The last time Ivy visited Kate's home, she was filled with curiosity and excitement. This time, all she felt was nervousness.
Without any prior notice, why did Kate suddenly bring her home?
Resting elsewhere was still resting; bringing her home easily stirred the imagination.
Standing at the doorway, Ivy was so anxious she didn't know where to place her hands and feet, blushing like a ripe tomato.
Kate had already changed into her slippers and walked a good distance before realizing she'd lost someone.
Turning back, she saw Ivy looking as uneasy as if she were about to enter a lion's den.
She retraced her steps. "Do you need help changing your shoes?"
Ivy immediately shook her head but stood there, face flushed, too shy even to glance at Kate. Her hands nervously clutched the hem of her shirt.
Crossing her arms, Kate looked her up and down, amused. With a slight smile, she asked, "What are you so nervous about?"
