In the car, Natsu drove Lara towards the restaurant to fill her empty stomach.
Lara was thoroughly reading the contract agreement while Natsu focused on driving.
There was an unusual silence in the car, which made Natsu feel a bit strange.
He thought to himself: "It's so quiet with her. It's usually noisy and irritating. But why do I bother? It's nice and peaceful, but strange."
Lara finished reading the agreement and stretched her arms. "Are we there yet? After reading this, I'm feeling even hungrier," she complained.
Natsu replied, "Just five more minutes. So, is everything alright in the agreement?"
Lara: "Yeah, it's all okay. Nothing seems off.
""Sure?," Natsu muttered.
Lara, her eyes dreamy, said, "My dream is coming true. That's it. It's so good when you finally get what you've worked for. You probably think I don't feel that excited, but I do. I'm just very happy, and when I'm very happy, I usually stay quiet. It's pretty contrasting to what I'm usually like."
Natsu, surprised by her revelation, didn't know how to respond. He simply nodded, his mind racing. He had never seen this side of Lara before. She was usually so bubbly and energetic, but now, there was a quiet intensity about her.
Natsu stopped the car in front of the restaurant.
"Here it is," he announced.
Lara stepped out of the car. "You're not coming in?" she asked, a pout forming on her lips.
"Why are you asking if you already know the answer?" Natsu replied, his tone dry.
"The party's on me. Consider it a little treat from me. Now come out or my happy mood will get ruined," she insisted.
Natsu, not wanting to ruin her moment, stepped out of the car.
"That's like a good boy," Lara said, patting his head.
Natsu swatted her hand away, annoyed. "Don't ever do that again," he warned.
Lara pouted. "Always so grumpy," she muttered. "Well, well, let's not ruin the mood. Follow me," she said, marching towards the restaurant.
Natsu sighed. "I really don't know what's more annoying, her quietness or this," he thought to himself as he followed her.
