The Beginning of Darkness
There he was, the worst king to ever exist in human history. They even called him Lord of Ruin. No one stood a chance against him. He wasn't just strong but also unbelievably smart. No matter who, anyone who even just tried to stand in his way died immediately. He controlled and ruled a whole country with corruption.
He killed his own family—his parents and siblings.
Not only that, he burned many villages down.
It was just a matter of time until the soldiers went against him, but even then, he managed to kill every single one of them.
Every single time, before he killed anyone, they would beg for mercy. But this didn't stop him; it just made him want more.
Many years later, it was just him alone, not a single soul in his country, not a single life—nothing. He had no one to rule over.
Just at that moment, he closed his eyes, thinking he was the strongest to ever live. An old man appeared in front of him. In just a split second, the Lord of Ruin became the hunted one. The old man erased his memory, made him younger, and then made his one wish.
"I, the one who mastered everything, wish for this Lord of Ruin monster to suffer all his life long."
The wish didn't happen.
"Oh, right. I can't use the wish to kill or make anyone suffer."
"Then I wish to become even stronger."
Finally, I did it. I saved our world from this ugly monster. It was just a matter of time before he attacked our country next because a monster like him will never be satisfied. He will always want more.
I will make you suffer until the last bit of you.

An old man defeated me...
What's this?
My life flashed in front of my eyes. How did I become the worst human to ever exist?

Velaries Rotosa—that's my name. I was born into a royal family. My family was very rich, but I had many siblings, and I wasn't noticed a lot. To my parents, I was just another kid—nothing special. Even when they wanted something from me, they used the maids to call me. They never spoke to me.
The only one in my family who was noticed was my oldest sibling. We were seven kids—four boys and three girls. Only Evador was loved by my family because he was next in line to rule our country. The one to rule the country wasn't chosen based on who was the smartest or strongest; it was just the oldest of the royal family children.
Every time I tried to speak to Evador, he would ignore me. Not just him, but every single one of my siblings. I wasn't the youngest among them, but even my younger siblings didn't care about being respectful to me.
I tried many times to run away from our castle, but they would always bring me back. They didn't care about me, but they cared about me being there—just because they didn't want our citizens to know they had a child who escaped home.
When I was 13 years old, I went to our library. It was the only place I felt good being in. As always, I would pick a random book and read some pages. The books I read were about wars and how to become a strong ruler, one whom everyone would respect.
Huh… what is that?
It was a black book, untitled.
I took the book and opened it.
Black pages…
No words, not even letters.
How can I read something that doesn't have words? I thought.
They wouldn't put just any random book in a royal family castle. There must be some secret behind this book.
For three years straight, I tried everything I could think of to read the book. I have a feeling this book probably has invisible letters.
It was a very dark night when I was just about to give up. A strong light appeared in the library, making me close my eyes. But for a second, I saw them—finally, the letters.
I had no idea what the light was, but I finally knew how to read the book.
All I had to do was be in a dark room and shine a light on the book's pages.
I started reading it.
The untitled book explained how to use magic, and even how to know if you could use magic or not.
I did as the book said, and after one year, when I was 17 years old, I finally could use a special power. It was the strongest magic, as the book said.

Location: Royal Family Castle
On a bright morning.
"Mom, Dad, good morning."
They didn't answer.
"Hey, maids, come take this kid out of our room," my father said.
The maids came to take me out.
"Everyone stay still," I said, using my magic.
They couldn't believe what they saw.
"What are you doing, kid?" For the first time, my father spoke to me.
"Now you speak to me, huh?" I said, then blew the maid's body apart from the inside.
"Ahh!" my parents screamed, begging me to stop.
"Please stop! What are you doing, kid?" my mother screamed in a terrified voice.
"Do you even know my name?"
They looked at each other, trying to remember.
"I can't believe this. You don't even know your son's name?"
"I will show you both. I will make you both suffer."
I left their room and ran to Evador.
"What are you doing? You need to knock before entering my room," he said.
"You want me to knock, huh? Alright, older brother."
I used my magic again and severed his head from his body. Then I took his head with both my hands while his eyes were still moving.
I knocked on the door with it.
"So, brother, was that good?"
His eyes froze. His room was filled with blood.
I didn't understand why, but my body was shaking. I felt powerful. It was amazing.
I slaughtered my siblings one by one, gathered their heads, and threw them in front of my parents. Then, I ended it by killing my mother and father.
They begged me to stop, but this only made me want to kill them more.
Finally, it was quiet.
But something was missing. I counted the heads of my siblings.
Just four. There were two missing.
They must have run away. But it didn't matter.

Some time passed…
The few people who helped my family with ruling made their deaths look like an accident and announced me as the new ruler.
They were terrified of being the next ones I would kill.
I was feared by them, and slowly, even feared by the citizens. Anyone who made a mistake was executed publicly.
I didn't let anything slide. No matter who stood in my way, died immediately.
