Adrian leisurely made his way towards the center of the city in search of a medium sized inn. He decided not to sell his good to the inn he was currently staying at. Firstly, he didn't want to sell it to a place that was familiar with him. If he sold it to them, they could start having some ideas towards him and his family.
Also, his current in was located in the outskirts of the city near the city gates. Even though it was also considered a mid sized inn, they were not comparable to those located in the heart of the city. They might only offer him a low price because of their lack of clientele. After all, purchasing meals made of rank 3 beasts signifies that your pockets were deep. Ordinary cultivatiors wouldn't be able to afford it.
After strolling for a while, he finally found a suitable candidate. A fairly large structure stood in front of him as arrived in front of it.
He entered it and was greeted by a lively scene of patrons dining. The inn had a total of four floors. The ground floor and the first floor functioned as restaurants where guests could dine and have their meals. Of course, it wasn't limited to only people looking for rooms. Such a foolish decision would have no doubt run them out of business a long time ago.
The second and third floors were where the rooms were, with the fourth floor being used for management. Of course, like any other mid sized inn, they had various courtyards for rent sorroumding the primary structure.
Adrian casually picked a table in a fairly quiet section on the restaurant's first floor. His seat was next to a window, so he could observe those coming and going out on the street. He only had to wait for a few moments before a waiter approached him with a professional smile on her face.
"Dear customer, what can I get for you?" She asked with a practiced tone. Adrian casually picked out a few dishes on the menu along with some wine. The waiter soon left in order to get his food, leaving Adrian enjoying his view.
It didn't take long for her to return with his dishes as he silently enjoyed his view. His silence along with his hood made the waiter a bit uncomfortable but she didn't let it show on her face.
"Dear customer, is that all?" She asked in the same professional smile. However, the response she received this time surprised her quite a bit.
"I wish to speak to a manager. Tell them I have some business for them." He replied in an aloof tone. Now the waitress wa caught in a dilemma. On one hand, she didn't want to disturb the managers for such a shady customer, but on the other hand, her refusal could cost the inn to lose out on a supposed business deal.
She hesitated a bit before asking " D-Dear customer, could you please elaborate a bit. I'm afraid I can't disturb the managers without proper information."
Adrian silently stared at the woman for a while. Even with his hood on, she could feel his piercing gaze which made her very uncomfortable. She could only hope that her words hadn't managed to offend this individual.
After clearing out his throat, Adrian replied.
"Tell them it's about a rank 3 beast."
The waiters eyes widen as she heard Adrian's previous remark. This seemingly inconspicuous individual was actually here for a business relating to such a powerful beast. She quickly composes herself before bowing slightly ad scurrying off to inform her managers.
