When Sophia heard Kate utter the word "hand," she instinctively withdrew the one resting on Ivy's shoulder, feeling a pang of guilt.
Simultaneously, Ivy obediently extended her own hand. "I didn't even notice I had a cut." Suddenly, she acted like a little delicate flower. "It hurts so much."
Sophia: "..."
So Kate wasn't speaking to her.
Beside them, Annie was laughing so hard her shoulders shook, hugging a pillow as she collapsed onto the sofa. Watching a fool was just too amusing.
Sophia stretched out her foot, glaring as she gave Annie a hard kick on the leg.
Annie nearly had her leg broken, grabbing the pillow and smacking it onto Sophia's face.
While they were on the verge of a scuffle, Kate and Ivy seemed enveloped in their own world, entirely unaffected by the commotion nearby.
Kate unwrapped a bandage, bent down, and carefully applied it over Ivy's tiny wound.
