When Alanis stepped back into the room, he was met with emptiness.
His gaze swept over the space before settling on the open balcony doors, where a lone figure stood. A slow smile curved his lips.
There she was, the cold wind moving a few dry strands of her wet hair as the cold air bit into her skin.
Alanis took his time walking toward her, savoring the moment.
Though Harlow had fought to keep her emotions hidden, she was losing the battle. She could no longer pretend she wasn't affected. Not like this. Not when he was deliberately seducing her.
Her grip on the railing tightened as she let out a shaky breath.
