–Well, he was part of it.
– Can you just tell us why you're an assasin?
– Shut the fuck up and listen.
Sebastian looks at the man, he struggles to get up.
– Let me help you, mr. Sebastian.!
The man said while grabing Sebastian by the arm and pulling him up.
– Than you, sir Gabriel.
– Why call me sir? I am just a child of a normal blacksmith.
Sebastian slaps Gabriel in the face.
– Didn't you say your dad died in battle? He died like a warrior, so, he's a warrior for all i care.
–He shouldn't have died like that. He was no warrior, he was a loving father, he should have left with all of us, he should have left with my family, when I got attacked!
– Sit down, you can vent to me.
– There is no time, the duke left with the royal family, didn't he?
– Oh yeah! Lets go!
Both of them run to their horses, but Sebastian's horse is dead
– Argh, my damn brother, he did this.
– Take my horse, i'll run behind you.
– There is no way for you to keep up. Just go to your family, i got this.
– Mr. Sebastian, get on the damn horse and go, i'll ve right behind you, don't go any slower than the horse can gom
Sebastian sigh's and get's up on the horse, he plans to outrun the man, andgo there by himself.
Sebastian starts riding as fast as the horse can, he looks back to see if Gabriel stop running, to his amazement, he see's Gabriel running behind him,there is ni way that he was able to run almost as fast as a horse.
–ugh, i guess it's ok if he comes with me then.
Sebastian said to himself while turning back around.
After about 10 minutes of riding Gabriel yell's at Sebastian to stop.
–uhh, i'll stop.
Sebastian jumps off his horse and walks towards Gabriel, who is looking through some bushes.
– What happend?
– It smells like blood.
– It's probably some animal.
Gabriel's face changes, he turns back to Sebastian, and tells him to look in the bushes.
– What? Damn!
There, in the bushes were two body bags.
– Open them.
– I think we both know what's inside.
– Just do it.
– Well, if you want to.
Gabriel kneels down and opens the upper portion of the bags.
There, they see Lia's parents, they are both dead, her dad's throat is slit, he died a slow death, his trachea was cut into, he died by choking. Her mom on the other hand, her neck was broken, her head was turned 180°.
– We were too slow. I should've came here faster.
– It's not your fault, i shouldn't have played with them, if i killed them when they attacked me, all would be ok, now.
– It happens, Lets go. we should atleast kill your brother.
– Yeah, ok.
Sebastian gets back on the horse and ride's to the castle.
– Hey, wouldn't they be going on a different path to the castle? If we go back on the normal path we would get there before them.
Sebastian stops and thinks about what Gabriel said, he might be right.
– Hm, look, you go back the way we went, i'll take the other way, that way atleast one of us will be there in time.
– Understood!
Said Gabriel before turining back around and running full speed to the castle.
– will i get there in time? If i go through the woods, and not on the path, i will make it in time.
Sebastian turns the horse right, and they start riding through the trees, the forest is full of animals and other dangers such as random holes in the ground, most measuring to 1 metre in depth, and half a metre in width.
They were made by a creature that lives in the forests in the south, they look like bug beavers, but they don't have the buck teeth, they are black and have yellow eyes, and claws as big as two of Sebastian's fists.
As Sebastian is riding through the forest with his sword in hand, slicing dumb animals who thought that Sebastian would be good prey.
In the dark, Sebastian could see yellow eyes looking at him from the shadows, they were making a plan, Sebastian couldn't stop to kill every one of those creatures, it would take too much time. After about 15 minutes of riding and killing, a black blur dashes next to Sebastian, the horse fell down, the horse's side was cut into.
– Damn it! Fucking beavers.
Out of the shadows, came four of those beaver like creatures.
Each were about 1,50 metres tall, their claws, white, one of them has blood on his right claw.
All the "beavers" jump towards Sebastian, with incredible speed, Sebastian managed to block a slash from the one in the middle, but the others got a hit on him. Sebastian had got slashed on the arms, his grip got worse, the pain he felt was weird, it wasn't a normal slash from a sword, it was a jagged cut, the "beavers" had pieces of his flesh on their claws. They were each as strong as a normal man. At his state in that moment, he couldn't beat 3 men, he couldn't even think about fighting these creatures.
– Damn, if i hasn't used it in that fight. C'mon, i can do it, i won't let these damn animals kill me!
–Stop!
– what now?
– What was his ability?
– You serious? It doesn't matter, i was explaining how i got to be an assasin.
– I care more about the ability…
– ..... Ok, i'll tell you. He didn't hace an ability, he had a curse, just like Nate.
– What?
– Yeah, he got stronger the more pain and anger he felt, but it had a drawback, the more he uses it, the more he gets dizzy, like you when you used engine for the first time.
– Ok, then why doesn't Nate get dizzy?
– His curse is passive, uncle Sebastian could use his curse when he wanted, Nate can't stop it because Nate's curse is being faster and stronger, but he resembles Lucifer.
– That's why they called me a devil?
– That's dumb, Lucifer is a fallen angel, he is different from a devil.
– Can ya'll shut up? I'm tryna listen to mom.
Said the youngest sister, Emilly.
– ok, i'll continue.
Sebastian tried using his curse, it would take a toll on him to use it, but it is the only way. The forest becomes colder, Sebastian starts smiling.
– You're dead. Said Sebastian in a calm voice.
Sebastian grabs the "beaver" whose attack he blocked, and throws him over his shoulder, Sebastian grips his sword with all his strength a d cuts off the "beaver's" head, the last "beaver" tried to run away, byt Sebastian threw his sword and hit him right in the back, the "beaver" fell down with an ugly cry of pain.
The " beaver" that he threw over his shoulder, tried to hide in some bushes, but unfortunatly for him, Sebastian broke off a branch from a tree and threw it directly in it's eye, killing it.
Sebastian grabs his sword from the dead "beaver" and starts marching towards the horse, he needed to see if the horse can be saved, unfortunatly it was already dead.
He starts running towards the castle, it took him 30 minutes to get there.
He starts looking for Gabriel, hopefully he got them.
Sebastian ends up at mrs. Smith's inn, there he see's Gabriel with his family, and Lia playing with mrs. Simth.
– Hey, mr. Gabriel, how did it go?
Gabriel looks back at him with a sad expresion.
– Bad, it is bad, the whole kingdom is looking for ms. Lia, the knights want all of us dead, and this is the only safe place for us.
– I'll help you and your family run away, me and Lia will also leave afterwards.
– And after that, i was trained by some friend of my uncle, and you father left to this kingdom with his family.
– That's all? You dragged it so much for this?
– It wasn't that long of a story.
– It's been 30 minutes…
