Body cultivation was relatively unpopular in the world because of its difficulty. The number of rare treasures needed were astronomical.
However, the benefits were well worth it. An average body cultivator was much stronger than an average qi cultivator.
The reason he picked the great diamond body was because the cultivation method was a bit different from normal body cultivation techniques.
A normal body cultivation technique focuses of tempering the body slowly over a long period of time while the great diamond body uses a tremendous amount of force and energy to temper the body all at once. Enough energy is accumulated and released into the body simultaneously.
The massive amount of energy is then used to break down the body and reconstructs it in a stronger form.
However, this cultivation technique needed a lot of resources.
After finding an inn and renting a room, Adrian decided to explore the town while the kids stayed in the inn to relax.
Adrian stepped out and made his way towards a store that sold herbs.
Among the inheritance was also the method of alchemy.
Since he would need pills for his cultivation, he decided to also try his hand at alchemy.
The store had three floors and was rather large for such a town.
As he approached, he saw two guards standing at the entrance. From their auras, He could tell that they were at the peak of the foundation establishment realm.
They merely glanced at him before loosing interest. They saw all walks of life during their shifts so seeing someone in a hood didn't surprise them at all.
As he walked in, Adrian started looking around. The herbs required for a rank 1 pill were fairly common and weren't hard to find.
He went up to one of the counters and purchased a bunch of rank 1 medicinal herbs.
After making his purchases, he left the store and started moving towards a different region in the town.
He now needed to get a pill furnace however, in such a small town, it would be hard to find without having a few connections.
Just as he was lost in thought, a commotion broke out as a carriage was speeding across the road.
The driver just kept riding as if there were no consequences.
When it was approaching Adrian, it didn't slow down at all and just kept going.
It would have run him over if he hadn't gotten out of the way in time.
The driver just glanced at him and said in a mocking tone
"What a fool, he dares to stand in the way of alchemist Melvin's carriage"
He then continued without stopping.
Under his hood, there was a sly smile on Adrian's face.
"It seems I've found my furnace".
Within the carriage, alchemist Melvin was deep in thought. His clasped hands were resting on his protruding belly while there was a slight smile on his face.
"It seems the golden hart chamber of commerce got lucky recently. Where did they even find a rank 3 silvereye grass to put up for auction?"
"No matter what, I have to get it. With it, I can finally breakthrough and become a rank 3 alchemist. Then even the city lord would have to treat me courteously"
As he was smiling at his own thoughts, he didn't know that someone somewhere was already plotting his downfall.
Adrian went to a popular restaurant in the town known as 'Golden hart restaurant'.
It was owned by the golden hart chamber of commerce. After selecting a secluded seat on the first floor by the window, Adrian ordered a few dishes as he decided to listen in for any relevant information.
After a while, his dishes were served. As he started eating, a piece of information piqued his interest.
"The auction tomorrow is so sudden", said a young man at a table on the ground floor while talking to two others sitting with him.
"I know right? With such short notice, how do they expect people to prepare for it?" responded a middle age man as he was wolfing down his steak.
"Perhaps something happened. Maybe they got a rare item and couldn't wait to make some money" responded another.
"Well, the mystery will be solved tomorrow, won't it?" replied the young man.
Adrian listened to all this with an amused expression on his face. 'So that was why he was rushing. He was probably trying to gather enough resources for the auction tomorrow'.
After learning of this information, Adrian didn't stay any longer as he paid for his meal and returned back to the inn for some planning.
