Chapter 250 - Chapter 247: Nicole Wants a Divorce, Tom Chooses a Wife

"What's Tom Cruise's deal?"

After getting back into the car, Anna asked the white man.

The white man responded, "Hmph, that jerk Tom Cruise is definitely having an affair with Sherri Lansing!"

"Ah, really?!" Anna gasped, then curiously asked, "Then why is he letting us handle these photos ourselves?"

"He's pissed off, man. Brad Pitt stole his wife, and now Tom Cruise wants to get back at him."

The white man sneered. "What kind of superstar? To those powerful people, he's just a toy."

...

"Things not going well?"

Seeing Tom Cruise's expression, David Miskiewicz knew things hadn't gone as planned.

Tom Cruise shook his head, still fuming. "Met two idiots, but never mind them. Let's start the ceremony!"

"Alright, I'll get it ready."

David Miskiewicz left the meditation hall.

A moment later, a group of beautiful women dressed in white robes entered and helped Tom Cruise bathe and change. Then, the unique ceremony began.

David Miskiewicz returned to his office and called his assistant.

"Mark, the plan to choose a wife for Tom can begin. We need to make sure his inner circle consists of our people!"

"Got it, I'll handle it right away!"

...

The next day's newspapers were filled with news about Sherri Lansing and Brad Pitt having an affair.

Both were married.

Brad Pitt's wife was even a big name, Hollywood sweetheart—Jennifer Aniston.

Both sides' PR teams scrambled to manage the crisis.

Sherri Lansing held a press conference, saying, "That night, I only invited Brad Pitt to discuss a script, nothing else."

Meanwhile, Brad Pitt's side stuck to the story that Brad was there to discuss a script.

Jennifer Aniston, filming Friends Season 6 in New York, received the news and soon after got a call from her husband explaining everything.

She coolly dismissed it and hung up.

Turning around, she saw several of her close friends, also Friends co-stars—Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer—looking at her with concerned eyes.

Jennifer Aniston forced a smile. "I'm fine! Just fake news!"

Courteney Cox, Jennifer's closest friend, expressed her displeasure. "That bastard, you're still covering for him? Damn, you should've divorced him. If it weren't for you fighting for him, that jerk wouldn't have gotten so many resources or the fame he has now!"

"No, please stop!" Jennifer Aniston's eyes reddened.

Courteney Cox held back the rest of her words, stepping forward to hug her, while the other friends joined in to comfort her.

...

Los Angeles.

Tom Cruise's "Trouble-Cleansing Ceremony" had ended.

Before he left, David Miskiewicz stopped him and said seriously, "Tom, I really think you need to reconsider your marriage. Nicole isn't a good partner. The demon inside her is too strong, and it's going to affect you."

Tom Cruise hesitated but nodded quickly. "I understand. I'll handle it."

David Miskiewicz smiled, then added, "By the way, Tom, next month, a few women will be coming to the headquarters for a soul-cleansing ceremony. They'll need a significant person to guide them. Are you available?"

Tom Cruise replied, "I'll make time."

...

Back at the villa.

Tom Cruise found that Nicole wasn't home. After sitting on the sofa and thinking for a while, he called his agent, Kingsley, and bluntly asked, "Where did Nicole go?"

Kingsley furrowed his brows. "Tom, Nicole went to her little house. You didn't come home last night either? Honestly, you should work on your marriage with Nicole. She's a good wife!"

Tom Cruise frowned. "Nicole didn't come home last night either. Why didn't you say anything?"

He didn't like how his agent seemed to favor Nicole. It felt like, ever since he married her, that bias had only grown stronger.

Kingsley responded calmly, "Because I know where she is, but I don't know where you are! I know you were the one to leave home first!"

Tom Cruise looked at Kingsley. "You should know that if I can't be reached, I'm at the church doing meditation. The only time my phone is off is then..."

Kingsley looked worried. "Tom, the failure of Pearl Harbor isn't a big deal. It's temporary. No one wins all the time. You should be focusing more on your family and career, not that church!"

The words struck a nerve with Tom Cruise.

He coldly stared at Kingsley. "Scientology is not a cult. It cured my reading disorder. I don't want to hear you talk like this again. Do you think I can't tell right from wrong?"

Kingsley's concern deepened.

She thought she should really talk to Tom Cruise about her concerns. She didn't want to see him fall deeper into the trap, ultimately controlled by that damn "cult."

"Tom, it's just a coincidence. That church is using you as a tool to make money. They want to control you! They've already interfered too much in your life—they won't let you see your daughter, they've destroyed your relationship with Nicole, and they even meddled in your career. I told you Pearl Harbor wasn't a good choice..."

"Shut up, get out of my house!" Tom Cruise suddenly exploded in anger.

Kingsley stood up and coldly said, "Think carefully, don't let that cult ruin your life."

"Shut up, shut up, shut up, get out!"

"Do what you want," Kingsley said, grabbing her bag and leaving without looking back.

She then called Nicole Kidman.

"Nicole, Tom might want a divorce. I tried, but I couldn't convince him."

Nicole's tone on the other end of the line surprised her.

"Really? Oh, damn, that's great, I've had enough!"
