A boy skating around town in a skateboard he was around 13 years old he seemed bored out of his mind,this boy is Han-jae a indifferent and blunt child from the infamous Lee family he is the 3rd son, he doesn't have many friends growing up since people think he's a arrogant and spoiled kid since he was raised in a rich family and got whatever he wanted,
But...there is always a empty spot in his chest...his parents are always absent in his achievements never attended his recognition in school even when he graduated elementary school and primary,his "friends" often use him to get what they wanted or to get popular around school ...
Han-jae's POV
I woke up from my sleep i shifted to my back staring at the ceiling,i reached out to the side table next to my bed to get my phone,i checked the date today , November 1st 2024 7:48 am. I sighed in relief to see the date November 1st...no school today suspended due to it was a holiday
"I wonder...if i actually worth something to them..." I spoke to myself my family didn't really made me feel loved neither cared ,i sighd shaking my thoughts away
"Geez why do i need to be so negative all the time,its sickening cringy" i sat down and got off bed,not bothering to fix my bed,i went to the bathroom my phone in hand i i stood infront of the mirror staring at my disheveled appearance i picked up my toothbrush and toothpaste and started brushing my teeth i put my phone down on the counter ,after i brushed my teeth i washed my face with soap and water
"Ow f*ck my eye!" I cursed getting bit of soap in my eyes and i immediately washed my face with water and wiped with a towel
I sighed and i went to my closet and picked out a olive-green knit sweater,a collar shirt,with black trousers finishing it up with black sneakers,i got dressed and checked myself in the mirror if it was good.
I went downstairs to get breakfast I could hear the chattering of my family I couldn't help but roll my eyes at their loudness in such a early hour ,i entered the kitchen and walked to the fridge opening it and grabbed a can of ice coffee and closed it inwent to the cointer of the kitchen and made a sandwich completely ignoring my family suddenly my mom spoke up the only person who cares about me after my older sister
"Han-jae dear is that all you're going to eat? Here take some bacon and eggs with you" my mom said handing me a lunch bow that har bacon and lettuce tomato sandwich cut into a triangle fruits and a cupcake for dessert,she knew i wasost definitely going to the park just to ignore them
I nodded in response to my mom taking the lunch box and i walked out of kitchen without a word i was in the front door i slipped on my shoes and took my skateboard the lunchbox still in hand i left the house skating to the park
A few minutes later i was skating arounf the park my lunchbox on the nearby bench suddenly i bumped into someone causing the both of us to fall
"O-oh! I-im sorry! Here ket me help you up!" I heard a panicked voice i opened my eyes seeing a boy near my age looking concerned extending his hand to me
"Are you ok!?" Said the boy in a panicked tone i nodded in reassurance taking his hand letting him help me stand up
"I'm fine,how about you you landed pretty hard as well" i asked letting go of his hand standing up properly and dusted my pants
"Im completely fine!" The boy said cheerfully i feel im the one getting tired of his enthusiasm
"Oh ok thats good to hear" i said sounding bored as usual
"Hey what's your name? Mine is Ha-joon Kim just call me Joon for short" Ha-joon said enthusiastically and i nodded
"I'm Han-jae Lee,call me Jae for short" i said in a tone that contrasted his
AUTHOR'S POV
the two boys talked for a while Ha-joon and Han-Jae seemed to get along well despite their contrasted personalities suddenly Ha-Joon asked Han-jae
"Jae do you want to be friends" Ha-Joon asker innocently tilting his head slightly giving the other boy puppy eyes
Han-jae found it amusing how the other was was acting childishly finding it oddly adorable
"Sure ...we're friends now" Han-jae said nodding with a barely visible smile on his lips but in someway Ha-joon was still able to spot the smile and grinned teasingly
"Huaaaaa! You look adorable with a smile Jae!" Ha-joon cooed poking the other boys cheek teasingly grinning stupidly Han-jae found Ha-joons antic quite sweet and cute
"Heyyyy! Stop it Joon!" Han-jae's smile grew wider giggling a little playfully smacking the other boy ,Ha-Joon grinned goofily pinching Han-jae's cheeks
Welll unfortunately they needed to go home already since they had cerfew
"Awww but it's so early to leave!" Ha-joon whined jokingly pouting crossing his arms like a little child that didn't got the toy they wanted Han-jae found Ha-joon's childishness both amysing and adorble
"Hahahaha.... Joon we need to go home let's met up again tomorrow ok?" Han-jae said laughing softly parting the other boys head Han-Joon pouted even more
"Fineee...but can we skate together tomorrow!" The boy asked Han-jae enthusiastically, excited for their next meet up
"Of course we can I'll bring snacks too" Han-jaen said with a barely visible smile on his lips
The other boys eyes lit up and eagerly nodded
"And then we can have a picnic in the nearby!" Han-joon said excitedly smiling so brightly that it could rival the sun itself
Han-jae nodded
"Of course good bye" Han-jae said waving goodbye and left
At night Han-jae was getting ready for bed and sleep,a few minutes later he was laying on his bed staring at the ceiling lost in thought and and sat down and picked up the book he was reading yesterday and opened the book where he had his book mark is sitted
Hours passed he didn't understand a thing in the book the only thing was in his mind was how Ha-Joon smiled at him,he blushed a little catching himself thinking of the other boy he closed the book putting it aside and turned off the lamp and laid down
"I think thats enough reading for today" he mumbled closing his eyes slowly drifting to sleep
The next day Han-jae did his normal morning routine and ate breakfast with his family which was a rare occurrence it seemed he wad in a good mood suddenly his sister spoke up named Hye-won
"You're in a good mood today huh? Got a girlfriend or something" his sister mocked despite the mocking there was no real heat behind it but Han-jae didn't like it so he didn't respond he quickly finished his food and stood up and left taking a few snacks and drinks in my backpack and left with my skateboard....
At the destination Ha-joon was already there patiently waiting for him
