Just when Harlow thought the universe was finally on her side, just when she thought one good thing would happen today, bad luck found its way to ruin her again.
She had kept all of the medical reports on the table. She had placed them right over there, so how did they get missing?
"Now what punishment do we have to give a mad woman who has killed a member of the family?" Lia viciously. It's almost like they have been planning her hurt since the beginning of time and couldn't wait to lay their hands on her.
"I suggest we kill her with our bare hands," George said.
"We cannot soil our hands with the blood of a murderer. Call the police, we need to arrest her." Claudia suggested calmly. She's been making suggestions since she arrived, putting things in their heads and then pretending like she's done nothing.
"Why don't you believe me, I would never kill my son," Harlow said already exhausted and weak from all of the beating. She didn't have the strength in her to fight all of these people at once. She regrets the day she fell for Alanis, the day she agreed to elevate and help his family.
Everything they are today was because of her, yet this is the thanks she gets. They have hurt her greatly...
How fast they forget how they begged and pleaded for her to be married to their son. She's the reason the Hamilton family became a household name. After everything she did for them.
Just as Harlow was lost in her thought, she recalled just signing the divorce papers and sending a few medical reports to Alanis early this morning, along with Alex's ashes.
"The proof..." Harlow hadn't completed her words when George hit her with the stick in his hands. "How dare you smile after everything you've done?" He yelled at her.
"Mother, taking her to the police is useless, especially since she's mad, I think we should take matters into our own hands. Let us teach this bitch a lesson." George suggested. Harlow could understand his hate for her, he had tried advances on her when she married Alanis, but she had declined his attempt. Since then, George has hated her.
"The proof is with Alanis, we just got divorced today. Why don't we wait for him to come." Harlow said cleaning the blood drop from her forehead. Lia glared at the girl, even till the end, she still spoke with so much grace and elegance. It is the reason she has hated Harlow from the start.
The bitch just wouldn't break no matter the humiliation. Each of them knew Harlow couldn't kill her son. In fact, they have wanted the little boy dead from the very beginning, but they didn't know how to go about it.
Harlow and her son have been getting Grace's from everyone in the family and they didn't like that.
"Another ploy to deceive us. We know your tricks woman." Lia barked.
"She's right," Claudia said immediately. She had heard the news from Alanis's assistant this morning, that was how she knew about the cremation and had to act fast. Alanis would be here anytime soon, she knew she had to act accordingly to get Harlow out of here and immediately.
But George wasn't having any of it, he didn't believe anything Hazel said. He immediately raised the stick to hit her again and she screamed, "No stop, my child, you'll hurt Alanis's child." Claudia who was smiling till this very moment froze, along with everyone that tried to hit her before.
Harlow was pregnant again? It couldn't be, the doctor said she lost the pregnancy.
"You bitch, I thought you said you divorced Alanis, now you want to use pregnancy to stay?" Lia asked. They all wanted Harlow out of the mansion, and now the bitch is pregnant again.
"Don't worry, Alanis doesn't know about it, just let leave, I'll never come back or disturb your family ever again," Harlow said, but Claudia had something else in mind. The news of Harlow's pregnancy angered her to her bones.
She's been trying for a child for Alanis for months now, yet for some reason she could not get pregnant. But even with the accident Harlow had, she still didn't lose her child.
"Harlow if I remember correctly you came to this mansion with nothing. But now..." Claudia asked staring at the bags of clothes Harlow had arranged in a corner.
"Don't worry, I'm not that cheap. I don't need anything from the Hamilton family, I can live on my own." Came her words. She felt dizzy because of the hit, but she kept herself from falling. She would need to visit the hospital because right now, her stomach was hurting so badly, but she had to pretend before these people that she was okay.
"You, you, search the bag. We need to be sure she didn't steal anything from us." Claudia instructed the servants at a corner.
"Why would I steal anything from the Hamilton family?" Harlow asked weakly.
The servants didn't waste any time, they started searching her bags, but all they could see were old clothes. There was not an ounce of jewelry in there, so the female servants brought out Garth's necklace just like Claudia had instructed, and dropped it in Harlow's bag without anyone noticing.
Harlow knew she had no jewels in the bag so she stood confidently. She knew the only jewel she had was the wedding ring Alanis had placed in her hands the day of their marriage and the little diamond necklace her father had gifted her on her 18th birthday.
She had been married to Alanis for 5 years, and in those five years, never once did he acknowledge her as his wife or gift her anything. Harlow didn't care about any of those things, she had tons of jewelry in her father's mansion, one of which Claudia was wearing now.
The first years of her marriage, she had carried the Hamilton household, she made sure they never lacked anything since they were broke at the time.
Back then, they had pretended to love her but after Alanis made it, they hated her for no reason. Harlow smiled. She would get her revenge on them one way or another.
"Ah ha, just like we thought. A crazy woman and a big thief." Lia said as the servant brought out the jewel.
"Isn't that the new diamond necklace you bought ten million just last week Mother?" Claudia asked.
"It is. Oh, you thief." Harlow was shocked. How did the necklace get inside her bag?
"I didn't steal your necklace, I haven't even been to your mansion in months."
"I'm pretty sure my necklace doesn't have wings to fly," Garth responded.
"It's very obvious the servants placed it in there to frame me."
