_FIRST PERSON POV_
I was surprised and taken aback by the appearance of the interface. After examining the information displayed on the interface, I recognized that I felt a sense of excitement, which was a novel experience for me.
I was familiar with these types of system-based novels, as I had also read some stories where the main character is transported into a post-apocalyptic world and acquires resources and beauties.
Realizing the system task, I recognized that I was not transported to a different realm. I remained in my own world, but my objective was to control the world in order to receive a reward. I will be compensated for Controlling each city and country through a lottery system.
After examining the system's storage, I discovered the description of the zombie emperor bloodline. I realized that this bloodline would transform me into an unstoppable force in this world, with no one capable of stopping me. However, I'm uncertain about the full extent of my power after injecting this bloodline.
Could I single-handedly challenge an entire nation? Can I take on an army to rule the world? Can I truly become an emperor through this zombie empire system?
But then I realized that I was not strong enough to take on the world. If the world discovered me, they would surely hunt me down like a rat, making it difficult for me to survive. I needed to stay hidden and become stronger first.
Pushing those ideas out of my mind, I turned my attention to infusing the zombie lineage. I promptly inquired of the system about how I could inject the bloodline.
The system replied: "Host, you don't need to worry about the technical details. Simply provide me with the instructions you would like me to execute, and I will handle the entire process for you"
"Host, you just have to give instructions to the system and the system will inject the zombie emperor bloodline for you".
"The system recommends that the host find a private location before undergoing the blood transformation, as it will be a painful process, to avoid any disturbances. The system then asks the host to confirm whether they want to proceed with the bloodline transformation.
I looked at the advice and gritted my teeth as I said yes to the system because I didn't care about the pain. Comparing this pain to the pain that I have lived with my whole life that suffocating feeling of not having the hope to fulfill your dream is nothing."
Just as I uttered the word "yes," a surge of pain coursed through my body, as if I were being electrocuted and burned alive simultaneously. It felt like my blood was boiling, ready to erupt like a volcano, threatening to explode from my veins. The intensity was overwhelming, and I could feel myself slipping into unconsciousness. Despite my efforts to hold on, the pain consumed me, and I collapsed forward onto the floor, surrendering to the darkness of a coma.
"Ahh, it hurts like hell". I had no idea how long I had been unconscious. As I struggled to my feet, I sensed something was different—almost as if I had grown taller. A powerful force surged through me, electrifying every nerve and igniting an energy I had never felt before. It was both exhilarating and terrifying, awakening a strength within me that I didn't know I possessed.
I hurried into the bathroom and caught a glimpse of my reflection, and I was taken aback by what I saw. My skin had turned pale, snow-white, and my hair now flowed in shimmering silver. My facial features had changed so drastically that I felt like a completely different person. It struck me then: no one would recognize me now.
The reflection before me resembled a prince straight out of a Disney movie—tall at 6'2", with striking blue eyes and long, silver-white hair. I couldn't help but think that with this appearance, I could easily captivate anyone I met. It felt almost dangerous in its allure, like a charm that could be utterly irresistible.
Setting those thoughts aside, I focused on what to do next. My ID card would be useless; my appearance had changed so dramatically that even my parents wouldn't recognize me.
I had to navigate this new reality without drawing too much attention. If I needed to hide, I would at least need a new ID card and a passport. Now that I felt powerful, I realized that humans no longer posed a threat to me. I could shed the moral constraints that had always bound me and rise above those who had looked down on me. I didn't want to kill them; instead, I wanted them to understand that living could be a greater suffering than death. I would make them experience the same despair I had endured—a life stripped of hope. I would repay them for every time I had been hurt.
"System, can you quickly explain the abilities of the zombie emperor bloodline?" Michael asked, his curiosity ignited.
The System replied, "Host, once you inject the zombie bloodline, you will ascend to the status of the emperor of the undead. You'll gain the ability to create loyal undead minions that will obey your every command and perform any task you desire."
Michael's heart raced at the thought of wielding such immense power. The vision of commanding an army of devoted followers sparked a sense of purpose and ambition within him. He could reshape his world with these newfound abilities.
"How can I create an undead?" Michael asked, eager for guidance.
