I closed the cabin I was in, and locked it from the inside. Then I looked at the vial, filled with the bright green serum in my hand.
My heart beat quickened as I knew there was no turning back. From the name of the system reward. GAE. May be it would be something that would help me to neutralize this serum or something. Well at least I hope that's the thing.
The reason why I was scared was because I don't know how long it would take for the serum to take effect, and would the GAE be able to turn me back once I turn into a scaly bastard?

"Fk it. ", I muttered and gulped down the serum from the vial. It had the taste of rotten eggs. It's taste was too strong that I couldn't help but cough, and almost threw up. But somehow it was just making me feel that, but I didn't throw up.

I straightened up, still coughing as I thought what might happen next. I raised my hand to look for any changes.
I remained standing for a minute. Nothing.
Two minutes. Nothing.
Three minutes. Nothing.
"Uhh.. System? Is this serum a damp squib? I don't see my hands turning scaly or green. "

"Ahhh... ", I couldn't help but scream, as a sharp pain shot up my spine.
Then instead of screaming, I grit my teeth as my face became red.
The pain was excruciating. It was as if someone was breaking my skin from inside. Like chiselling away my skin from the inside.
Hours passed on, I didn't pass out, nor did the pain go away.
Then finally, the pain stopped.
I collapsed on top of the toilet seat.
Sweat still dripping from my forehead.
"The fk was that?", I asked.

'Inventory?', I thought questioningly. I mean would it really be something like that?
Suddenly a blue box lit up in front of me. I thought of touching it, and it opened. And inside were many slots. But only two of them were filled.
One was a red vial? Well it was kinda mixture of vial and a syringe. And the second was a box with the cover of red and black mix.
"Huh. Kind of like the Spiderman costume. ", I muttered.

I thought of touching the red vial. A window opened in front of me. It was the details of the thing I 'touched' on.

I quickly removed my shirt. Even my chest had become scaly. Thankfully my shirt hadn't ripped off. Or else it would have been hard for me. Roaming in the school without shirt ain't something that would go easy for me.
I saw a white mark on my arm. I quickly stabbed my arm with the serum. The scales made it hard for me to inject, but just a little strength and I had done the job.
I felt a bit warmth spreading from my arm to my chest. I couldn't help but groan. It wasn't due to pain or something. It was because of I don't know pleasure?
Not that kind of pleasure. I meant the kind where you sit on a toilet seat, but it is warm. Like those japanese automatic toilets. Not the other ones, which are cold to sit in winters.
Not even a minute might have passed, I found that the scales on my hands were shedding. That's weird.
"System? Is this supposed to happen?", I asked in my mind.

The entire scales on me were gone, and I was back to how I was. Not exactly back to how I was. I had grown a bit taller. Not noticeable from far. But it would be seen from near. And clear abdominal muscles wasn't something I had before. So yeah. I got a what model like body?
"Well. Beneficial for a newbie like me. "

I imagined to open the Newbie rewards box. And it opened, with a kind of fireworks like thing going around it and exploding into a spider shape.
What is this? A fking new year show?
I was shocked.. The reward was awesome. Damn.
