TREMENDOUS, HE THROWED HIS HANDS on the phone and quickly dialed the number of the White House security officer, Tyson Galloway, to call him.
— Good morning, Mr. President, are you up yet so...
— Quick, come here!
Confused by Kenan's impoliteness, he simply replied:
— I'm on my way.
In just over a minute, the officer was already there, with a full team of armed security guards. Kenan could not contain himself, so nervous about what had happened:
— Twenty-seven cameras in the hallways and thirty employees separated only for surveillance and still they can't stop a madman who puts the President's security at risk? Keep it up, Mr. Tyson, and soon I'll have someone else in charge of your job!
— Did something happen, sir? — the man asked, frightened and not understanding anything.
— Look at my computer!
The officer approached and saw the state of the device, completely damaged and impossible to investigate. He was clearly very nervous, but he didn't allow himself to touch the device. He answered cautiously:
— How did this happen?
— I turned it on to use it and a video started playing, with strange phrases, scenes of violence, until everything burned down...
— Do you consider the possibility that it was a virus?
— A simple computer virus wouldn't have messages directed at me! Nor do I believe it would be capable of completely burning down a computer in a few seconds, as happened.
— I will take the necessary measures, sir. Inspector General Floyd Kenagan will be arriving with his best investigator in a few minutes.
— Finally, some good news. Bring them here as soon as they arrive.
— Yes, sir.
