Chapter 95 - Chapter 95: Three Soul Locking Nails

  "Boss, be careful!"

Tiger was startled and hurriedly followed by jumping down as well.

"A Long." Chen Jinfah gave his bodyguard a glance, and the bodyguard swiftly jumped into the pit after him.

Lu Fei circled around the two cement pillars several times, then suddenly stopped in front of one pillar. After observing it for a moment, he turned his head and looked back at the place where the small coffin had been dug out.

"Brother Fa, there's something wrong with this pillar; we need to demolish it!"

  "Why?" Chen Jinfah asked, surprised.

"If I'm not mistaken, there is another identical small coffin inside."

  "What?"

  "There's another small coffin?!"

Chen Jinfah was quite surprised, staring wide-eyed at Lu Fei in the pit.

"Manager Lu, you didn't see it wrong, did you?"

Lu Fei smiled slightly and said, "If Brother Fa finds someone to remove the post, he will naturally know if I made a mistake." He was clearly very confident in his guess.

The bodyguard, A Long, went over to look at the old post but couldn't see anything. He shook his head at Chen Jinfah.

After hesitating for a while, Chen Jinfah gritted his teeth and said, "Remove it! Out with the old and in with the new. As long as the construction can start smoothly, these are all minor issues!"

"A Long, go and call a few people, and get it removed right away!"

With his impatient nature, he couldn't wait even for a moment.

"Yes," A Long replied, grabbing the protruding part of the large pit with his strong arms and, with a powerful push of his feet, agilely leapt out of the pit.

Lithe and powerful like a leopard.

"This guy has some skills," Hu Zi narrowed his eyes, seeing his moves.

The bodyguard was clearly well-trained, not just for show; he had a solemn presence and a cold gaze.

Hu Zi also leaped out of the pit with ease and reached out to pull Lu Fei up.

"Those workers were scared out of their wits, it might take a while to find someone. Has Manager Lu eaten? How about we grab a bite to eat together?"

Chen Jinfa was parched and had been in a state of panic all night, not even managing to have breakfast.

"Then I'll join Brother Fa for a meal."

  Lu Fei gladly agreed.

He and Hu Zi had only hastily grabbed a couple of bites when they set out, far from being full.

The three of them left the construction site and found a nearby breakfast place.

Chen Jinfɑ is quite straightforward, ordering a lot of food.

"Go ahead, the two of you, don't be polite, take your time eating!"

Saying this, he picked up his chopsticks and started eating heartily.

It seemed he was really hungry.

With free food, Huzi went all out and started gorging himself.

Lu Fei hurriedly gave him a signal, telling him to hold back a bit, so as not to embarrass the Sinisterium Pawnshop.

"Haha! No problem, martial artists just have bigger appetites!" Chen Jinfɑ didn't mind at all, instead, he laughed loudly: "My Ah Long is the same, one meal for him is like three meals for others!"

"Eating more gives you more strength, fighting ten people is no problem!"

"There were several times when I was cornered by my opponents' men, and it was Ah Long who saved me. I swore then that he is my blood brother! If I have a bite to eat, I will never let him go hungry!"

Mentioning his bodyguard, Chen Jinfɑ was very proud.

"Brother Fa is truly a man of deep affection and loyalty!" Lu Fei praised him naturally.

"Your brother is also not bad, I can tell he's a martial artist." Chen Jinfa was quite flattered by the praise, glancing at Hu Zi.

"But, compared to my Ah Long, he still falls a bit short."

Hu Zi immediately felt a bit不服气, and said boldly, "We haven't even compared yet, so it's not certain."

"How about finding time to compare with my Ah Long?" Chen Jinfa laughed.

  "Sure thing."

After eating, they chatted for a while longer.

Chen Jinfa received a call from Ah Long, telling him that the workers had been found to dismantle the piles.

"Good, good, wait for me, I'll be right back!"

Chen Jinfa paid the bill immediately and rushed back to the construction site with Lu Fei and Hu Zi in tow.

