Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: A New Beginning

Two years had passed since Seren had said "yes" to Draven's heartfelt marriage proposal in the back office of that little bookstore. Today, they stood on the brink of a new chapter in their lives, surrounded by family, friends, and a sense of hope that had grown stronger with each passing day.

The sun was shining brightly on the beautifully decorated garden where the wedding ceremony was taking place. The air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers, and a gentle breeze whispered through the trees, creating a perfect setting for this long-awaited day. Seren stood at the altar, his heart pounding with anticipation and joy. He wore a simple yet elegant white suit, his hair styled neatly, and his eyes sparkled with happiness as he looked around at the people gathered to celebrate their love.

Olivier, now a bright and energetic nine-year-old, was dressed in a cute little tuxedo. His curly hair bounced with each step as he walked down the aisle, carefully tossing flower petals from a small basket. He had insisted on being the flower boy, a role he took very seriously. The crowd cooed and smiled at his enthusiasm, making him beam with pride.

As Seren watched his son's excitement, his heart swelled with love. It was incredible to think about how far they had come since those dark days of uncertainty and fear. Now, standing here, he knew he had made the right choice by letting Draven back into his life. Their journey had not been easy, but it had been worth every struggle, every tear, and every moment of doubt.

Then came the moment everyone had been waiting for. The soft strains of a piano filled the air, signaling the bride—or in this case, the groom. Draven appeared at the end of the aisle, looking every bit the confident and loving partner Seren had come to adore. He was dressed in a sharp black suit that contrasted perfectly with Seren's white one, his hair neatly combed, and his face lit up with a broad smile that mirrored Seren's own happiness.

As Draven walked down the aisle, his eyes never left Seren's. It was as if they were the only two people in the world, despite the crowd gathered to witness their union. When he finally reached the altar, Draven took Seren's hands in his, squeezing them gently as if to say, "I'm here, and I'm never letting go."

The officiant began to speak, but Seren barely heard the words. His focus was entirely on Draven—the love in his eyes, the warmth of his hands, and the promise of forever that hung between them like a silent vow. When the time came to exchange vows, Draven went first.

"Seren," he began, his voice filled with emotion, "from the moment I saw you in that college business class, I knew there was something special about you. I didn't know then what our future would hold, but I'm so grateful for every twist and turn that led us here today. You are my heart, my home, and my forever. I promise to love you, to cherish you, and to stand by you through whatever life brings our way."

Seren felt tears well up in his eyes, his heart swelling with love and gratitude. He took a deep breath and began his own vows.

"Draven," he said, his voice steady but filled with emotion, "you have been my light in the darkest of times, my strength when I felt weak, and my joy in moments of despair. I never imagined that someone like you would love someone like me, but here we are. I promise to love you without reservation, to support your dreams, and to build a life filled with laughter, love, and happiness. You are my everything, and I am so blessed to call you mine."

With the exchange of rings and the final words from the officiant, the moment everyone had been waiting for arrived. "You may now kiss," the officiant announced, a smile on her face.

Draven didn't hesitate. He pulled Seren into a deep, passionate kiss, sealing their vows with a promise of forever. The crowd erupted into cheers and applause, but for Seren and Draven, the world seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in a bubble of love and happiness.

After the ceremony, the celebration continued with a lively reception. There was dancing, laughter, and a few tears as friends and family shared stories and toasts in honor of the newlyweds. Seren watched as Olivier twirled around the dance floor, his smile as bright as the sun. He felt a wave of contentment wash over him. This was his family—beautiful, imperfect, and filled with love.

As the evening drew to a close, Draven and Seren found a quiet moment away from the crowd. They stood hand in hand, gazing out at the horizon where the sun was beginning to set. Draven turned to Seren, his eyes filled with love and curiosity.

"You've been glowing today, more than usual," Draven said softly, brushing a strand of hair from Seren's face. "Is there something you want to tell me?"

Seren bit his lip, a shy smile spreading across his face. "Actually, there is," he admitted, his heart racing with excitement and nervousness. "I wanted to wait until the right moment to tell you, and I think now is perfect."

Draven's eyes widened with anticipation. "What is it?" he asked, his voice barely a whisper.

Seren took a deep breath and placed a hand on his stomach, his smile widening. "I'm pregnant, Draven," he said softly. "We're going to have another baby."

For a moment, Draven was speechless, his eyes widening in surprise and joy. Then a radiant smile broke across his face, and he pulled Seren into a tight embrace, lifting him off the ground and spinning him around.

"Another baby!" Draven exclaimed, his voice filled with laughter and happiness. "This is the best wedding gift I could ever ask for!"

Seren laughed, his heart overflowing with love. "I thought it might be," he said, tears of joy streaming down his face.

As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Seren knew that this was just the beginning of their journey together. There would be challenges, surprises, and countless moments of joy and love. But with Draven by his side and their growing family, Seren felt ready to face whatever the future held.

Together, they watched the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky in brilliant shades of orange and pink—a perfect end to a perfect day, and the start of a beautiful new chapter in their lives.
