Harry had a good memory, especially for tonight, such an important occasion. The stressful environment stimulated his brain to its full potential.
For a moment, he recalled the name and related details of the Green Arrow, which Anton had mentioned when he outlined his plan.
"We've already released Batman and Green Arrow novels and related comics. In addition, we're planning to develop a Batman game, as well as a TV series based on Arrow. The game is also in preparation..."
"Of course, right now, the most important thing is the movie. Through the movie, we can quickly leverage the popularity of a comic characters and achieve the desired effect. Therefore, Cyborg and Superman are the next key points for the DC brand!"
Harry could even recall Anton emphasizing the term "comic character."
It seemed as though Anton had foreseen this moment.
In other words, Anton was confident that the Green Arrow would break free from the confines of "comic characters" and enter the real world, just like Batman had.
"This..."
Harry's eyes widened as he thought of Batman and the Green Goblin, who was held captive somewhere by Batman—his father, Norman Osborne.
"Father..."
He was so excited that he couldn't help but stand up and stare at the monitor in front of him. He knew that tonight's battle was over!
Those "wolves" circling Osborne Company would be completely repelled tonight, all thanks to the assistance from Batman and his father.
"Great!!"
"Batman! Arrow! Father!"
Harry was filled with excitement, clenched his fists, took a deep breath, and waited to scream.
Though he hadn't won yet, he firmly believed victory was close at hand.
"Green Arrow?"
Cromwell looked dumbfounded. He hadn't read novels or comics, and he didn't even care much for entertainment. What he liked most was drinking.
In all his years, he'd never heard of a man named Green Arrow wearing a green suit.
It seemed this man didn't like having his name mispronounced.
Cromwell swallowed, fearing he might offend this mysterious helper.
"Sorry."
He hesitated and whispered, "I..."
"Forget it!"
The Arrow clone waved his hand. "Just remember, Hawkeye is my defeated opponent. I don't like being compared to someone I've already beaten."
'Defeated opponent?'
Cromwell's eyes widened, shock flooding his mind.
While he was unfamiliar with Green Arrow, he was not entirely ignorant of Hawkeye.
Though he didn't know much, he knew that Hawkeye was a formidable man—one who, with just a bow and arrow, had destroyed an entire armed force from a high vantage point.
Even with the terrain advantage, it was easy to imagine how terrifying Hawkeye was. But now, Green Arrow was claiming that Hawkeye was his defeated opponent?
"Dammit!"
Cromwell swallowed again, now fully aware that the man in the green suit was far more powerful than he had anticipated.
The remaining armed forces from Hammer Industries, who overheard the conversation, shared the same bewildered expression.
Of course, they were not in the mood to engage in any conversation with Cromwell or Arrow.
The positions of the two sides were completely contradictory, leaving no possibility for harmonious discussion.
Besides, before the other side even showed their face, they had already shot their leader dead, leaving nothing more to say.
"He has no arrows, shoot!"
Someone yelled, gritting their teeth as they pulled the trigger.
Boom!!
The first shot rang out. The muzzle erupted, and bullet shot through the air, aimed at Cromwell and the Arrow standing next to him.
At the same time, the Arrow clone had already observed and predicted the attack.
He moved quickly, reached a thug who had fallen to the ground, and drew the arrow from his body. He bent the bow and shot the arrow.
Whoosh!
The arrow left the string, and the blood-stained shaft once again entered a human body, piercing the heart of its target.
When the group saw this, the momentum they had built up quickly fizzled out.
They hastily retreated in unison, fearing that one wrong move would mean a swift death at the hands of the man in the green suit.
Slowly, they distanced themselves from the manor.
Seeing this, the Osborne armed team prepared to chase them down.
"Don't chase!"
Cromwell gritted his teeth and barked, "Let them go. There are enough casualties today! When Mr. Osborne returns, our losses today will be repaid tenfold!"
It was clear that the "Mr. Osborne" he was referring to was not Harry, but Norman Osborn.
Cromwell knew Norman's secrets well.
He knew the identity of the Green Goblin.
On the night Batman invaded, Cromwell had been responsible for the security of the manor. But before he could meet Batman, Batman had already taken the Lizard.
Moreover, the Green Goblin had not returned that night either—he, too, had been captured by Batman.
Cromwell also knew that Norman's transformation had been a result of the human body-enhancing potions developed by the Lizard.
So when the news that the Green Goblin had been taken by Batman arrived, he wasn't surprised.
Soon after, he met with Harry and told him the truth without reservation. Harry was shocked on the spot.
Immediately afterward, Harry rushed to the Daily Bugle and received confirmation from Anton.
Finally, Cromwell had learned from Harry the accurate details about Norman. He knew the Green Goblin would return sooner or later.
Thinking of this, he glanced at the man in front of him.
Green Arrow!
A thought flashed through Cromwell's mind as he turned to his companions and ordered, "However, you all go to the manor to patrol and prevent any further surprises!"
"Understood."
His companions nodded and moved outside the manor to finalize the details of this battle.
Meanwhile, others tended to the bodies of their fallen comrades, taking care of the wounded and cleaning up the battlefield.
Not many of them showed grief.
For the mercenaries in their private armed forces, every day must be treated as the last.
Cromwell sighed as he watched this.
He then turned to the Arrow clone: "Sir, no matter where you're from, someone wants to thank you in person."
"I'm coming!"
Harry's voice sounded beside them.
After the battle, he couldn't wait to appear before the two, his eyes fixed on the body of the Arrow clone.
"Are you Batman's companion?"
Although it was a question, his tone was certain.
Cromwell was surprised, but quickly accepted the fact.
If Green Arrow wasn't Batman's companion or subordinate, it would be impossible for him to defeat the "Hawkeye" he knew.
After all, it could never be an ordinary character who could defeat Hawkeye.
"Hmm."
The Arrow clone gave an affirmative answer.
"My father..."
Harry hesitated, then couldn't help but ask, "Is he almost healed?"
"Still early."
The Arrow clone shook his head. "You take care of your own business first. We won't get involved in Osborne's internal fighting, but Batman assured Norman that he will be responsible for your safety."
There was a pause. "If there is still danger in the future, you know where to find us."
After saying this, the Arrow clone didn't stay.
With a swift step, his body moved like a ghost, quickly disappearing into the darkness before anyone could react.
"I understand!"
Harry whispered to himself as he watched the Arrow clone leave. He took a deep breath and then turned to look at Cromwell Donald.
"Donald, the biggest crisis is over. Get ready! Cut off the thumbs of the enemy's bodies and bag them. Tomorrow, I will hold a board meeting in the name of the major shareholder!"
His face grew cold. "Tomorrow, it will be our turn to fight back!"
