehe, you didn't think you'd be the only one to get a class, did you? When Caelum gets his class, the three of us will keep getting stronger while staying together," she said, grabbing my hand, and we started running. "Let's go! We need to catch up with Caelum!"
"I'm coming! I'm coming! No need to rush me!"
We ran to catch up, though I was being pushed by Selene.
'Thankfully, being a kid, I have more energy.'
I followed her, so I wouldn't be dragged behind.

Vaelor and Selene reached the training ground, not wanting to delay Caelum's training.
"You two. What were you doing together?" Caelum asked.
"Well, I showed Vaelor my class," Selene replied.
"I see... YOUR CLASS?! DID YOU AWAKEN YOUR CLASS?!" he asked, excited.
"Hehe, of course," she said.
Selene used her ability again, showing Caelum, who was left stunned.
"What do you think? Now Vaelor and I have classes," said Selene, laughing a little.
"You'll see. I'll also get my class and be stronger than both of you. Just wait," Caelum said, grabbing his spear.
"Of course! And then the three of us will travel the world!" Selene shouted.
She hugged Vaelor and Caelum for a group hug.
"Traveling together... sounds good," Vaelor said.
While the kids were talking, Alonso approached them, somewhat happy to see them so united.
"If you want to leave the village, you'll have to be stronger," Alonso said with a smile.
"That's why we train!" Selene said.
"We need to train more if we want to go together," Caelum said.
"Let's train harder so we can make it!" Selene shouted again.
"Didn't we complain yesterday about the exercises being too hard?" Vaelor asked.
"Yeah, but we need to push ourselves if we want to go together," Selene replied.
"Then, get ready for the hardest training I've got for you," Alonso said.
"Yes!!" The three kids shouted.
As Alonso said, he started making them train with everything he could think of. He had Vaelor and Caelum practice their combat skills against hunters who volunteered to help, while Selene practiced archery since she barely knew how to use it.
During those days, some other kids also joined the training to learn how to hunt and help bring meat to the village.
While the other kids were just starting their training, Vaelor, Selene, and Caelum continued to train for weeks to achieve their dream without major incidents. Then, seeing their progress, Alonso came up with a small mission for them.
"Alright. Vaelor, Selene, Caelum, come over here."
The three stopped training and went over to him to listen.
"I've seen your progress lately, and I think it's time for you to carry out a mission on your own."
Upon hearing this, the three jumped with joy, as they could finally show their abilities.
"Recently, we've seen some Little Wolves nearby that started killing wild boars, so hunting has been difficult. Your mission is as follows: Find a Little Wolf, follow it to its den, and inform the rest of the hunters," he said, handing them a small bottle.
"Our first mission!" Caelum said excitedly.
"This sounds amazing! I want to go now and take out those wolves!" Selene exclaimed.
"We could try out how we'll fight in the future," Vaelor said.
The three prepared with repellents and potions in case something went wrong, along with spare arrows for Selene.
Once ready, they ventured into the forest to find a Little Wolf.
"How exciting! I can't wait to shoot an arrow into a Little Wolf's head!" Selene said, pretending to hold her bow.
"Remember, we can't just kill them. We need to find out where their den is. That's our mission," Caelum said, scanning the area.
"That's true. But I think we should cover our scent first," Vaelor suggested.
Vaelor took out a different potion, which had a brown color.
"This potion needs to be poured on a cloth, which will spread a forest scent, so we'll be camouflaged, and they won't be able to smell us," he explained.
While Vaelor started pouring the potion, Selene and Caelum watched in awe at his alchemy skills. After the cloth was prepared, Vaelor tied it to his waist.
"Let's go."
The three continued together, trying to find any clues about the Little Wolves, but had no luck.
They searched for almost an hour, with Selene eating some berries she found along the way, until they heard a sound in the grass, so they quickly readied their weapons.
They moved cautiously until they saw a group of Little Wolves, who had just finished hunting a wild boar and were dragging it away.
"There they are," Selene whispered, preparing to shoot.
Vaelor stopped her and signaled with his head not to shoot.
The Little Wolves began to leave, so they started following them, keeping their distance. As they followed, they heard the sound of water, indicating they were near a river.
When they finally reached the river, they saw a large rock on top of another, creating an opening where they saw the Little Wolves' pack gathered.
"There they are," Caelum said.
"Selene, how many are there?" Vaelor asked.
Selene used the ability she had recently obtained, Eagle Eye, which allowed her to enhance her vision and accuracy, and saw that there were a total of 25 Little Wolves.
"There are 25," she said, a little scared.
"That's too many. Let's inform the others and let them handle it," Vaelor said.
"Yeah, you're right," Caelum agreed.
They took out the bottle that had been given to them.
"How does this work?" Caelum asked.
"Good question. We should have asked," Vaelor replied.
He looked at the bottle, which seemed to have a thread on it, and pulled it. A red smoke flare shot up into the sky.
"I think we should run," Vaelor said.
"Why?" Selene asked.
Just then, they heard a lot of howls from the Little Wolves.
"That's why," Vaelor replied.
The three ran as they heard the Little Wolves following them.
Vaelor turned around and, using Quick Slash, cut down a tree to try and slow the wolves down while they kept running.
Some of them jumped over the tree, resuming the chase until several arrows flew toward them.
"Attack!"
The hunters had arrived and began killing the Little Wolves, while some checked on the kids.
"Are you alright?" one asked.
The three nodded.
"Good. Stay with us while the rest take care of it."
"Great job," said an archer.
The kids watched as the others fought.
As the battle concluded, Alonso went to the kids.
"You did well. It was a difficult task, but you did it. I'll be sure to reward you."
Afterward, the kids went back to the village, where their training continued.
