"Is it really that rare for people to eat in there?" David asked as they made their way to the gym to join the others.
"Why was he looking at us like that, though?" Diana asked.
She was a first-year student at the school and had never used the cafeteria since her admission. There was no reason to waste money on it when she could simply eat at home.
"Things are really expensive here in Singapore," David noted with a frown.
They hadn't bought much, but it had cost them nearly 1,500 Singaporean dollars. Considering the country's economic model, David could understand why, but he still couldn't help complaining.
Arriving at the gym, the three opened the door to reveal a vast number of students, all talking and chatting with a friend or two. It was a more relaxing and familiar environment compared to the garden. This felt like a normal university gathering, especially during the daytime.
