"Just as I thought, that is why I had lots of problem leading my team." Ethan said when he viewed his charisma stats.
"If the ranks there are of scriptweavers and chronarchs does that means I can level up both of them. But I remember Shawn saying taking no one can be a scriptweaver and a Chronarch at the same time." Ethan thought. Then another screen popped up in front of Ethan.

"Although I need to level up, an F class shadowmaw is still in the Tomehound major rank and that is a whole level above me. This will be a difficult quest." Ethan thought.
"But I still need to become stronger. Accept." Ethan said with determination. From nowhere a dog-like grimlore that seemed to be hiding it presence all the time appeared behind him in an attempt to claw him in the back but with the help of the stormsense, Ethan quickly noticed the attack and evaded with a quick front flip.
"Let's see if I can take this one out." Ethan said as he stood face-to-face with the shadowmaw. A dog-like grimlore which had shifting ancient text and sigils as if from an abandoned story on its body like fur with glowing red eyes which looked as if hey were glaring right at the soul of its opponent. "If I can recall correctly, the shadowmaw can track anything by scent even in darkness, they have the ability to teleport using any shadow or darkness around and any contact made with the is poisonous.
Quickly, the shadowmaw dashed towards Ethan at high speed but instantly entered the ground just like how the textmen were able to. "If that is what you're going to use then I can deal with you also." Ethan thought and activated the "sheath surge" but before he could plunge the sheathed sword into the ground the shadowmaw jumped out from behind him.
"Oh, shit! The higher their rank he more k" Ethan exclaimed and turned but before he could react the shadowmaw clawed at his back dealing him a great damage. Instantly, Ethan rolled out of the way before the shadowmaw could attack again and the damage made on him started healing as the "Dragon's beastly recovery" skill started working. "Feels much better." Ethan said after all the injuries on his body healed up.
"Then let's do it." Ethan said and charged in towards the shadowmaw. "Something is not right? Why isn't it attacking anymore." Ethan noticed as the shadowmaw stood as if there was nothing to worry about. A few seconds later Ethan started feeling dizzy. "I see. It has already poisoned me and my healing skill only works on injuries for now." Ethan said as he could hardly stand still now. "I have to get out of here." Ethan said and started running away from the shadowmaw which had also started chasing him.
As the shadowmaw chased Ethan it used the shadows of the dead textmen, Kolo beings and goblins Ethan had killed to teleport faster making Ethan feel more threatened. "How am I going to finish off this one too?" Ethan questioned as he couldn't think of any possible means to defeat the shadowmaw whiles he was still poisoned. "First let me find a good place to hide." Ethan said and ran a little faster before taking a sharp curve.
Right after the curve Ethan found a huge crack in the dungeon wall and hid in it, hoping not to be discovered by the shadowmaw. "Now the only way to kill the shadowmaw is to take it off guard. But in my current situation I can hardly even move." Ethan thought as he could feel his body getting numb.

"Grr!, grr!, grr!" The shadowmaw stood infront of Ethan growling angrily as if it had been searching for Ethan for centuries. Ethan had also passed out because of the poison whiles trying to figure out a way to defeat the shadowmaw but woke up when he could sense the shadowmaw nearby with the help of the 'stormsense' skill.
"Now there is no way out." Ethan said to himself as the shadowmaw ran towards him. The shadowmaw lunged forward to finish the job it had started but immediately time froze. Ethan who had now given up since his body couldn't move opened his eyes and found himself in different location. It was a grassland where the wind breezed calmly upon the horizon and the sunlight came down gently. It felt like a child who was in the arms of the mother, Ethan's whole body was at rest as all effects of the shadowmaw's poison seized and Ethan was back on his feet.
"You seem troubled do you need help?" An unfamiliar voice asked calmly. "A real lexicon protects it master till the end." The voice said again. "I won't blame your currently awakened lexicon since its actually just a piece of your power and you haven't drawn it's full power yet. I wish I can become your lexicon once more. Master!" The voice wished.
"If you're saying my current lexicon is just a piece of my power then do you know anything about my full power?" Ethan asked the voice as calmly as he could. "Yes, I'm your real lexicon. Master, agree to my request and you shall gradually achieve your full power." The voice said as a lexicon manifested infront of Ethan.
The sixteen (16) feet wide and ten (10) feet long lexicon had unique glowing symbols and text etched into its covering. Its cover was made of an otherworldly material that Ethan had neither seen nor touched, heard or learnt off. At first glance it looked like a transparent glass but upon further inspections the covering could be seen like it was made of a flexible metal forged out of pure water if not an illusion.
"Impossible! I've never seen any material of this form can it even exist." Ethan exclaimed. "Accept the request master and get to know what even he most knowledgeable man in your world doesn't know." The voice said once more. "If it is saying it is truly my power then, I accept your request." Ethan said boldly.
"Then first, let me take care of the danger ahead of you." The voice said and instantly Ethan could feel a different being inside of him which took control of his body immediately. In the next second, Ethan was back in the dungeon and the time unfroze. The shadowmaw which had lunged forward at Ethan instantly felt to the ground as if being pushed down by a powerful force and the whole area froze as ice covered everything. "Is this ice also part of my power?" Ethan asked himself.
"Don't you think you've done enough?" The unfamiliar voice said through Ethan. "Disappear." The voice said calmly and instantly the shadowmaw vanished as if it never existed. "Master, this is the power of words from your lexicon." The voice said. Immediately a screen popped up infront of Ethan again.

"It disappeared. If this is really my power then I don't think it'll really be that easy to master." Ethan thought.
"Don't be mistaken master, that is just the basics of your power. You can do more than that." The voice said. "But master you need to become stronger than what you're now. Or else you would fail to draw the power of your lexicon." The voice said and faded away.
"That's what I had intended to do. No matter the barrier I shall break through." Ethan said motivated than ever.
