Tristan's POV:
As dawn finally broke, casting its usually honey-golden over our campsite, we dismantled our tents, preparing to continue our journey. Lucy's eyes met mine, a soft smile plastered on her face making me relax a little.
"Today, we enter the Asmunda forest," I announced, my voice low. "Be cautious and be sure to stay alert at all times."
Lucy nodded, the anticipation very obvious in her eyes. She looked way better than the day before, maybe because she'd slept peacefully last night.
Pulling out and back into the road, our senses heightened and on full alert and we finally entered the dense forest.
The forest's canopy overhead filtered with slight shadows, every rustle of leaves or snap of a twig leaving Lucy a little tense.
