WHILE THE TWO WERE TALKING, Tyson Galloway returned to the room and said, with a small smile on the corner of his mouth:
— Gentlemen, I came to inform you of new presidential orders. President Kenan has requested your company during his trip this afternoon.
— That can't be! We are in the middle of this important investigation! — Floyd Kenagan exclaimed.
— He fears that there may be another attempted invasion or attack during his time in New York and considers it appropriate for you to be present to investigate — Tyson replied.
The two thought about it for a moment. Kenan Vaine's decision made sense, because if something new happened, the investigators would be present.
— I think it's interesting, although it hinders our case here — Greg said.
"That makes sense," Kenagan added. "If there is anything new, it will certainly be where the President is, so we better accompany him."
— The flight will leave soon — Tyson continued. — The President will be leaving for the airport in a few hours. You must make sure that your belongings are with you. Miss Bates will be detained until the case is closed. Gentlemen, please follow me...
LED BY THE MAN IN CHARGE, Gregory Evans and Floyd Kenagan gathered their belongings and any evidence they could take with them and set off for the convoy that would take Kenan Vaine to the airport. Greg was very bothered by all the twists and turns he had been involved in. He thought about the sad Allison Bates.
What, or who, had done this to her?