As soon as he entered the fence, he saw several workers wearing safety helmets pushing machines towards the piles.

"Big Brother, I had to double their wages to get them to come over," A-Long reported.

"It's no big deal, these are small expenses. As long as we can get things done quickly," Chen Jinfɑ said with a wave of his hand, not minding at all.

Then, the workers set up the machines and waited for Chen Jinfɑ's orders.

Chen Jinfɑ looked at Lu Fei, a hint of worry in his eyes, and said, "If there really is something wrong with this pile, would it be okay to just demolish it directly? There won't be any problems, right?"

"Put this on; there won't be any issues." Lu Fei thought for a moment, then took out a Ghost-Subduing Character and had Hu Zi go down to stick it on top of the concrete pile.

"Shopkeeper Lu, what is this? I've never seen such characters before; it looks like some kind of occult symbol," Chen Jinfɑ squinted his eyes, but still couldn't understand what it was.

Lu Fei smiled faintly and replied, "This is called a Ghost-Subduing Character. It is specifically used to suppress ghosts and evil spirits. It's an amulet that our Sinisterium Pawnshop uses exclusively."

"Interesting!" Chen Jinfɑ raised an eyebrow and lifted his hand to signal the work to begin.

He and Lu Fei stood by the edge of the pit, watching the workers operate.

The two bodyguards stood behind their respective bosses, both with their arms crossed, showing off their sturdy muscles.

There was a sense of covert competition between them.

  Thump thump thump!

The workers started their work, the roar of the machines was deafening.

  Chunks and dust flew everywhere.

Lu Fei and the others couldn't help but take a few steps back.

About half an hour later, the sound of the machines suddenly stopped.

Through the smoke and dust, a worker's voice could be heard.

  "There's something!"

Chen Jinfɑ hurried forward a couple of steps and asked, "What is it? Is it a coffin?"

"It should be bright red, like it's smeared with blood!"

The dust slowly settled, revealing the terrified faces of the workers.

Chen Jinfah craned his neck to look at the concrete pile.

He found that after removing a part, a small piece of red wood was indeed exposed.

The color and material were exactly the same as the small coffin on the desk!

  "Wow! There really is one!"

Chen Jinfah's face was filled with shock as he looked at Lu Fei incredulously.

"Mr. Lu, how did you see this? What exactly is this thing?"

"Let's dig it out first; once I've verified it, I'll definitely let Brother Chen know," Lu Fei said seriously. "Please, all of you, be careful not to damage this small coffin."

"Did you hear that? You guys, keep digging! Get it out in one piece!" Chen Jinfah urgently ordered the workers.

"Boss Chen, this won't do, it's unclean! If we continue to dismantle it, I'm afraid..."The workers looked at each other, all shrinking back in fear, not daring to move a muscle.

"What are you afraid of?" Chen Jinfah said loudly, "I've invited a master from Sinisterium Pawnshop, and placed talismans to ward off evil. I guarantee your safety!"

The workers still did not make a move.

Chen Jinfah gritted his teeth and said, "I'll add money! I'll double the pay!"

With substantial rewards, there will always be brave men.

Only then did the workers clench their teeth, start up the machinery, and continue dismantling it.

After a fraught period of hard work, the small coffin was finally safely removed.

The workers turned off the machinery, their faces covered in dust and sweat, full of relief.

They placed the small coffin on the ground, not daring to touch it further.

"Boss Chen, is this good now?"

Seeing how smooth things were going, Chen Jinfat's trust in Lu Fei increased even more. He looked at Lu Fei with a consultative gaze and asked, "Manager Lu, is this good now?"

"Alright, let the brothers disperse. I will go and fetch the coffin." As Lu Fei spoke, he put on his gloves again, jumped into the pit, and picked up the small coffin.

The small coffin was heavy and very cold.

On the front of the coffin lid, three nail heads were arranged vertically, and it was obvious that the nails had been driven deeply into the coffin.

Lu Fei's eyebrows twitched as he saw this.

"Three soul-locking nails, such a ruthless method!"
