In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war. The Emperor of Mankind wages a constant battle to protect humanity from the horrors of space. On the fringes of the Imperium, alien races lurk and plot, and chaos demons leak into our reality from the torment of the warp. This is the iconic entry into the brutal universe of Warhammer 40K. If I knew where I was, I would have offed myself millennia ago.
These were my thoughts on the Macragge's Honor, the infamous Gloriana-class battleship and personal flagship of Primarch Roboute Guilliman. Well, normal people don't monologue like they are talking to someone, but living in this place long enough turns you into Sheogorath's favorite human. How could someone like me know all these things, you might ask? Well, I am a special case, a reincarnator. Probably the unluckiest of them all. I am Noah Light, The Pioneer of Humanity. Sick title, right? I used to live in the 21st century as an ordinary nerd. I loved fantasy and wanted to be in one. Well, you know the old saying, "Be careful what you wish for." Then I died in an earthquake. I thought that was it. Well, it was not. The next thing I knew, I was in a hospital. But that's enough of a monologue. I can hear someone coming.
"Lord Noah, you have been called to the bridge. Please report."
'My time has come, I guess,' I thought as I made my way to the bridge. And there they are, the primarchs Roboute Guilliman and Lion El'Jonson. If it were millennia ago, I would beg for a sign.
"Are you guys ready, Little Robu?" Oh, how much he hated this nickname. I could see Lion's smirk. Guilliman seemed like he would attack me right now, but his responsibility as the Imperial Regent stopped him. "Yes, we are, Lord Noah. You?"
"Ready as I will ever be." Oh, I didn't talk about why I am here, did I? I am about to sacrifice myself for the glory of the Emperor, which, considering all fates in the Galaxy, especially ones involving chaos, is quite satisfactory. Now let's get down to business.
From the outer universe, there is a threat that the Imperium has never seen before. A Tyranid Hive Fleet greater than anything ever seen. Normally, this would be the end for our galaxy, but there was a race that hated them even more than the Imperium with all their xenophobia. The Necrons (for some reason). With the existence of a greater threat, a temporary alliance was formed between Terra and the Necrons. And the conclusion was this: Essentia Exitium, the greatest bomb ever made in the history of the galaxy. And here I am. I guess my sacrifice is obvious by now.
"Why are you doing this?" A mechanic voice emerged from behind me. A Necron, an Overlord to be specific. "Doing what, Trazyn? You need to be more specific," I asked gleefully. "Doing all this sacrifice bullshit when you have those things," said Trazyn. His voice was uncharacteristically full of emotions. "I also wonder that," a soft voice added. "Ynnead. How pleasant. It's simple, my old rival. Unlike you, I am just a man in flesh who is slowly getting older, weaker, and more vulnerable every single passing day. I hear the whispers of Slaanesh, feel the madness of Khorne, and smell the plagues of Nurgle stronger than I have ever done before. I don't know how much longer I can continue resisting the corruption of the Warp, and I won't risk my corruption. And don't worry about 'those things'; they are operating as they should. So do not even try to take advantage of my sudden absence," I said. "However, the deal is still on the table. You gave that to Robu, and the coordinates will be sent," I pointed to a holographic cube.
"What is that even?" Said Trazyn with his characteristic courage of relics. "A pet project of mine. Just my will and last words. I was never good at farewells, after all. You can keep it for your museum after if you want." "And what exactly is stopping me from stealing it right away?" He asked with a curious look. "I don't know, maybe the weapons that I hid in your museum." I could see his calculating mind looking for a hint of bluff. Even with all these chats, it was still a battle. We both knew that, and all of this is just a front. "Well played, old friend," he finally said with a little disappointment. "So, Ynnead, I understand Trazyn. He always desired my collection, but why are you here?" I asked the Eldari Goddess, her avatar more likely. "I want to know what you are really planning, Noah. We both know that the bomb Essentia Exitium is not of Necron origin. So what is it really?" Said the Goddess of Death. "You will see it, Ynnead. Be patient. Just one warning, though. Do not go in there. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a glorious sacrifice to make." With that, both the Necron and the Goddess left.
After that, I took my precious backpack. Well, it is more like a sub-dimension with the size of a planet, but who cares. Now it's time for a show.

In the absolute void between galaxies, a warp portal opened, and a little vessel passed through. Meanwhile, a whole Ork Waaagh and four Hive Fleets from the galaxy followed the vessel. Yeah, I am inside that ship. If you think this is a lot of xenos, you would be right 99.9999% of the time, but not this time. While I was on the bridge playing with a gold glowing syringe, all major enemies of the Imperium were at my back, just where I wanted them to be.