The System explained, "Host, any undead you create will retain their memories and will not become mere puppets. They will be dedicated to you at the level of their soul, making you their sole master.
Undead directly created by you will serve as your subordinates, and the System will keep track of them.
Your subordinates can also create their own undead, but those will resemble the zombies from movies and TV series in your world—driven solely by a hunger for human flesh. Nevertheless, they will still obey your commands and those of their creators."
The System continued, "You can create a subordinate by injecting your DNA into their body. Even a small scratch from you will instantly transform the target into your subordinate."
Yes, this is the subordinate that the system mentions. I can accomplish a lot by having a subordinate, but I must approach some influential people and make them my subordinate. However, I will only make a woman my direct subordinate because the mere idea of having your DNA in a male makes me want to vomit all over the place. It's completely repulsive. Michael pondered.
In order to prevent future plots or pittings against you by your own team members, you should have loyal subordinates.
"System, how strong am I now?" Michael inquired, eager for answers.
The System responded, "Host, your body remains human and can still be killed by bullets. However, the zombie bloodline has granted you an infinite lifespan."
Michael felt a wave of disappointment wash over him. "So I'm still vulnerable to anyone?" he sighed. But the prospect of living forever did ignite a spark of excitement within him.
"What can I do to enhance my defense?" he asked, determined to find ways to protect himself better.
The System reassured him, "Host, there's no need to feel disappointed. As you conquer cities, your body's defense and strength will increase rapidly."
"How many cities do I need to conquer to become bulletproof?" Michael asked, his excitement building.
"You only need to conquer one city to achieve bulletproof status," the System replied.
Michael's enthusiasm surged; the idea of gaining such power with just a single conquest was exhilarating.
I felt a rush of excitement as I listened to the System's explanation, but soon I realized that dangers still lurked, even if I confronted the city with my zombie army.
I needed to create a solid plan. I recalled the famous TV series The Walking Dead, where survivors built camps to endure the chaos while scavenging for supplies and fighting off zombies. That strategy could serve as a useful template for me as I plotted my next moves.
An idea suddenly struck me: why not create my own zombie army and establish a camp? By doing so, I could control the overall situation. I could blend in among the survivors, carefully planning my next moves while remaining hidden. This approach would make it easier to conquer cities and even countries.
After all, a world filled only with zombies would be dull. I wanted to witness the struggles of others as they fought to survive against my army while I enjoyed my life surrounded by beauty. The thought of orchestrating such chaos thrilled me.
"And there are no restrictions on my actions from the System," I thought, realizing I could manipulate the world however I wanted.
"System, open my panel," Michael commanded, eager to explore the options available to him.

Michael examined the panel, noting the empty slots for subordinates. The potential to fill those slots with loyal followers excited him, and he felt a surge of ambition. Conquering cities would be the key to building his army and expanding his influence.
As I reviewed the System's tasks, I realized that my plan of playing both the devil and the savior could be incredibly effective. The thought of manipulating the situation to my advantage while keeping others guessing thrilled me. It would add an intriguing layer to my strategy, allowing me to enjoy the chaos while appearing to offer help when it suited my goals. This dual role would not only enhance my control but also make the whole experience far more interesting.
To complete my tasks and ensure my safety, I realized I needed to gain control over the nuclear arsenals of every country. With that kind of power, I could dictate the fate of the entire world, wielding life and death in my hands. The thought of having such ultimate authority sent a thrill through me. I would become not just a player in this game, but the game master, able to shape the world as I saw fit.
But first, I needed to create a new ID card I could use. To do that, I would need a subordinate with access to government files. The question was, where could I find such a subordinate?
I pondered potential candidates: perhaps a government official or someone working in a key position within an organization. I'd need to strategically identify someone who could be turned into my loyal follower, providing me with the access I required to manipulate the system to my advantage.
With that thought in mind, I quickly opened my laptop and began searching for beautiful women in positions of power within the government. I needed someone who could easily be turned into my subordinate, someone with the influence to help me resolve my ID issue without raising any suspicion. The combination of beauty and power would make my approach even more effective, allowing me to charm and manipulate her into joining my cause.
