"Crackling"

Electricity in the form of a viscous liquid slithered into the hammer through his fingers.

The Gloom stalker was fast, but in his eyes its movements were in slow motion. His spirit received data for every possible ways of it attacks as his mind locked into one of them.

The claws of the monster tore through the air aiming for his throat.

Noah took a step back, pulled the hammer above his head and brought it crashing down.

The impact reverberated through the dungeon path with a sickening sound of a skull cracking.

-700

[Health points: 200/900]

Noah followed his attack without stopping. Instantly lunging to the heavily injured monster, his hammer crashes down again, this time crushing its head like a watermelon.

Blood scattered around some falling on his face, but Noah had an excited expression staring at the crystal ball floating where the body of the monster disappeared.

[Essense ballx1: Exp 15]

He stretched his hand to touch the ball prompting it to pour into his body. A cool sensation flowed through his veins, storing at the essense core in his spirit.

He had to cultivate this stored essence for it to stabilise in his core. Noah glanced ahead with an excited glint.

The cavern sprawled ahead with countless paths, each carrying dangers of its own. However, Noah had no fear.

He was sure that with his current strength, monsters on the first floor posed no danger to him.

With renewed confidence, he started to explore the cavern. Time to time, he met Gloom Stalkers, but every time he became the hunter while they became the prey.

Noah fought in the cavern for an hour, storing a huge amount of essence that would allow him to at least reach the middle stage of tier 1.

[Killed a ...]

[....15 exp]

However, he wasn't satisfied. Sure, gaining exp quickly and easily is a good thing. But Noah was somewhat bored with the lack of excitement in his fighting.

'It is too easy…' he lamented, killing another sneaking Gloom Stalker. He gazed ahead, sensing another one approaching.

'Again…'

Another hour passed by. This time Noah stored enough essence for him to breakthrough to tier 2.

He was halfway to the safe point of floor 1. He already heard the sound of water, which was the center point of this floor.

'I am going to clear floor 1. But why do I feel this is so easy?' Doubts started to form in his mind. As per the reviews on the network, even clearing floor 1 was arduous, some even forced to use their recall tokens.

However, as per his experience until now, everything about this dungeon seemed to be exaggerated.

Noah stopped his movements. The end of the cavern was before him. Yet he felt something amiss.

It was like he forgot something, and that thing was so important.

'What was that?'

Suddenly he heard sounds of footsteps coming from ahead. Then from his right and from his left. Subsequently, more and more footsteps started to surround him.

And so Noah remembered what he had forgotten. A crucial piece of information about Gloom Stalkers.

They were pack monsters, meaning they hunt in packs. So….

"GROWL!" a terrifying scream reverberated in his eardrums, making them bleed.

His eyes locked with a large pair of yellow orbs that held an enormous amount of anger.

[Mini boss]

[Gloom stalker king]

[Tier 2]

[Health points: 30000]

'So that's it…'

The enraged pair of the eyes had not only contained bloodlust but deep with in them Noah saw a calculative glint and satisfaction.

It was kind of an expression one show when all of his plan moved in the direction he controlled.

Something snapped inside Noah.

The fights he experienced until now, they all were his test. Test for what? And by whom?

A test to gauge his strength. By the monster standing before him. No wonder….

Noah glanced around the appearances of the monsters surrounded him. They felt different…

Almost like entirely different creatures.

Twice as size than the monsters he killed. Sharp claws that shined in golden hue, canines that curved at end like a sharpened sword.

Eyes that hid almost human like expressions.

"So the monsters before….was just runts in the group?" It was not a doubt but a statement.

He saw the mini boss growling at him, he felt tremors in the ground and above his head a dark shadow flashed.

And so it began…..

All the time he wasn't a hunter. He was just a pawn, thinking himself as a hunter while an apex predator controlled his movements with a thread.

It was a mind opening failure of him. A simple warning of the world….

Modrich said that, 'who are hunters? They aren't those who searching for a prey. They were whom the prey searching for to die.'

A smile of understanding flashes through his face. With it the shackle he felt stopping him from fully controlling his bloodline seemed to broke.

And so he changed...

The birth of a predator who hunted a hunter…no….the birth of a predator who searched by prey's.

"Thundrith…it's the time…"

A huge amount of blue viscous liquid rushed out of his body. The mini boss watched as the stupid human prey becoming a mummified corpse then… like a new sprout growing in a withered tree, his body started to change.

That once mummified corpse now stood 7 meter tall.

A huge shadow of a grotesque monster appeared behind him with its mouth opened wide.

Then the monster bit down, swallowing the human prey it hunted down with a gulp.

"Rooooor…"

And so it become angry….

But….
