She touched her head as more memories flooded her mind, but she is not familiar with the memories she touched her head and screamed in pain.
"Ahh.."
"Your Highness what happened," Lady Elara said as she helped her up. "I will call the imperial physician right away."
"No don't, it will only raise suspicion," Lyra said as she struggled to endure the pain.
All the memories are blurry so she can't even see the face of her fiance properly.
Lady Elara helped Lyra out of the bathtub and led her to the bedchamber as she was still weak alone without any support.
Lady Elara clapped her hand and the other maid came in with imperial attires, all of them bowing before her.
"Your Highness we will help you change into a new robe," they help her to change into a white robe decorated with flowers, they gently sit her down in front of the mirror, and that's when Lyra notices that her appearance has changed as well.
Lyra admired her transformed reflection. Her piercing brown eyes sparkled, framed by luscious blonde hair. Her skin glowed with a soft, delicate radiance
Lyra smiled while admiring her new appearance. She can't help but be impressed by her new look.
"Is there anything wrong with your skin?" Lady Elara asked and she shook her head immediately.
The maid took a potion of her hair and combed it gently to the back while applying oil and massaging her silky hair.
She styled her in an elegant, dazzling design that showcases her natural beauty.
A few loose curls escape, falling down her slender neck and showcasing her flawless complexion.
They help her to apply makeup and wear all the jewelry. Lyra felt like the jewelry and the attire were too heavy. She struggles to stand up as she is too weak. She was about to fall when a hand caught her from behind and he sent the signals to the maid to leave.
"Why did you dress up so much?" Imperial Crown Prince Lyrien asked as he held her waist, he noticed that she had lost some weight and she was lighter than before so it was easy for him to use only one hand to hold her.
Lyra blinked, staring at the handsome prince. "Who…. Who are you?" She asked before covering her mouth when she came to the realization that he was her fiance, if not why would he be this intimate with her?
"Lyra," he called her name in his deep yet romantic voice. "Do you know how long I wait for you to come back? I do not care if you remember but I want you to know that I will always love you so will you get married to me?"
Lyra blinked her eyes. She did not know what to say at this moment, she just stared at him before realization hit her. "Did..did he just propose, oh my gosh nobody has ever proposed to me before," she thought before nodding her head. It is not like she has any other choice than to agree when they are already engaged.
"Ok then I will talk to the Emperor about it," he said before leaving the chamber.
Lyra is still dumbfounded, she has never experienced anything like this before.
After he left, Lady Elara came into the room and bowed. "Your Highness it is time to eat,"
"Ok but can I change into something comfortable? This attire is too exposing for an engaged woman," Lyra complained she is not used to wearing things like this.
"You can't, you only have an hour to eat before studying," Lady Elara said as if she was warning her to go and eat. If not she will not get a chance to eat again until the afternoon.
Lyra groaned. "Fine," she said before walking behind her to the dining area.
There are different kinds of food on the table, and as a chef, she can't help but admire all the food. She wishes to go back to her world immediately when she sees the food that was served, she misses cooking so much and her friend.
"Your Highness, your wedding date has been decided it will be a week to this time by then you will be fully recovered," Lady Elara told her about the news and she was so stunned, she did not expect the wedding to be that soon and she is not ready to face the prince she knows nothing about she did not know who were her friends and those that are her enemy everything is confusing.
* * * * * *
A week later.
Lyra was led to the altar by her father. She looked at every eye that was staring at her. This is her first wedding whether it is this world or her previous world and she only wants a happy life for herself.
"Lyra you have to be confident today is your wedding, dear husband please be a good man," she murmured to herself as her father gave her hand to Crown Prince Lyrien.
He took her hand slowly and led her to the altar, both of them stood staring into each other's eyes, Lyra stared at him to see any hint of sadness but his expression was not clear, more like expressionless. In her past life, Lyra is good at reading people's expressions but it is hard for her to read the expressions on this man's face.
"Let's begin," Emperor Nicole instituted the priest to start the wedding rites before they brought the wedding ring forward, crown prince Lyrien took the ring and pslide it into her finger while repeating after the priest.
"I, Lyrien Wellington, take you, Princess Lyra Windsor, as my wife. I pledge to stand by your side, to laugh with you, and to build a life filled with love, and laughter in sickness and in health, for all eternity, as we embark on this sacred journey together."
The priest turned to Lyra and asked her to repeat after him.
Lyra sighed nervously. "I, Lyra Windsor take you, Crown Prince Lyrien as my husband, I pledge to stand by you, cherish and love you, in sickness and in health till death do us part."
The priest smiled. "I now pronounce you husband and wife, crown prince Lyrien you may now kiss your wife."
"Ki…kiss!!" Lyra screamed in her head she was not prepared for this, as crown prince Lyrien leaned closer to her she turned her cheek at him and the kiss landed on her cheek instead.
Everyone burst into laughter after watching the exciting scene. Lyra smiled at the embarrassment as well, pretending as if she did not notice crown prince Lyrien's gaze.
Her gesture, every smile, and every glance exude a captivating elegance that leaves a lasting impression, he keeps on staring at her as she laughs.