In the vast empty void, the small vessel and its only crew were finally caught by the forces of the enemy. Even the Gods of Chaos ruptured the materium for their wicked legions. They were everywhere in every dimension surrounding. Suddenly, a golden light emanated from the vessel that frightened this dark void and its guests. The light was the symbol of Order and Logic, the light of the Emperor of Mankind. With the light, there was also a power that surpassed any mortal.
Panic spread through the legions."ANATHEMA!"The scream of the gods shaked the reality itself. The Gods was here with their greatest demons.
(POV:MC)
"NO! this is not him. This is a trap!"
"Well I was not expecting to trick the god of trickery for long but its already over. The Plan was a success".These were my thought while I started the bomb.As the moment I gave the last signal."Eat the Sun MF!!!!A brighter light emerged. Not just blinded us all but also sealed both materium and immaterium.I didnt told you the core of this bomb did I.Well it is 50g antimatter 30g prometheum and a shard of a C'tan.Yeah now this can kill gods.Of course that wont kill them permanently but it should earn enough time for Robu and Lion to Clean up the Imperium.
These were my last thoughts before everything gone dark.Again.
********
I can see.Its pitch black but I know I can see.Which is weird because last time that was not the case. While floating in the darkness I can started to pick some sparcks of light from far away.Slowly A green light grew and blinded me again.
When I opened my eyes I all I can see was a man sitting on a throne infront of me.
"Where am I?Who are you?"
"We are in the purgatory, the place dividing life and afterlife.I am Soul Emperor the person responsible for dead people"He pulled a folder from air"Now lets look at you mister...Noah Light.
Age 40356.
Titles:Pioneer Of Humanity,Founder Of the Federation,Father of xenology,The ultimate Inventor, left hand Of the Emperor. The Destroyer of Gods,The Man who lived twice
World:Whm44-psn889+
Total Karma:+3899949844..."(still increasing)
"I have to accept you have a remarkable record here.I knew sending you to 40K was the right choice. but lets take it slowly.this place is beyond time afterall. If you have any question ask me right away."
As you can imagine I was quite shocked. But thanks to Magnus my tolerence of uninvited knowledge was quite high so I calmed down."If I get this right you are responsible for my reincarnation and know my whole lives."
"Yes"
"Then why did you done that.what did I do to deserve such a fate. Why the hell in all worlds it has to be the one where being alive is a sin."
"Because you wanted to help people in need.So I sent you to the place where they need it the most. You wanted to be a genious so I gave you the best possible mind that the limits of your body and soul can hold. This is what you wanted in deep down. Now tell me Noah and tell me sincerely are you really regretted it."He said calmly.
"Also you born in M2.I did not told you to find a way to live 40 millenia"
"Well it doesnt matter now does it?What is going to happen now."I asked defeated.I cant argue with that logic.
"When a person dies his good and bad deeds are counted and the person is either rewarded or punished by conclusion. Now as you can see you have such absurd amount of karma that you can chosee your afterlife."
"Can I reincarnate again."I asked hopefully.
"Not in that universe or its variants but yeah.Think as much as you want we have an eternity here. Now if you excuse me I have a Lord of the Rings extended marathon. And when you done just say 'I am done'.Bye."
And he dissapeared and left me alone in this room.Ok Now its time to think which universe do I want to live. All anime are off the chart I cant nailed to a planet after all these years of travel and I need a world where my tech is useful. So it leaves us with Marvel,DC,Doctor Who and Star Wars because I dont know any other that detailed.Doctor Who is off the chart too.I dont want to deal with timey wimey shit.Star Wars also erased.I dont want to risk corruption again. So it leaves me with Marvel and DC.I guess I will go with DC.They need me there more.
"Ok I am done."the moment I spoke He emerged again.
"You said you are done?"I nodded."Fantastic so what is your desicion."
"I want to reincarnate to DC Universe."
"DC?Good choice now with all your karma you can spend it."He said and pulled a calculator this time.Where the hect these are coming from.Nevermind.
"I can spend my karma?"
"Yes of course you can.Now I can give you 2 choises.1 I will make you a omnipotent god-like being but you cant leave your universe or 2 I can spend majority of you karma but you will be free. And only because DC is a medium universe."
Now thats a decision to make. The reasonal choice is obvious but I can feel my inner ork boyz scream otherwise. And I newer stated I am a rational being."I choose option 2."
