In the room were the richest of the rich, the wealthiest of the wealthy, yet none felt satisfied with Frank and the Blackwood's collection.
While the guest that bidded items prepared to pay, the auctioneer suddenly broke the lull. "If you think we're done, then you must be mistaken," he announced with a practiced smile.
He gestured grandly toward the stage as attendants revealed the next collection. "These are the Blackwoods' latest creations, handcrafted diamonds by Harlow and Claudia Blackwood."
Harlow froze. The name announced was not what she had submitted. She had explicitly provided the name of her independent company, yet here was her work being presented as a joint effort with Claudia under the Blackwood name.
She turned to her father whose eyes were on the stage and then turned to her sister who smiled stylishly.
