As soon as Elara cams back home she walks inside the kitchen and put the basket a side as she start to grab the pan and start cooking dinner. "Jacob!...JACOB!!" Elara calls out of her brother's name as her hands were busy.

"Yeah... you came sister?" Jacob came running with his little hat on his hands, as he saw Elara being busy in her work again.

After a while latter they all came in the dining room for the dinner.

As they all were eating in silence Elara's mother break the ice by saying. "I have heard there is an Gala in the palace tomorrow?"

Ekara eyes widin aa she stop chewing her food and look at her mother. "Yes, how do you know mother?"

Her mother smiled a little but before she speack, Jacob answer "oh we receive an envelope from an palace guard."

"So it was an palace guard." Elara murmur to herself, thinking of the situation then her mother take that same envelope out of her dress pocket and put it on the table.

She slide it slowly to Elara side with a soft smile and said, "I hope you will join us on this Gala Elara."

Elara look down to the envelope it had the same cosmos flowers design which she saw on the same envelope, which lily had earlier in her hands. And Elara realize that not only Mrs mathron, but her mother also wants her to go on that Gala.

"Yes we will on the party.... And it's in the palace yes, yes, yes!!!" Jacob excitedly speack.

But Elara face was unreadable, her expressions was like she is deep in thoughts. Elara mother notice it and she put her hand gently on Elara's hand to bring her back to present.

Elara blink twice as she looked at yer mother, and her mother smiled "will you come with us, my dear?" She asked softly.

But Elara hesitate before speaking "I don't think I should go mother, parties are not in my likings... Maybe I should just stay in home."

Her mother pats Elara's hand gently, her eyes filled with concern and a hint of disappointment. "My dear, the king's invitation is not something to be taken lightly. It's a chance for you to meet eligible young men. Besides, Jacob is too young to attend such events alone."

I sigh and look at Jacob then back to my mother "mother, he is only 10.... How can I go with him?"

Your mother leans back in her chair, her voice softening. "I thought you could take our mister mathron's daughter, lily, with you. She's around Jacob's age and quite fond of him. They can keep each other company. As for you, this could be your chance to find a suitable husband."

"its not Jacob mother..." I look down to my food. "I ...I don't want a husband, I am not an guest here who have to go back to my place one day, this is my family, 'you' are my family, this is my place isn't it?" I look back to my mother, finally speacking those words which i always feel.

Mother's expression turns solemn. "Child, you have dedicated your life to caring for us. But you deserve to have a life of your own. A husband, a family, a home to run. I couldn't bear the thought of you spending your entire life as a caregiver."

"I am not an caregiver," I speak "and I am not minding this it all .. I love you mother.... I always just want YOU to get recover, I only want us to get batter again in our life's, I don't need anyone else."

Tears well up in my mother's eyes as she reaches out to clutch my hand tightly. "Oh my brave, selfless daughter. Your devotion means everything to me. But I don't want you to sacrifice your own happiness for our sake." She glances at Jacob, who looks up from his food with innocent curiosity.

"Promise me you'll go to the Gala. For me. Please, Elara?" mother pleads, using Elara's full name, knowing it carries weight in her decisions. "And if you still feel the same after the Gala, I won't bring it up again."
