Kael's POV:
Coming back to the present, I growled, both my demon and werewolf senses on full alert. This man, whoever he was, his presence here was like a dark stain on my senses, almost making my skin crawl in disgust.
"It's been a long time, Kael. Aren't you going to give me a hug or something?" He said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
I narrowed my eyes at him, I could see him alright, his face, that face from the cellar all those years ago.
But I still couldn't quite remember who he was. All I knew was that this man, whoever he was, was dangerous.
"Who are you?" I growled, my voice low so as not to wake the Astrid. My werewolf was growling menacingly, urging me to attack, but my demon side, on the other hand, being the more manipulative and cunning side, held back.
He chuckled a dark, cold sound that would've probably sent shivers down my spine years ago.
