"Then let's not get up," Kate said calmly. "I'm in no hurry."
"Actually, we should get up," Ivy retorted, a hint of rebellion in her voice, insisting on the opposite.
"Don't want to look anymore?" Kate inquired.
"Everyone's waiting; what if they misunderstand?" Ivy said as she stood up, pulling Kate to her feet and helping her tie her clothing belt more securely.
Like a guardian protecting her treasure, Ivy wrapped Kate up tightly. She could admire her whenever she wished, but she couldn't let others see.
Kate might get jealous, but Ivy wasn't much better—she had a strong possessiveness.
She didn't see this as shameful; in fact, she was proud of it. If one could be so magnanimous in love, wouldn't that diminish the exclusivity of loving someone? She wanted Kate to be hers alone, entirely belonging to her, and she felt the same way about herself—no matter when, she was Ivy, who belonged solely to Kate.
